Suppressors wraps undoubtedly look super cool. But are they truly necessary? Today we look at the relevance of suppressor wraps and we check out the Liberty's Defense wrap. They're not cheap, but excellent quality.
I put my light on the left side of my suppressor so that the light hits me before the suppressor does when slung.
Hey fair enough
🤔 that’s interesting
12 o clock is best
I will use a suppressor wrap to make sure my enemy can't find me in my mom's basement when I'm larping
lol did the video hurt you
I didn’t think I’d need one just shooting precision bench rest. I was so wrong. That mirage happens quickly. Just wrapped my can in exhaust wrap I had in my garage for a class in a few days. Don’t have time to order something. Shocked these wraps can cost $100+
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate; Jake gets excited with "meat juice", Chris is not in flavor town, and Crispy is still trying to spell thermodynamics in the snow with Finn.
Hahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂 Finn can spell it. Crispy is struggling

Tonight on Syndicate TV, The boys make crispy suppressor foreskin on toast. Brought to you by Pam Grilling High Heat formula non-stick cooking spray.
😂😂😂
Suppressor covers are pretty much mandatory if you're using a magnified optic. A hot can will throw so much mirage into a decent power optic that you won't be able to see shit.
Bro I never would have thought of this. Thank you for sharing that.
This hugely important and the reason I have wraps on my cans that see use my my precision guns, the mirage off a toasty can will make shots past 500 yards impossible.
Due to this video I purchased a liberty's defense wrap. While I have not received and tried it out yet, the customer service has been outstanding. After purchasing I noticed an 8-10 week wait. I am in the process of moving in about 2 weeks and reached out to cancel the order until after I moved. The owner of liberty's defense called me to let me know that the model that I was ordering for is one of their most common and they make them in batches (Deadair sandman s) and would be able to ship within a couple of days. Owner is a prior active duty marine like myself and we ended up BS'ing for ~10 min. They are currently picking up several contracts with the USMC for various units, marsoc and even some air wing units. We also discussed the possible R&D of making two part wraps for hybrid suppressors like the rugged obsidian and deadair wolfman. Hope to see those products down the road, but will definitely be a return customer for the customer service alone. Thanks 1911 syndicate for a great video introducing the company to me.
Awesome 🤙🏻
I love how at 4:05 Chris is just standing there looking like a proud dad 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂 right? So awkward
Cooking Lessons with Chris and Jake! Takeaways: Non stick cooking spray is required for suppressor bacon cooking. Suggestions: Maybe don't use a Flow-through-style can to keep a little more carbon off of the bacon? We do go to a lot of effort/cost not to breathe in the toxic gasses and carbon particulates, only to end up eating them on the bacon. lol. 😅Idk, it's a free country do what you want. That was epic either way.
I'll admit I was skeptical because of the price of the Libertys defense cover. Until I got to handle and use one in person. Definitely worth it. Have them on both of my cans now.
Good to hear. They are a great company and great product. I agree once you use them you can tell the difference
I have liberty covers on every suppressor I have. Best on the market hands down!
🤙🏻
Without a doubt brother 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Manta Defense makes great stuff for suppressors and mlok rails I love their mlok grip panels!!!! Great video as always guys!!!! One of my favorite channels!!!!
I wonder which CGS can I should get for my 300 blk, I love that you guys are making videos on this stuff. Wraps are essential equipment in my book, and are indeed SOP for some.
Hyperion K brother that can will kick ass on your 300
I am pretty sure they are the only cover on the market that can hold up to higher paced fire. Most of them if you dump 1-2 mags you melt it or burn it. All of the others are really only mirage covers for like bolt guns. Definitely best on the market hands down
I mean we purposely dumped 3 mags in about 2 minutes and it was fine
You are 100% correct sir.
So of all the videos I have seen this is the most practical and fun way to make a point on this topic. It has certainly influenced my decision.
Because of this video, I am now cutting my steaks, a little thicker and double wrapping them, instead of buying a suppressor cover!
As I get older, I shoot more rounds in less range visits throughout the year. Wraps are really nice if you actually shoot at a high schedule during long sessions.
My can just got approved today hopefully I pick it up tomorrow and I'm immediately going to get a wrap for it
Sweet!
I'm sure a good wrap but $300...... maybe for some, just not me at that price point. That's a light or a RDS, just saying.
Burn proof gear is half that
Unlike other activities in my life, I always wrap my can.
my man 🤣🤣🤣
For $350 these are probably best if you are shooting high volume or FA. A lot of cheaper options that aren't always terrible.
And you’ll end up buying multiple of those other ones over time where you would buy once cry once with this. Even non high round count those other ones can’t take the abuse over time.
I've never wrapped mine and there's been a few times where I get a bump or two afterwards. It's not fun.
I hate getting burned and blisters on my hands.
Burn proof gear is amazing but I'd like to try liberty for s**** and giggles.
Edit: damn. 150 vs 350? Better be gooder than bpg
I run a Dead Air Nomad 30 with a Coletac wrap. It's not perfect, but it definitely helps me more quickly swap from rifle to rifle while at the range.
@1911syndicate...... You've been picked for being a dumbass waste of space that made it to adulthood without contributing to society. Congratulations on worthlessness. I'm sure you'll die a happy, loved, content person...
Lesson learned, use some foil, wrap the meat in the foil, wrap the foil around the suppressor! :)

