Sure is I know people say that these test are pointless But if a Gold ring is fresh dropped it would be no difference then a ring that we just buried.. Thanks Brother You are truly a Legend.. Happy Hunting. Peace
I throw my gold chain on the ground yesterday. The Nox 800 with stock coil wouldn't pick it up and it was bunched up on the surface. I had to put it in prospector mode then it rang up a one.
A chain is kind of expected not to be picked up on many detectors. The 700 does not have prospect mode. But on a fully attached rings they should sound off Nicely. The 600 did not struggle much with the 6 inch coil on it.
Wow! great test. Really makes me wonder how many rings I have miised. I got the equinox600 w/ 11" coil. Now I'm considering getting a 6" coil. I bought the 600 specifically for beach hunting. Ouch! Thanks for a very informative vid
The 600 did not struggle it was the 700 with the Stock coil that made it so I would go back to the 600. Makes me wonder how many rings I might have missed with the 700 now .. Happy Hunting.. Peace
It's because the 700 runs on coin frequencies 4 5 10 15 .... it's not ideal for gold jewery.. The 600 has that extra frequencies for gold .. The 900 much better for jewery gold rings... I strictly use my 700 for coin shooting old silver coins
That is good To know. I use the Vanquish 540 when I am out looking for a lost gold ring or silver or pretty much any kind of metal ring. As I know it better then the 700 and 600. I will learn the 700 the more I use it and the more I dig... Thanks for the Info.. Happy Hunting. Peace
Thanks Man. I will give it ago. As I have watched this video a few times over trying to figure out what I might have did wrong. that did cross my mind. Even though I noise canceled Both.. Thanks For the tip .. Peace
Maybe you are right there. But As for now I know the 600 and the Vanquish 540 will get me through the rest of this season. Maybe next yr. I am not sure if I want to upgrade to another detector as is. To Disappointed in the 700 and also I was with the Xterra Pro.. Thanks for watching.. Peace
sounds like the target is co-mingled with a piece of iron which why it would explain the 6" coil is picking it up over the stock 11 coil! beach 1 sensitivity of around 22 ground balence around zero should easily pick up the rings! got a mega platinum last night in NH using the manticore in beach sensitive mode only had the sensitivity at 19 and stock 11 inch coil on it! GL&HH
I checked this spot before I went on to making the video. Even still if iron was involved that would still mean I would possible skipped over the target. But I did scan this spot before starting the test. Congrats on the Platinum Ring... Happy Hunting. Peace
This was dry sand and I ran it in Beach 1 ground Balanced it I mean it hit but didn't hit. not sure myself what is going on. But I was surprised the 6inch on the 600 hit them pretty good.
@@MetalDetectingwithCZkidd He was scrubbing the Sand Flat with the 6 inch Coil and the other Coil never left a Mark on the Sand and the bigger Coil Was tested first and the video shows that... and I will have a Equinox 600 in my Hands tomorrow afternoon..... and the SIMPLEX + is going away to a New Home 👍👍👍👍👍...
I may be a little ignorant about some of the new detectors, but I fail to understand why they made the 700. It’s just hard to beat the original Equinox machines.
No I think You are on Point on that one. The only one that would be the best out of the 4 Newer Detector but it is higher Priced for sure is the Manticore. I Guess I will have to redo some of this test and tweak with the settings. But I know with the 600 I just turn on and go put it in what mode I want to use. and change the tones if I feel up to it. Thanks For watching. Peace
Ok I might go back to the beach and use three of the rings. thin mid and the biggest one. I know that the swing speed factory settings was on 2 for the 700 and the 600 was 3. Thanks for the tip.. Peace
You are welcome .. I am going to redo this test but with a couple rings so it is not so long. As one person commented the 600 being in close proximity and being on might have gave a silent emi interruption on target. Even though i noise canceled both of them. So Back to the drawing board.. Thanks for watching.. Peace
I know considering I can hit a Quarter at a foot deep and a nickel in the wet flats but on a 6 inch down barely hits on it.. I can not understand that one. Thanks for watching.. Peace
Danny, I noticed your reactivity was set to 3. You’re losing all your depth on that setting. That setting is for iron sites. I just posted a video of my 700 hitting a 12 inch gold ring with zero issue. Reactivity of 1. Hope this helps friend. Don’t give up on the 700, she’s a BEAUT!
Thanks for the info. I normally dig in parks trashy spots and such. 3 is great just for not iron infested sites. Never gave me a problem. I did do a test on the beach with gold rings it did much better. I also hit a nickel a good foot down on the beach. If i remember right Beach 1 factory settings is 2recovery. I might be wrong. But next time I am on the beach I will lower it to 1 as the beach is less trashy then A Park/sports fields.. Peace
And I don't have the equinox yet but from using the X-Terra Pro and what is the iron bias at on the 700 and also on the 600 but each detector is of different programs but yes it's the same Exact name Equinox but the difference between the two is the programing....
700 Iron Bias Fe3 recovery speed 3/ 600 Iron Bias set at 2 recovery Speed 3. These are the factory settings. for this perimeter So this means I am going to hit the sand again with a couple of the rings and change these settings on the 700 and find out what will work the best. 2 not going to use the 600 and have it on within the area I am doing the test in. If these tweaking the setting makes it so the target stands out better then That is great... Thank You. Have a great night .. Peace
@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin Sounds good But I haven't a clue yet on the Equinox Program's like I have watched with the X-Terra Pro but Sometime Today I will have the 600 and I will have a Better ideas of how it works and what update is on it and WHY Not do whatever you think is best for the detector and not just go with the Supposed Factory Settings ???? that isn't working right, but I will have a Better ideas on what is wrong once I can get my hands on the Equinox 600 and decipher the difference between the two Equinox Program's and 👍🤞👍..... but the X-Terra Pro is Batting 1000%...... and I still think it was the Dry Ground that was the Main Problem with it for you and even if you have the X-Terra Pro on 1 ground balance is something that it can work with but One of my Permissions is a 68 on the ground balance and so far I just left it there and hadn't re-ground it yet.... 🤔.. and Also Any Day on the Beach is a Great Day and I hope to one day get back to the Beaches but I was only able to go for about an hour and No metal detector and the person that took me there was just showing me what the ocean looks like... and that's is some easy digging but hard to walk on.....

I know it is. I got to get back and redo a couple rings just for a faster shorter video on this one. Just got to find the time. but as of right now yeah pretty crazy it is. Thanks Maria for watching a few videos so far.
Beach 1 from what I understand Beach 2 is used for when the Coil is in the water. The recovery speed on the 700 was 2 and the 600 was 3 those are factory settings. Thanks for watching.. Peace
Glad you got out to play in the sandbox.
And now I know to just use the 600 or the 540 when I head to the beach again.. Thanks for watching Brother.. Peace

not sure what's going on there Danny, i can tell you my buddy Brad smacks gold with his. are you in wet sand or dry sand.

I don't like that he has both machines on and close by to each other. May had some silent EMI going on there. Conflict of coils.

They made the 700/900 to fix the issues from the 600/800. (Waterproofing and a few others) They released Manticore first for less butt hurt spenders.
Try to play with recovery speed as well. I saw other tests where a lower recover speed suddenly makes the detector hits on the target.

I thought so too Brother. As the 600 small coil picked them off pretty good considering the Depth was average for many detectors.
