Liked video. I love small stream fishing. I used to watch my shadow and fish opposite it. I also use to only wade up stream. Why don't more people fish under bridges? I used to do pretty well on those.
Thanks,. That;s so very useful. Very subtle and elegant fishing Ilm new to it all and this gives me some confidences and highlights some of my bad moves! :-)
The regulations vary on Bear Creek. See the Colorado Fishing Brochure for details regarding bag and possession limits. Most anglers who fly fish this area catch and release. Thanks for checking out the video.
UGH THIS was great! thank you. Im new to fly fishing. just moved to vermont and live right on a river... it starts as a rocky pool illed mountain stream then runs into a long windy river with big bends with big pools lots of tight parts where water is fast.... Im unsure where to fish on those parts. But atleast now I know those big wide open pools will hold fish. Ive just been hitting pocket water at the moment. any advice helps !
you need ultra light spinning rod in small streams. one cast right where you need it whether using flies of small spinners. Can even cast a worm and do mush better.
Tim Gile I'd like to see that. I fly fish bear creek all the time. I see people conventional fishing and never catch as many fish as me. 20 fish is my average. What I do see is that these guys with spinning rods not catching as much, but when they do they handle these wild trout all wrong. Sad. It's usually typical of conventional style fishing... no regard for wildlife.
One of the best UA-cam videos on how to pick water to fish. Very well explained.

Great illustration of pocket water at 8:10. easy to understand and to see where to find fish.
This was excellent. Thank you.