Thank you for your suppressor meat snackrifice. Very educational 😂

Selling Liberty wraps , expensive. I’m sure they received the wraps free. When I’m on the range I’ll remember contact left contact right while using my wrap.
Ok your choice of music was 🔥….PERFECTO!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Lol great timing my can almost ate through the table today. Just got done scrubbing all the paint off
Manta Defense silicone covers will not melt.
Down sides are they are bulky and your can might melt.
Forgot to mention that they are ribbed for her pleasure.
Most certainly wrap. My Honey Badger SD's suppressor is mostly inside the M-Lok handguard, but I still wrap the handguard where the suppressor sits to help keep my hand from getting singed as I shoot, and my thigh and/or nuts from getting burnt when it hangs on my single point sling. I don't think I'd mistreat my suppressor cooking meat, you're a bad bad man.
I keep a small towel in my bag and wrap my suppressor in it to put it in my bag. That being said, I still have a nice scar on my inner calf from a suppressor burn a few years ago. Wearing shorts while shooting suppressed. Ouch!!! LOL
I've been looking for wraps for my cans for a year now. These are expensive, I'll probably buy one to see how it is, then buy more if satisfied. Thanks for the code.
👍🏻👍🏻
100% can guarantee you will be happy running them for 6 months plus this video and been very happy
Chris, it was nice meeting you at the Quiet in the Capitol event.
Hey my dude 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼 very nice to see and meet you sir thank you for coming out 👊🏼
Chris I can’t believe you let Jake clown on you the way he does when he out there dressed like that. 😂
I got one for both config's of the Dead Air Wolfman for my PTR-9c. The #☆&% thing looks so good on the gun, I never let get that hot anyway. Semper Fi.
I haven't tried Liberty's but the BPG i had kept sliding off and shredding. Cole-tac one has been solid so far and stopped me from turning strips of my leg into bacon a time or 3.
I have the Liberty for mine and it's not easy to put on but it's amazing and at the same time expensive. But last one you'll ever need
Thanks for the video on a nice piece of equipment 👍🏻
Can't get enough of this channel. Get presentation and information as always!
Hey thank you sir that’s very kind and we try to bring some good useful products and info to the best of our ability.
I’m starting to think Jake’s preferred rifle setup is 14.5 P/W with a suppressor and meat wrap.

