My father requested this played at his funeral. Every time I hear it I think of him. I know he loved his music. And he passed away in 1987.

He is true country. Thank God radio still plays his music. This is my all time favorite Gene song. I have loved hi. Since 1975. I was 17 when I started listening to country music. I thank Jack Greene and statue of a fool for that. I am 73 and miss hearing all those great classics
Gene Watson is a great singer and deserves to be in The Country Music Hall of Fame. Give him this honor while he is alive so that he can enjoy it.
My brother Charles passed away Feb 1, 1919, He loved country music and this was his favorite song.

Gene, in 2000, had colon Cander. And he fought it and won that awesome battle. He also was a heavy drinker and smoker years ago, and he left all that behind. He's a wonderful guy as well as a singer...
What else can be said about this song and the man who sings it....not much...just listen and enjoy.
