I had one of these when I was 19. I really loved the look of the car. I knew it was the 350 Diesel when I bought it second hand. Unfortunately, it leaked oil and even buying a new short block didn’t stop it. This design still makes an impression. The wood dash is the best. When the dashes went to brushed aluminum it wasn’t as nice.
Owned 3 Chevy Caprices when I was younger, one coupe and two four-doors. The doors underneath would rot bad due to water retention in the door / failure to clear out the drainage. They are amazing cars and I wish I could get a coupe someday again but they've apparently skyrocketed in asking price.
I have a set of NOS correct wipers for that car. Nice shape, have a 1978 Caprice Classic 2door myself with 27k original miles, the 77-87 2door cars are amazing 👍
@@joshi6684 if you have an email I can send you pictures, I have owned it since 2014 I am the 3rd owner. I love to keep it, but have thoughts about selling to be honest because garages are expensive here in NY.
@@anthonyg9389 thanks man you had a great color combo. The landau with the sport mirrors look better i'm checking out one with your same old intererior but burgandy on the exterior. It has the one chrome mirror on the drivers side but i know i can change it out. I'm thinking a 2dr is a 2dr they are so rare.
@@anthonyg9389 Can you find a 86 or 87 Caprice Landau Coupe? My 87 was in a bad wreck that I had for 20yrs. I’m looking for another Caprice Landau Coupe
I have a 1976 Caprice hardtop sedan with 2,300 MI I didn't know I couldn't drive it, that I'd end up saving it to trade for a house. So I bought low mileage Cadillacs and started driving those. The Man Who Sold the Chevy Caprice to me was crying teenagers college education he had to sell it.
What a Beautiful time capsule, i owned many of these full-sized GM and Ford cars in the past and nothing today compares to these cars. 😊
That’s right!

Had a light brown landau version just like this, had the F41 suspension plus GR70-15 whitewalls. Phenomenal road car. Still think about it
Great video. Beautiful car

It's because people putting 28" rims on them so demand is at an all time high. My favorite is a red 1987 2 door box Chevy with 28s on it.

I love these cars, but they are slow as hell.
These types of cars are not meant for speed more like leisurely cruising .