They look cool, thats all that needs to be said about it. I will say I'm shocked noones tested exhaust/header wrap on suppressors yet.
Lol, one of my first prototypes was, this works much better!
Chris throwing shade at Jake’s little baby hands. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
HEY!
Will these sleeves accelerate degradation (or change the physical properties) of the cans? I'd imagine the wraps will inhibit heat dissipation if they're designed to be thermal insulators. I'd like to see how cans made from different materials interact with a wrap on it.
We are probably coming up on 6 months of content with me runnin that gun and wrap. I also shoot that gun at my other job all the time. There is no data showing this degrades anything more or less.
The Modtac Suppressor Shield is probably the best "Cover" i have seen out there.
Some interesting third party tests that have taken place that may contradict that statement
@@nicholaswacker2026 Welp I guess I am wrong. By any chance do you have a link to the reviews.

If you shoot with a suppressor, you know why you need a cover! They get really hot!
Is there any research on the wraps causing more wear and tear on the suppressor by retaining the heat of the suppressor? Not that I'd imagine it would be much concern of the vast majority of people who won't even shoot out their suppressor even if there is extra wear on it. I'm just curious if anyone has tested such a thing.
Honestly I’m not sure
Has been tested. No data shows that it has any measurable difference. 🤷🏻♂️
I would love one but damn that price. Usually i'm okay with buying more expensive gear if it's higher quality but not sure it's in the budget soon.
They just seem like they’re going to damage the suppressor long-term by rapidly heating them up and keeping them hot longer
I use a silicone wrap that works so much better than any cloth cover.
it also turns your suppressor into a buttplug 😃👍
Whats the name?
@@roberthutchinson2856 probably Bowers Group Griptastic
@@roberthutchinson2856 Weka Tech has some as well that are lower profile. They’re like $24 USD because of how strong the dollar is currently.
Ships from New Zealand though so long lead time
Wrap it before you tap it?
Man the lead content on that meat 😂
Has anyone else experienced shedding of internal material when first pull out of box? it was everywhere, pretty annoying and makes you pretty itchy.
Making an aluminum foil pack with the meat in it and wrapping that around the suppressor is much cleaner.
But far less entertaining
Yeah because there's nothing like 2nd to 3rd degree burns for you or your buddy after you decided to cheap out on a wrap for your can...not to mention cookin' your range bag or burning a fukin' hole in your truck seats hahaha
One things for sure they look fng cool 😎 and thats apart of being tacticool 😅
90% of shooting is lookin cool like i said
Great choice of music with Fire by the Ohio Players 1974 hit.
Check out the Lunar concepts hot pocket, gentleman.
I’ve wrecked more equipment including clothing NOT having a suppressor cover. the transition from 😊riffle or PCC to pistol can burn the shit out of your calves!!
Just when I thought my day was going mehh. It just got better 🎉❤
And we rejoice
Thanks dude we appreciate the kind words and you watching 👊🏼
Well think about this.... if you have a iron skillet cooking up some delicious food on the stove would you want to use a mit or cotton towel or something to grab it and take it off the stove or would you rather just grab it barehanded and worry about the burns to your hand later?...... now if I ask myself that question? I'm going to have to say that I would much rather use an oven mitt or even a folded up shirt to grab that hot iron...I'm telling you... I have burned my hand from picking up hot metal from a fire pit I thought was good to go..... that hurt for a while.
I have oven mitts in my kit so I can c-clamp the can when it gets hot
I just use an oven mitt. Problem solved from the dollar store. And talk about looks cool.
Wrap your suppressors, gentleman. The ladies will appreciate it.
Many of them will even insist

