Thank you both for sharing your trip to Leeds. The architecture is stunning. Love the colours of the yarns you bought. They’re so bright an cheerful. ❤
What an awesome podcast. Take care of yourself. I love Miss Fisher too! Love the top you made! Everything is beautiful. 😍
Wow! There are a lot of Miss Fisher fans here, I am discovering.
I have no idea who Miss Fisher is. But your outfit is so YOU!
Lots of fun projects! Especially the baby pants!
And you've inspired me to cast on charity hat #4. Thanks!
Wow, so many beautiful projects! I love the green-it’s a really cute pop on the foot. I think it makes the sock fun 😊. Your baby knits are amazing ❤
Love your duster cover up! Not sure who Miss Fisher is, but it reminded me of some of the outfits Lucille Ball wore in I love Lucy. I've used the Ice Cream yarn for baby blankets - very cute. For some other small children wear, I enjoy and have knit several patterns from Lisa Chernery aka Frogginette. Very timeless knits. Take Care !
It’s so nice to see your podcast and that you are feeling much better. Such a lovely wedding. The hats are adorable in that yarn and in your pattern. I plan on knitting one for my granddaughter it’s just the cutest. Im glad you figured out the baby pants such a cute knit too and in that yarn color.
Thank you for sharing your daughters wedding day photo's, she looked beautiful. I feel tired just listening to all you do. You can relax now and enjoy knitting the baby clothes and getting out into the garden. I'm in Autumn now and all we are havIng is rain and more rain. 😊
So you are now getting ready for a season of cooler weather and rest from gardening. I love how we can still enjoy the creative process at any season of the year.
I loved spending time with you while I cross stitched! Thank you for sharing! Your daughter's wedding dress was gorgeous! I loved the whole color theme of the wedding. Very glamorous. I am so glad your heath is improving. I am excited by your upcoming yarn advent. I hope I can secure one for me! Take care. Happy spring. Hugs, Valerie
Thank you Valerie. I used to do quite a bit of cross stitch, but realized it took time away from all the other crafts I really wanted to be doing. I have so many fun and beautiful patterns though. Thanks for the reminder. I need to get some of them made.
You have been busy! Thank you for sharing with out rushing through the projects. I like hearing the details.
That's great feedback! I sometimes worry that I'm taking too long so I skip a lot so as not to bore everyone watching.
I love Miss Fischer also. I just cut out a blouse . First time in years. You are very inspiring.
Oh, really?! That is great to hear! What type of blouse?
Miss Fisher i love your peacock coverette so neat. A tip for your draw string i made a cowl this winter and it called for the icord tie. When you run the cord thru the eyelet take the right string and bring it out the left hole and the left string brought out thru the right hole. The cord is crossed over on the inside and the string tie much better and doesnt have a easy chance of being pulled out. Tie a big knot in the end so it wont pass thru the hole the the crossing of the holes is the trick. Give it a try an see what you think we like it for our draw string woes. Good luck and congratulations.
Thanks for the tip!
That is a perfect Miss Fisher outfit!! She is such a great free-spirited character, and you are a great sewist. *gentle nudge toward altering the neckline so you will be happier with the top*😊 It truly suits you.
Thanks for a lovely video. I always come away with so many plans. 😂
Thank you Serenity for your comment. I had contemplated adjusting the neckline, but decided to wear it "as-is". But I have learned from that project, which is valuable to me in and of itself.
Such a good show.
Thank you! I feel lucky to be able to share my creations and interact with you here.
What a pretty shirt and that sweater is so great!
Thank you! I feel very feminine wearing them.
Hi Deborah ! English Lab Puppy !!!!!!!! What Spare time ????/ !!!! Catching up on this and your prior podcast..... Finally ! Really enjoy your visits - just terrific ! Congratulations on the wedding - thank you for sharing the Wonderful images indeed !!! And thank you for even podcasting given this trying time for you. Hoping you find the relief and resolve you are in desperate need of. All the very best, marcia
Thank you Marcia. I do enjoy having the ability to share these videos with all of you, even when time gets a bit constrained.
I LOVE the arconia sweater and the texture created by holding the slubby yarn with some mohair. I have a few different skeins of slubby yarn and I think I must try this with it. I had no idea Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries was popular outside Australia. Her outfits are always amazing though.
I don't know how popular it is here, but I love it! I watch each season multiple times each year. I was so looking forward to the movie, but sadly, it was a flop. The series didn't translate well into a full movie.
To tighten up the purl in ribbing or a purl after a knit is to wrap the yarn clockwise around the needle instead of counter. You are mounting the legs different creating a twisted purl. It sure does neaten up a ribbing. Give it a try
Thanks for the tip. That is one I did not encounter in my research.
I think I might try shades of purple rather than green. Every time I try yellow and green together I get that weird crayon feeling you describe. Purple being the blend of the pinks and blues might be less jarring and blend well with the rest of the sock.
See, you agree about the crayon effect! I completely agree about purple, but since I already did purple for the heels, which I loved, I didn’t want to repeat that one again. I should have swapped the heel color with the foot colors. Still crayon-esque, but a bit better.
