While I do agree that Lone isn’t super versatile when it comes to vocals I personally think there’s enough variety in the instrumentals in the instrumentals to make up for it. Additionally, this album sounds nothing like Carti, neither does most of Lones music. Closest Carti has ever got to this was like 4 of the songs of wlr. I respect melon as a critic because while I don’t agree with a lot of his takes he always has some validity to his criticisms but when it comes to opium and this type of rap music in general he just seems to turn into the old man screaming at clouds. He throws the Carti clone label at every new rage/trap artist that he finds.

I dont usually comment on his reviews, personally I didnt enjoy lone for a long time, this album changed that, the atmosphere, beat selection, even the lyrics and cover of this album made this a really fun and enjoyable listen, it surprised me and I honestly think this has to be his best album and a strong 6 at least. Hope fantano will have e new view on this more simple but vibey trap/rage music!!!