so forbidden

There is a ModTac suppressor cover that is a free float carbon fiber design.
That melts and delaminates at 500 degrees so not really interested in something we would have to replace often. You will never melt this wrap 🤷🏻♂️
For the love of youtube. Don't film wIth the SUN in the Frame!! (Please. 😁)
Really, had to scroll you out of the frame for those shots.
Thank you for the info on the wraps, Just received my first suppressor and looking for proper/needed accessories. Seems like burning myself during a transition during training would make for a bad time.
Good salesman.
Had to wait 30 mins for my trash panda to be cool enough to put in bag..only 100 rds and scorched earth lol
Tactical oven mitt.
Nailed it 😂😂😂
What coating is best to cook carne asada? Cerakot e? TiNi? Parkerized? Should I spray with wd40 or clr for oil?
TiN for sure
I’m thinking TiN
I’ve been looking for a wrap but wasn’t sure if I was getting a good one or not good stuff guys. I’m curious of your thoughts on Armageddon gears wraps? My buddy has one and seems to like it
Haven’t used them
Mmmmmmmmm.... Carbon caked cancer wrapped meat, my favorite!
5:09 diletants! Put some seed oil on the supressor before cooking.
😂😂😂😂
I’m Sally Struthers. Everyday suppressors go without wraps put on them. If you make a small donation today we’ll give a needy suppressor the wrap it needs. In return we’ll send you a free Taiko sports watch.
Still absolutely love my black BPG wrap on my cgs helios dt🤘🏻
Bringing a whole new meaning to suppressor wrap lol
I don’t own a suppressor without a wrap or cover. Next i want to try the liberty defense but that’s an expensive price tag.
they are pricey i promise you'll like it more and it will last longer
Stayed for the info, liked and subbed for the dog
My can is recessed down into the handguard and I have no room for a wrap
Lost me at CCW insurance lol!
lol thought about getting this till I saw that it costs as much as a pistol suppressor and 50% more than the tax stamp. Fuck out of here.
Don't use wraps for guns that you shoot over long strings of fire. Use them on precision guns that you shoot slower. You'll end up burning your wrap no matter how high it's tolerance is if you shoot too fast/much. Get a pouch to hold your suppressor in when you're done shooting instead for those ones. I highly recommend Cole-Tac
False. This wrap has withstood many strings of fire over the last 6 months as well as in this video. This wrap is complete different than any other wrap on the market. Other wraps for sure will melt the whole point of this video is to show you that this one won’t.
@Chris Blau not true most suppressor wrap are rated for 90 rounds every 5 minutes. People burn out suppressor cover like Cole tac all the time, it's not always the cover that gets burn, a lot of time it's the assembly.
@@ericc2530 dude. The whole point of this video is how DIFFERENT this wrap is than others. It’s very clear this wrap is in a league of its own.
@@Chrisblau This dude gets it. Cole-tac is for the poors.
@@Chrisblau oh I didn't know you were talking about this wrap. But considering the best heat resistant coating is around 1800°. If you run it non-stop and it gets up to 2000°, even if you don't ruin your wrap, it'd still ruin your can. Now is that really better?
Mmmmmmm….. a little salt, a little pepper and a shit ton of led. Just how I like em

If it’ll handle a suppressed SAW I think us normies will be just fine.

@@tylerb556 hahahah thats awesome trust me im 12 years old as well
Is there a supreser for prs. I know heat shimmer is something they have to deal with. I'm also assuming the wrap would help with that. But it made me wonder if someone has designed a can to dump heat even if it's heavy because it's for bench shooter's
🔥
Appreciate you sir 👊🏼
might be ok for operators.. but range guys and hunters its not required.
Fire another 4 mags through that suppressor, and the meat should be charred enough to flake off.
Modern problems require modern solutions
ModTac seems like the best option imo
How did you come to that conclusion?
@@nicholaswacker2026 without having used one, I’ll stress the “seems like” part but it doesn’t make contact with the suppressor and still allows heat to vent . I would like to see a thermal comparison but I’d think it wouldn’t get hot as quickly but idk. The vent holes underneath may compromise its thermal signature. You do give up a little rail space but there’s a version with an integral flip up front sight if you feel the need for one.
The USA is so bad ass we cook breakfast and kill bad guys at the same fuckin time😂😂😂😂😂
