Been looking at short trailers and this has the best use of limited space. Nothing else this size has a huge kitchen with plenty of counter space, with dining and workspace and huge toilet space and non convertible dining to bed all at the same time. Good job. Great layout. The person who thought of this layout is a genius.
I am super impressed with this one! It checks off A TON of boxes for me. The kitchen, the bathroom, and storage looks great for something soooo small, but solo or couples should have plenty of space for their stuff. One thing I would add is a double wide foot rest w/storage to put in front of the theater seat. I had some other things to say about this but I chased a squirrel and can't remember. 😂
Other MFG's, take note of the storage in the bathroom on this model. Why are we seeing larger TT's & 5th wheels with pitiful amounts of storage in the bathroom where this 18ft TT can get it done right?? Honestly, the efficient use of space throughout this trailer is impressive and proves there's plenty of room for improvement across the industry. Honestly, this one checks almost all the boxes for me, something that other mfg's models 10ft larger struggle with!
Wow! Counter top, a bar, or a desk top space all in one! Imagine's people are really thinking about (and using) ALL the available space. Even the deeper half of the medicine cabinet!! I am impressed!
Hi Josh, Yes, I like this one. Nice roomy bathroom. Bed in the slide, very nicely done. Interesting how they gave you a place to eat without a dinette. And no need to put the murphy bed "up" just to eat. Great outdoor storage under the murphy. Gotta give this one an A+
As close to perfect as you can get, and that's saying something. Having been a sailboat owner, I'm very critical about space and its best use. This one? This one I can't criticize at all. Nothing. It would just be personal preferences, like the couch/bed combo. I'd prefer a lift and pull couch/bed, but that's just me. It's fine the way it is. They've finally done it! Thanks for showing us this one, Josh.

Not normally a fan of single axels or murphy beds, but I'm very impressed with this one. Only real downside is you'd have to keep your clothing under the sofa or under the bar table.
I'm totally in love! Even though it's super tiny, each zone is so spacious. This is the best, well thought out unit I've ever seen for a small RV. I just wish all manufacturers would put at least 2 awning windows in their RV's. It would allow air flow when it rains. It's crazy that we have to use the AC when it's raining only to keep the rain from coming in. It's a waste of power and money. Thanks for the tour. This RV is wonderful!
Wow. So much to like. Something I've figured out is that you need a comfortable place to sit inside for rainy days (dinettes do NOT count). At my age I need a bathroom (don't want to walk to bathhouse in the middle of the night). You need some food prep space and a sink to wash dishes. You need a fridge / freezer to store food. The convection microwave is brilliant. I don’t think I've ever seen a camper this small that checks all of these boxes. Really impressive. I'm not crazy about murphy beds though. It is kind of a pain when you're tired at the end of the day to have to put your bed together. I also wonder how comfortable that mattress is... I prefer a soft mattress. But overall this is a genius design.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'm fortunate to have exceptional eyesight, especially night vision, so I find most lighting setups to be too bright. So dimmer is gooder. 😁
I only got 5 seconds in this video when i had to see if it is available in my area- I retire in 11 years, plan to get a Diesel Canyon Denali to pull a trailer with a dry bath and 1 slide- until now the trailer has only been theory ! I love this design and the price is great- now i need to keep an eye on it for 2 or 3 years for when i get the truck !
The floor plan is perfect for the size. And the weights would allow mid-sized SUV's tow it no problem. Hook that puppy up to a Ford Ranger 4x4 and head off in the boondocks for some great camping. This would be great for a single person TT or a very compatible couple.
Wow! This is awesome. Even a ladder. If only we could have that guarantee that the retracted slide could be used. Maybe with the addition of some kind of chock or brace.
I really like this design. Only one suggestion for redesign. Add two feet to length, put deep pantry on bathroom wall t the entry, and double/or more the cargo capacity. I really do like it though.

I’m so glad you were able to review this model! When you put out your first Aim video a few weeks ago I popped over to GD’s website to look at their other models. This one definitely caught my eye! I have never been a fan of dinettes. The fact that they got rid of it and replaced it with a multifunction area is fabulous! You could use it for extra cooking/prep space, serving a buffet, eat in bar, or even a small desk/home office. This truly would be perfect for a solo camper, and possibly for a couple if you weren’t full timing. This is in my top 2 TT right now (the other is the Outdoors RV 19 MKS) Great job as always!
Love it. There are some things they could have done. For one the drawers under the seat. They could have had a cover above the drawer when you open them up and then throw a cushion on to for your legs. Although I could make that myself. A table that lifts up from the floor where the seats are could have been a good idea. The table could have been built into the floor and you just lift it up by a handle of something. I just saw a diffent view of the walk way. very very tight. In that case forget a table. Since it is so tight that bar space should be a take removable option. Other than that it looks great. Love the counter space and a decent size fridge. Can a Tacoma pull this?
I think it’s meant to be for me…I’m sitting here, watching this video, dropping a deuce, and as soon as it fell out, it said stools included. I’m sold.

