Omg I was watching your original review just a couple of days ago.
I wish it was Peri and not Tegan, but Tegan and 6 have an amazing rapport that I wish we got more of!
The revised version on blu-ray shores things up nicely with the edits and feels more like a story.
Exactly on both counts. Six and tegan are fun together
I have the original from the Two Doctors dvd set. I made sure I ripped that just in case something happened to my dvd. I got it stored with my copy of Song of the South which Disney has banned.
I’m thinking that Gareth is older than both of us. I was five when that was filmed. lol
@@lanceyarema4013 yeah I was little as well.
I have the dvd unedited version too.
Yes, yes, yes - but is it CANON? ;)
As for - ahem! - the elephant in the room, it's a tough one. This particular person also hosted a long-running, extremely popular music show over here. Digital channel BBC Four practically tie themselves in knots trying to edit him out of repeats. Because of his ubiquity, there's great swathes of that series that can never be shown now. Given how awful the crimes were, it's entirely understandable British broadcasters should wish to show some sensitivity. On the other hand, though, this guy existed whether we like it or not - and a lot of other people's hard work is tied up in these things, too. No easy answers, sadly.
@@richardenglish2195 sounds like a very undesirable position to be in having to deal with that.
@@AnotherScifiGuy Right. And with the BBC being complicit in his crimes, they're taking extra care to try to remove him from history. They just want the whole thing to go away and be quietly forgotten.
I think I saw it on UA-cam but I love it and your right they need to do one for new who. With Gareth as a grown up. I enjoyed it and I'm going to get the 2 doctors on DVD so I can watch it again
@@naomipenelopemccarthy9737 well the full version is a hard watch as it has “him” in it. But the edited version on the boxset is good.
@@AnotherScifiGuy cool 😎
@@AnotherScifiGuy I also only found out about it a few years ago
While yes I absolutely agree that "Fear Her" is the worst episode of Dr. Who and what the man has done is a very serious crime and should be punished for it however that being said as an artist I'm very highly against deletion of history or editing things I personally think the BBC should had just leave the episode as it is I think it was a cowardly decision of the BBC to just pull out an entire episode considering it's only that man's voice and for a few seconds people won't know who he is anyway the sensitivity and the deletion where does it stop? What they could of done instead of re-dubbing his voice they could just as easily put on a trigger warning at the beginning of the episode rather than tinker with it.
Yes "A Fix with the Sontarans" was an episode of "Jim I'll Fix It" which was a huge show in the UK at that time which was hosted by Jimmy Saville who was one of the most popular british celebrities of that time long before he was revealed to be a convicted paedophile he was also very well known here in Australia as well as the UK as I'm mixed on the editing while yes I completely understand and rightfully so why they edited it out but at the same time it's denying history I think the BBC should just address their mistakes and just learn to never hire them again rather than deleting it.
In answer to your question would we like the 6th Doctor and Tegan to team up together? No not particulary I always found Tegan a very annoying and whiny character and no fault to Colin Baker but he was one of my least favourite Doctor in my opinion of course.
I'd love to see more of six and Tegan together!
Hmmm. I wonder if they'll be removing The Doctor's Wife and Nightmare in Silver now?
@@ancientonezero ah, the Neil gamian controversy?
@@AnotherScifiGuy Yes. It's not looking too good right now.
@@ancientonezero ah… I haven’t heard any new news lately.
@@AnotherScifiGuy No, it's gone quiet for the moment, but with what was it, fourteen or fifteen women at the minimum involved, I dare say there's more to come.
@@ancientonezero wow, didn’t realize it was that bad.
