It would be really cool to see that, and I don't believe there are any sparrows with overdrive in Destiny 2
2 years ago in a interview to one of the designers on Bungie he explained how there was no plans of making any exotic sparrow with unique feactures anymore like the one from SOTP, that sparrow alone made their lifes more complicated since it create a lot of bugs each new season and break many of the mechanics that might involve using vehicules.
Maybe that's the reason behind why they cut many feactures from Sparrows in D2 and races were no longer an option.

You don't have to use OverDrive until it's self-destructs. I just used it for an extra boost of speed every once in awhile

Something about a Latin line translating into the fate of all fools and I think it was like he ended up getting an earlier version of it. It was just jade rabbit but the fun itself looked identical to no time to explain so a 13 round scout but in a pulse rifle frame

Vault sparrow was insane in SRL. It was cool cause it felt like no one knew to use overdrive at the very end to win. Got some cool videos of me doing that haha so fun

Overdrive was such a great thing on those sparrows. I used these sparrows in sparrow racing and learned to utilize the speed boosts without fear of blowing myself up… until the end of the race where I would full send it with the help of a boost pad, launch uncontrollably into the air and either face plant on the finish line goal post, the wall or get through the finish line before blowing up and stealing first place lol

oddly enough, those races induced more rage and try-hardness out of my friends than trials ever did

Ah, I remember when I got the VoG sparrow and I started racing against randoms in the cosmodrome against much faster sparrows I felt like I was running the damn race of my life watching my vehicle fall apart trying to catch up with those unstoppable sparrows, and it felt damn epic. Now it's just an old memory

Through some spaghetti code, the code gave you the sparrow via the special vender.
The removal of the special vender means no sparrow. And the code was already redeemed so cant be given another.
Everyone else on my console would get the sparrow and thus would be in the sparrow kiosk now post TTK. Smh.

Fun fact new players. We only had 1 exotic emblem in destiny 1 as well, and it was ONLY achievable by going flawless in the first year that trials was released. So you could only get the emblem in 2014-2015. If ya didn't get flawless when trials just came out, you'd never get it. It was also a sick emblem
Fun extra fact, everyone is getting hype about D2 exotic class items, when D1 had them already. And artifacts could be earned and swapped from single cool perks.And we had real Raze Lighter, Storm Chaser, and Soul Drinker