This is a cool little camper. If I could make any changes I think I would like a front window and have a sofa with cup holders so you get those little swing away tables.
Finally! I have not understood why RV makers haven't adapted something like this more often, especially in small towables. Shasta cracked this code decades ago with their beloved Compact model, and brought it to near perfection in the 1400 and the 16SC, using a narrow 7 foot body and only a 10, 12 or 14 foot long box. By moving the kitchen to the front you open things up and completely change the whole feel of being inside. You can get a decent kitchen prep and storage space while leaving the rear open for everything else and avoiding that awkward, claustrophobic feel of so many small RVs that insist on side galleys. I am a huge fan of the front (or in some cases rear) kitchen in all sizes of trailer for this reason. This might not suit every need (no RV can) but I have long wondered why this tried and true formula isn't used more, though front kitchens are starting to become more common. I'm impressed with Grand Design for coming up with this one even if it isn't completely dialed in for me. I would like to see a real, even if small, oven. With such great kitchen space it is a shame not to at least offer an option of a regular oven for those that would want it. Though I don't love the murphy bed in the slide, it does solve a lot of issues and allow for a decent dry bath in the back. I'd like to see something that looked more like a comfy couch and less like an ugly bus seat. Some side bolsters to serve as arm rests, and as others have suggested, hassocks that could offer storage and perhaps double as table space. Side tables with a small drawer for storage on each side of that couch doubling as night stands would be a necessity for me, though you might have to steal that space from somewhere else. I'd gladly make the trade. For people looking for a smaller trailer that feels cozy but not cramped, this is the way to go. I have spent many happy hours in my vintage Shasta, and have had 4 people in it for meals. We were certainly cozy, but there was no feeling of claustrophobia even though it is really a very small space. It has always seemed to me that these advantages could be amplified on a larger frame and that seems to be demonstrated here.
The AIM series is really impressive, I think; they're packing a lot of utility into the smaller chassis. I do wish they'd offer a package, at least, with non-black decals; the ones on my XLS keep the nose uncomfortably hot much of the year, and seems like a smaller cabin would be even more pronounced.
Liked the sofa in the Vibe better with the recliner sofa. This sofa seems small and no side tables. Kitchen is fantastic! Caddy corner toilet is weird. Overall Vibe is a bit nicer. IMO
This is adorable! I wish Grand Design would change the sofa style/look..Light saber lights 😆 love it! Wow! 2024 and you guys have the sale price listed 😮
Wow, what an efficient layout. The kitchen is awesome. I like the layout and especially the 2 burner and lower microwave. Love the little appliance nook! In the bathroom, it looks like the med cabinet door would hit the valance? Nice sized bathroom. I'm really surprised a trailer this small there are 2 sewer outlets. That's a shame. I like this one a lot.
Ok, Im in Love yet again, even with the slide. This is perfect for a single person or couple just traveling around. Just wish it had a little bit more cargo capacity. Great size bathroom too. Also could use the extra counter space as cool little desk for a laptop. And, as small as it is, would be great for a newbie😃
very nice little trailer. I would miss a propane oven, as it turns out we use ours a lot, but I do wish more bigger trailers would go to the two burner cooktop to allow for more counter space. I don't think we have ever used more than two burners at a time, so why have three? great review.
lol, yes sadly that is true. Maybe there is an invention at hand. A stove with oven but just 2 burners and some solid counter space. Hmmmm. 😐@@JoshtheRVNerd
I didn't hear mention of stools for the bar. I wonder if they could put a space heater under there. It would lose some storage but would a nice touch while on the couch/sofa and "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
Nice package in a small camper under 20'. I like the design. The breakfast bar is unique but needs a pair of stools. The only deal breaker is not having a 1 piece seamless roof design like Gulfstream or Venture Sonic lightweight.
4 Non Blonde reference -- epic!! I like the lighting since it's dimmable. But assume limited to all on or all off simultaneously? Kitchen cubby: paper goods Very interesting, I like it!
I love it - really need some smaller rigs so we can upgrade from our tent trailer and still use our 4Runner to tow it. I don't want to buy a sherman tank to tow our trailer for the 2 weeks of the year we go camping.
I think the design would work for us and our 2 little dogs. The dog bed would fit by the bar area and then use folding bar stools tucked underneath. I wonder how well it tows being that small?
Awesome little compact trailer for sure! Dumb question for someone who might know; The back black/gray tanks are the bathroom and sink and that front gray is for the kitchen. But, when you use the black tank flush on the front do you have to use the back tank drain or can you use the front drain? Just seems a little hectic with the back and forth is all. It would be nice if that black tank flush was right above the black tank drain if that's the drain you have to use.
Love this trailer. The only thing I would do differently would be to find a way to fold up the camp side bar/table during transit to 1) easily deploy the bed with the slide in while traveling and 2) allow access to the kitchen while the bed is down and the slide is in. I like this as a couple's trailer for those with limited towing capacity. Were you able to confirm the ability to use the bed with the slide in?
Really like this trailer! Only change i would like to see is another axle, a window in front, drawers instead of open shelves under breakfast bar and the only possible deal breaker for me is it does not have a single drain for black and gray water. Otherwise, i really like this trailer. Good video Josh
@@JoshtheRVNerd I think that's a great idea. In today's world smaller and lighter with most big trailer amenities and smaller vehicles is the way to go

