  • This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Richard has made a living being driven by his curiosity. In this fantastic talk he explores the 4 great mysteries of life: Who am I, really? Who are our parents? What happened before I was born? and What happens when we die?
Richard is radio presenter, comedian and former television producer best known for his hour-long interview program,Conversations with Richard Fidler and his years with the Doug Anthony Allstars. Richard is a firm believer in maintaining our inner four year old.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

No criticism meant, but ABC Listen brings me Conversations and I ALWAYS go to sleep easily when listening. I finish it when I wake up the next morning. It's a brilliant program from a DAAS.

I love listening to Conversations, it gives me the opportunity to listen to people from all walks of life's story.
Richards pure interest when he interviews people is amazing, I wish I had the skills to talk to anyone and get to know their own story.

Would always have Richard on my list of people (living or dead) you get to invite for a dinner party.

Used to have a bit of a crush on him back in the DAAS days (I was 15/16!) Never knew he was such an intelligent, interesting guy.

He doesn't look how he sounds on Conversations at all. Always pictured him in my head as some old middle-class, middle-aged man. Interesting.
