A 17" screen on a shooter is TOO SMALL!!!!!

I play shooters on a 83 inch oled. 17 is way too small. Atleast a 27 inch.
Terrible decision with that screen. Shame. I see it on sale for $450 but that screen.. no
I used to play Time Crisis on the playstation with a light gun on a 13" screen.

I was really surprised it didn't have all the time crisis games. There are so many! 1, 2, 3, 4, crisis zone, and more I'm sure!
They'd be pretty tough to emulate, and they definitely aren't porting them
Aside from Crisis Zone, the whole appeal of the later games was the two player setup with each player getting their own monitor and unique progression through the stages. Wouldn't have worked unless you wanted to spend four figures.
I have owned my Time Crisis arcade machine for 8 months now and it is still my favorite to play out of the 15 Arcade1up machines I own.
Nice review, I picked up a CRT tv instead with guncon 1 and 2 to play PS1 and PS2 lightgun games instead. Got all the time crisis games now except 5. Also picked up point blank 2, vampire night, maximum force, Virtua cop 1 and 2, ghoul panic, crisis zone, ninja assault etc. Cost me about half the price of this but I have 15 arcade lightgun games to play.

@@Chrisretrofan For me it's very hard to pick a clear winner when it comes to time crisis games, I love all of them. Sometimes I feel 2 is the best and then sometimes I crave to play the first one as well. 3 is great too and 4 is better than people say it is. Project titan is very underrated also.
@ytyndale3643 yeah I used to love project titan around 2000. With a friend. I feel time crisis 2 used to be my favourite. Definitely the arcade cabinet version. Ps2 version still good. I know time crisis 3 is popular but I don't play it as much as tc 1 or 2 but the ps1 version has special mission which I love exclusive to playstation. I don't remember much about tc 4. I might of had years ago on ps3 but I don't go back to it. And time crisis 2 on ps2 should off had an extra mode like special mission on tc 1. I'm not in to crisis missions
Thats awesome but it makes me sad, I had an excellent flat 20" CRT I played PS games on growing up, had Time Crisis, light guns, etc. I cant recall what happened to all that gear, been through so many moves and life changes. :-/

Just got my time crisis. Struggled for a while whether the 650 price tag was worth it. So far so good! I am happy with my purchase!
I'm loving my Time Crisis cab! The cab looks incredible and the game is really fun. I used to be able to beat this on one credit, now I can make it up to the stage 2 boss. Steel Gunner is ridiculously hard, I can't imagine trying to play that in the arcade! Even T2 doesn't eat your credits that fast! Overall I think this is easily one of the best products Arcaade1up has released, though I still think Star Wars just barely beats it out. Hope this goes on sale eventually so more people can pick it up.
Do you find the screen size ok ? Even for 2P Point Blank ? And does the pedal slide on the floor like some say ?

The small screen and mechanical guns make this cabinet an embarrassment.
I would love to see them do a Lethal Enforcers (which I don't need myself since I have the original/real arcade on that one); still would be nice to see if/how they would do that one!

I’m 4 months late, but sadly sega legitimately lost the source code to house of the dead 1. That’s why 2 + 3 were only bundled for the Wii and ported properly.
@@maxonwolf5841 Yeah but these 1up cabs are mostly just being emulated. I'm sure they'd just grab a model 2 rom rip & repack it into the cabinet.

The only gun game I’m interested in buying is the house of the dead 1 2 3 4 I remember seeing the house of these 4 in the arcade and Sega stopped making house of the dead games it went on PS3 they don’t make light guns anymore for consoles

I don't understand why they don't have beefier guns and reload pedals or even a pull back slider on the gun itself, if they had that and a bigger monitor I'd absolutely buy this at double the price.
It's using the Sinden Lightgun tech. By far the best modern lightgun we have, even if it does lack some of the TC gun features. I've got one of the Sinden guns myself, they're very nice.
I'd probably be willing to try it for $200 or less, but knowing A1UP quality, just can't bring myself to spend more.
Just wanted to say that I am more interested in Steel Gunner than the other games. I remember loving them when first playing them as a Robotech fan. Sure the newer games are more advanced but the art style and everything else was awesome at the time.
Seems like a nice cab, but would've preferred to have Time Crisis Project Titan instead of the Steel Gunner games, and fingers crossed there's another cab of the PS2 Time Crisis games (Time Crisis 2, 3, and Crisis Zone)
Its needs the Namco decal and the screen recess.

I played SNES Lethal Enforcers on a Commodore 64 monitor.
This is on sale for $655.00 USD at walmart today 12/25/23. If it was released for that price I think the reviews would have been stronger since the price was the biggest hold up. I think $600 would be the impulse price to hit for it to really take off.
This should have been Time Crisis + Point Blank 1 2 and 3 then it would be god tier
yeah, i would have bought it if i didnt still have all of the time crisis games and point blank games on my consoles with guncons and a 42" sony trinitron crt, and now i also have the pandora retro shooter hooked up to a 50" flat screen as well. i do have T2.

If you have 2 players how does the pedal work? Wouldn’t you need 2 pedals for time crisis?
The two player games do not require pedals at all. Time Crisis was a 1 player game, you may be remembering Time Crisis 2 (and onward)
You have it good in the States the Time Crysis machine costs only 499 Bucks, but in Germany it costs 799 Euro. The Terminator 2 cabinet is not available at all. I don‘t like the distribution policy of Arcade1Up in Germany.😕
The screen should be at least 19", it would totally fit, and also come with time crisis 2 at least, the other games are nice but for the price getting at least the first two versions would have sweetened the deal.

Looks amazing, but way too pricey. For that amount I’d expect most of the time crisis games along with point blank 1&2. But we know what they’re going to do at a later date.

I've seen the Terminator one for sell at Home Depot and i was wondering if its any good. I was also wondering why don't they just do a all in one shooter cabinet that has all the shooters? I feel it's a waste to have just one game. Im a fan of the Area 51 games and if they come out with one of them i might go get one of them instead

The recoil mechanism on the original was a good portion of the fun for me and this inferior mechanical version of it really takes away from the experience.
Can you use the t2 guns?
I’m not 100% sure BUT I saw someone using the buck hunter shotguns to connect and they worked. If the T2 connection is the same with the serial port than it should.
For a gun games it needs a 19 inch screen minimum! They already raised the price so it it took another $50 to make it 19 inch nobody would complete!!

17" display (closer to 16" with boarder) for that much? It sucks on my Buck Hunter for $200 less, so seems even more for this. Only the Bucky Girls saves Buck Hunter.

Point blank was awful, steel gunner is kinda meh, so many light gun games and they picked time crisis and got the other licenses for the other meh games for cheap. If you a crisis fan your gonna like this but for me that’s more Area 51 and house of the dead this is a no doubt pass for me

May I ask if you experienced aiming issues due to the small screen and was it difficult for you to shoot faraway targets in the game backgrounds? Or is that something that can be calibrated or worked around? Thanks and keep up the great content good sir!

So the sweet spot for these light guns are making sure the gun's tip/camera doesn't go PAST the front of the control deck board (area that holds the guns) and you won't have any issues. I've been playing a lot of point blank and haven't had any aiming issues if you stay farther back than closer and the gun wires go back at least 4-5 ft from the machine.
Smaller screen does make aiming easier in the end and you get used to it.
Have you played 2P point blank ? How is the game play / aiming with 2p ? I never played Time crisis in the arcade and played point blank only in the PlayStation so even though the nostalgia is not there this looks like a great cab , especially with all of the leaderboards!! By the way buystuff has a 19” plug and play monitor upgrade (BOE) I’m all 80’s but this might be an exception ! Love point blank !
