Just got waitlisted ! I really like Colby and I'm watching your videos to see if there's anything I can add to my LOCI that adds a personal amd unqiue colby touch. I hope I get off the waitlist , this place is dreamy !
Great video. I just get accepted to Colby and I'm considering attending. I wonder how good the CS major is? Are there anyone that I can chat about the school and CS?
Hi Izza, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not exactly sure about the waitlist, but I think that it wouldn't hurt to write to an admissions officer to demonstrate interest. I truly wish you the best in the application process and hope to see you on campus next year!
Hello Silas Gramaglia, here are some off-top questions from me: does Colby have any filmmaking clubs? Are there any activities or events that are going on? Is there any filmmaking project that an international high school student could participate in? Thank you for your time!
Hey dude nice surfing,I'm actually an international student applying to this college I have a unweighted gpa of 3.95 is it good? I just wanted to ask how many Indians are there in campus lol?
Hey Lohit! Thanks so much! Glad that you're interested in Colby!! I'm assuming you are talking about GPA on a 4.0 scale... 3.95 is great! I'm not entirely sure how many Indians there are at Colby, but you can find out some information on demographics here: www.collegefactual.com/colleges/colby-college/student-life/diversity/ Best of luck with the application process! -Silas
great video! i’m currently in the process of applying to Colby. is there any advice you could give? i know it’s a super competitive school to get into, how much do test scores matter?
Hey! Sorry for the late response! Stoked that you're applying to Colby, I love it up there! I would recommend really focusing on your essay. Since Colby is test optional and doesn't have any supplements, I think the essay, extracurriculars, and high school records are the focus. If you have an art portfolio, definitely include it! In your application, try to show your strengths and how you will contribute to the Colby community. Since Colby is test optional, don't feel like you need to submit your ACT or SAT. They don't mark you down for not including standardized test scores. So, I'd say if they're great and help out your application, then include them for sure! But, if they don't seem to strengthen your application, you don't need to submit them. Personally, I know I submitted a few SAT subject tests and don't really remember if I submitted my standard SAT. I would also really suggest reaching out to an admissions officer. This is a great way to show your interest and can only help you out! Ideally, they will take note of your name and remember you when reading through your application! I think the application is likely due pretty soon, but I reckon you could send the email after the application deadline to introduce yourself and show further interest! Best of luck with the application process and hope to see ya around campus! Cheers
Hey Rita! Looks like that's kinda just the way the video turned out... The Colby campus actually has slightly more girls than guys, so you definitely won't be alone! (I think 52% girls to 48% guys) Cheers!