Great design and layout 👌. Love the wood interior rather than bland white.
Thanks so much!
I love it .I want one
Cute little camper. Paper towels maybe in the cubby.
Ooh good call
This is making me rethink my plan to replace my current 30 footer with another 30 footer 🤔 Very nice camper 👍
Wow high marks
They really packed a lot into the space
Liked the sofa in the Vibe better with the recliner sofa. This sofa seems small and no side tables. Kitchen is fantastic! Caddy corner toilet is weird. Overall Vibe is a bit nicer. IMO
This is adorable! I wish Grand Design would change the sofa style/look..Light saber lights 😆 love it! Wow! 2024 and you guys have the sale price listed 😮
They must work on the bed use with slide in, then they'll win the jackpot. So well design 👍
That would seal the deL for me too
That would be cool!

This is perfect for traveling state to state around the country upon retirement....🤔
Definitely easy to move around
Ok, Im in Love yet again, even with the slide. This is perfect for a single person or couple just traveling around. Just wish it had a little bit more cargo capacity. Great size bathroom too. Also could use the extra counter space as cool little desk for a laptop. And, as small as it is, would be great for a newbie😃
I feel like you’re right
Very nice, but I don't think you can use the soda with the slide-in either. Beside that is very nice.
very nice little trailer. I would miss a propane oven, as it turns out we use ours a lot, but I do wish more bigger trailers would go to the two burner cooktop to allow for more counter space. I don't think we have ever used more than two burners at a time, so why have three? great review.
I feel similarly about stoves but if you want an oven, then you’ll get three burners
lol, yes sadly that is true. Maybe there is an invention at hand. A stove with oven but just 2 burners and some solid counter space. Hmmmm. 😐@@JoshtheRVNerd
@@ShawnPatterson402 I think a lot of people would love to see it - a stove that can be set up as "left/right/centered" above an oven would be amazing
Your personality is Awesomeness! 🤣
well TY :)
Wish Grand Design would put front windows so it seems more open
Nice RV. Would fit my needs perfectly. Paper towel storage in kitchen corner cubby. Only one con, talking my wife into it.
😆
I didn't hear mention of stools for the bar. I wonder if they could put a space heater under there. It would lose some storage but would a nice touch while on the couch/sofa and "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
Stools included. I think I failed to display them but you’ll see them in future videos. They fold flat and store under the mattress
Nice package in a small camper under 20'. I like the design. The breakfast bar is unique but needs a pair of stools. The only deal breaker is not having a 1 piece seamless roof design like Gulfstream or Venture Sonic lightweight.
Agreed!
Love it I can live in this for a bit to save money
4 Non Blonde reference -- epic!!
I like the lighting since it's dimmable. But assume limited to all on or all off simultaneously?
Kitchen cubby: paper goods
Very interesting, I like it!
Yeah all on or off
I really like this trailer. I’d really like a window above the sink and a true queen bed. Overall I could make this work.
I want one.
😊
This is absolutely amazing
Glad you like it
Impressive little unit.
Thx for watching!
I love it - really need some smaller rigs so we can upgrade from our tent trailer and still use our 4Runner to tow it. I don't want to buy a sherman tank to tow our trailer for the 2 weeks of the year we go camping.
lol I get it. I do t have daily need for a bigger vehicle and don’t want to get an rv just for that purpose
I think the design would work for us and our 2 little dogs. The dog bed would fit by the bar area and then use folding bar stools tucked underneath. I wonder how well it tows being that small?
Single axles are always a little more jumpy behind a vehicle than tandems. But it’s wide, which actually can help us stability.
Black tank flush sprays directly into the black tank
Love this trailer. The only thing I would do differently would be to find a way to fold up the camp side bar/table during transit to 1) easily deploy the bed with the slide in while traveling and 2) allow access to the kitchen while the bed is down and the slide is in. I like this as a couple's trailer for those with limited towing capacity.
Were you able to confirm the ability to use the bed with the slide in?
Confirmed you cannot on schwintek slides
Really like this trailer! Only change i would like to see is another axle, a window in front, drawers instead of open shelves under breakfast bar and the only possible deal breaker for me is it does not have a single drain for black and gray water. Otherwise, i really like this trailer. Good video Josh
Thank you. I wonder if they’ll start doing some of these Murphy beds in the slides of their tandem axle XLS series
@@JoshtheRVNerd I think that's a great idea. In today's world smaller and lighter with most big trailer amenities and smaller vehicles is the way to go
