Gacharic Spin creates some of the best music in the world and should have a fanbase in the millions everywhere.

F Choppin' Brilliant! Massive performance energy, especially when everyone is singing at the same time, in three different melodic /harmonic lines. They are all so impressive, but maybe most all Yuri -- those earthrumbling drum punctuations!

Wow - after hearing this song 100 times and finally getting the English subtitles, It really becomes an even more powerful song. Angie just killed it on this one - so much emotion - loved it!!

Thank you for providing an excellent translation of my favorite GACHAPIN song’s powerful lyrics. I vaguely understood part of them before, and I appreciate how hard it is to convert them to English phrases that are accurate, sound natural, AND fit the flow of the song. Just beautiful. It would be great to include them in the MV, too.

"Worthless" refers to what other people called Angie, not what she felt like. Her extremely personal lyrics refer to the COVID lockdown period when social media became a cesspool of clashing opinions and blame casting that greatly upset her and made her doubt what kind of world she'd have to grow up in (she was finishing high school at the time), plus her optimistic determination to make it a better place. In an interview she said the lyric about "tears" referred to her obsession with taking notes after each online session so she'd remember her thoughts and feelings before her tears dried up, and the band's chaotic vocals and musical arrangement tried to recreate the swirling madness that surrounded her.
Great song & great lyrics. Really starting to love this band. Like the maids, they mix very impressive musicianship with an uplifting sound and message.

I wish you’d add English subtitles for everything you wonderful ladies upload but I know that’s a tedious job. I’d do it tho in a heartbeat to work for the greatest band in the world
I've said it before - when Angie and yuri first joined the band, I wasn't convinced of what I saw. But now I realise it was a genius move, and it works so well. But nobody has replaced Oreo as my favourite 🙂
It's a shame the mix on this isn't quite right. The keyboards and Tomo-zo's guitar are far too quiet.
I think yuri proved herself early, both as a competent musician and as a crowd pleasing performer. Angie was a different story, though. She was just !!**TOO MUCH**!! and her vocals weren't good enough to match her performance. It's taken far longer than I expected, but she's finally matured into an exceptional singer who still has a lot of room for improvement. Oreo's my favorite, too. The band has so many incredibly talented musicians, but she's the glue that magically fits all the parts together so seamlessly. She doesn't get anywhere near the credit she deserves.
@@LesDexia13 Yeah, I agree with the Angie thing. When I saw the first performance with Angie (a live outdoor gig), I felt it was total chaos. Also, the entire band were wearing terribly-clashing outfits, so the overall impression was of a band that had kind of lost its way a bit as they transitioned. I've never had any issues with Angie and yuri's ability, to be clear.
However ... as we now all know, in the long term it was a brilliant move, and I really hope Angie doesn't disappear any time soon. She's become the focal point of this band's best new songs now.

That moment when Angie was up to the big screen, arms spread wide... That's such a pure rock star moment... I mean the whole video is fantastic, but that moment, it takes a special person to pull that off.
KOGA said she couldn't really explain why she asked Angie to audition for the band after she saw her perform at a school function. Even as a barely 17 year old Angie had the "it" factor that makes stars different from everybody else.
@@LesDexia13 that's always the part that really fascinated me.. Not just Angie having that IT factor, but Koga not only being able to recognize it, but also for the band, a well established one with 8 years and a decent discography behind them, to put so much into the hands of such a young women. Talk about game recognizing game.
@@oskisnutz F Chopper Koga is the bands leader and has been making smart decisions for a long time. There are some interesting interviews with her in the Japanese music media. It’s worth having look for them and using Google to translate.

Um . . . anyone else happen to catch Hana 'giving the bird' at 2:32 ( or think that she's doing that)? Fits the lyrics at that point in the song, but I caught it only after many repeated hearings-viewings. Not subtle once you spot it. Separately, few passages affect me (chills, emotion) as strongly and consistently as from 3:04 to 3:51. Though not the best condition for one recovering from surgery, it nevertheless shows just how powerful are this song, performance, and live video. This rendition of 'I wish I' is one for the ages.
Yeah, Hana gave the bird, but it's only clearly visible in a couple frames where you can see her index finger behind the middle finger. Pretty weak, too, so it's not something she does on a regular basis. On the other hand, on SCANDAL's A.M.D.K.J. Haruna Ono does a behind-the-back wind up and throws a straight-as-an arrow bony finger bird, usually straight at the camera. See this live version - ua-cam.com/video/8GOGAUiOJQI/v-deo.html - It happens at a lyric that references "B-class critics" which was dedicated to a "journalist" who was whining about women in rock bands, and drummer Rina did not take kindly to the smear so she added the lyric to this song.

I'm with you on this song, and this performance in particular. Very powerful both musically and lyrically and it affects me emotionally. Hope you've recovered well from your surgery.
I think that "giving the bird" is more of a taboo in the US than it is in many other cultures. I remember being very surprised by how controversial it was when a British rapper raised her middle finger during a Super Bowl half-time show. I'm sure she was also surprised by how seriously people took it. Not sure how the Japanese view it, except that somewhere on UA-cam there's a fancam with Kanami Tono (of all people) doing it towards the crowd in the middle of a guitar solo, and it was very funny - she was obviously just having fun.
@@kicorse Thanks -- recovered to about 95%, which in this case is very good. @LesDexia13 shared a clip of a live Scandal performance where this gesture was made clear as day, accompanying lyrics that reference snide remarks from record industry suits about women in rock. I allow that this or any other gesture means different things in different cultures, and not all musicians have the same investment in current-day issues. I won't make more of this than necessary; I simply allow for the possibility of there being additional messages in the music beyond the obvious or even beyond what the musicians themselves want to say or perhaps feel comfortable saying.
