I was given the spinner and trackball as a gift. The spinner is amazing! The trackball lights up and rolls up and down fine. It will not go left and right.
The track-ball looks Great Glen, I already have the Spinner & Interface Board installed in my Arcade1up 12 in 1 & it works Perfect. Adding this track-ball to the 12 in 1 would make all the games playable & fun. Keep us updated when we can purchase this track-ball & as always Thank You!!

Ok got the spinner (and RED top). It exceed expectations !! Was able to order the 12in1 interface (says it will ship 6-5-19). Now I just need to get on the "trackball" pre-order train . Thank you Glen!
Having bought the spinner and splitter board I am quite certain the trackball will be a must have. The original A1U ball is ok but doesn't have the precision feel and weight that it should to emulate true arcade. I totally appreciate your efforts Glen and am hoping that I will be able to buy a trackball from you too. I should probably buy your buttons at the same time and really make the whole thing complete and in budget. You guys can rest assured that you are transforming the Arcade1Up into an achievable true arcade machine experience.

Yup will get a trackball when available... Also have u seen the brightness, contrast boards to take care of the overly bright washed out displays.... maybe u could add those to your list of things to offer...

After replaced my purchase of your trackball, it seems to be better movements than the original 12-1 trackball. I'm curious about its movement so I viewed your video. I have noticed my trackball has much more friction and the cursor doesn't move freely like yours. I opened up the case and looked at the 3 bearing inside to see if something I can clean or adjust. The front one when I spin with my finger it spins for a long time. The other 2 bearing are more restricted (won't spin more than few rounds). I wonder if I can use silicon spray to lubricate them? If not, is it possible to get the replacement for these 2 bearings (1 without the black wheel). Thank you!
Don't know how I'm going to jam that trackball and spinner into my x-arcade duel but for that price, since your just throwing them away, maybe I'll just glue them to my monitor till I figure it out :-D
Hi glen hey just some input you mentioned you can change the sensitivity in mame will you be able to have some dip switches added to do that change as I dont have access to mame and dont plan on doing that mod seems like that option may be needed for other games thanks love your stuff
They exist, they are made by cutting widescreen lcd panels to 4:3 ratio. And they are expensive, like $1,000+ last I saw. One smart guy created an arcade cab with a 16:9 TV vertically, and hid a portion of the screen. He utilized only part of the screen to capture a 4:3 ratio. Google mimic arcade cabinet.

@@desirelines9 hey.. the spinner has sensitivity and arcade1up/pi,pc adjustments as well as mame settings. The trackball only needs a1up/pi,pc settings by a jumper. All sensitivity settings can be set in the emulator

Hello I bought your trackball from Amazon in December 2021 for the Arcade1up original 4 game Centipede. It works much better than the original but yours seems way to sensitive and jumps around when stopped. Is there a way to change the sensitivity on your trackball? I watched your USB board hack on the first release 1Up games and i am capable of performing this, but if this is the only method to adjust sensitivity for your trackball for Arcade1Up, would you have some values to recommend for the settings? hello, is it normal to have problems with the trackball of the simpsons arcade 1up cabinet?, when I turn the ball very fast, it launches slowly in the game, and when I throw it controlled or with moderate force it shoots out very quickly, it should not be like that that, it is supposed that the faster the trackball rotates, it should be launched with more force, also, I have noticed a certain brake when I turn a character from one side to another, when I turn quickly to one side it should continue its movement until the ball stops, but the movement is interrupted as if it were choppy, I feel that it is not working well, is this problem normal or is it just my cabinet?

I'm getting a glitch with Glen's Trackball - it lights up fine when powered but now the screen on my 12 in 1 is blank and it's not booting up anymore.. I have the Trackball hooked up to a Turbo Twist interface... Any ideas? I had it on there originally and it was working, not just stopped working.
I don't have any knowledge on the turbo twist interface there's been no testing on such a unit. the trackball was designed to go directly into the arcade1up unit or my 12 in 1 board. my spinner as well as the arcade1up original spinner also could connect to my trackball but the way you have it connect it and never been tested I can only suggest you try disconnecting everything going back to stock and see if it works okay. I don't know if the turbo twist has any weird voltages or voltage is on the line that we don't use

I simply added a full PC..but you can just as easy add a pi or similar device., A cheep USB joy encoder and in my case I used a full vga monitor..but you can get a part to modify the A1up screen.

Well in the arcade1up it will act like the stock spinner as far as the games see it. But with quality ball berrings in there ;)

On Discs of Tron it was the same stick but it had another button for deflecting discs. Could that be added to the Tron stick you are working on?

From stick needs 2 buttons on top flat space. That's 3 action buttons per stick. Tank games , xenophobe ect.....
It would not be Tron accurate with two buttons there..with that said... You can sure add buttons there 🙂
