    Thumbs up. I did something similar but more elaborate to a poor flashing install in an extension to my home with a tile roof, which originally had issues with leaks, flashing over stucco instead of under, bad install. I actually carved the stucco and stuck the flashing under it and re stucco and seal coated, never had leak problem again.
    The story of my life is having hard time trusting people, even professional companies that do not have well trained employees.
    The quality of work is not only on the planning and prep but also in the final details and not many companies pay attention to details, or [premeditate the proper steps in the work requires. I am a perfectionist and I like things done right the first time, reason I work best on my own and I end up doing most of the work myself, wherever I can. If I was a contractor, I would be very good and successful at it, but that is not the line of work I enjoy, however, it is good to understand the mechanics of things, especially when you own a home and are a DIYer.

      @@FlatRoofDoctor I often saw that when people replaced their old widows with double pane windows, they installed trim (2 inch wide) around the new windows. Did they do so to prevent leaking?

    Turbo is nothing more than liquid caulk. Snap a chalk line above the damaged area and use a 4" diamond grinder to cut a 1" slot in the wall. Use preformed metal flashing with a reglet edge and install caulk in the joint. Install the metal in the joint. Use Zamac mushroom head anchors to hold metal in place then top caulk the joint and smooth it out with caulk knife.

    Thanks for another informative video. Not sure Turbo Polyseal is available in UK but there may be something similar. One bit of feedback for your safety, please wear your safety glasses when chipping with a hammer!

    Would you use the same method to repair where a stucco wall meets an uncovered balcony floor?

    Great video. So, is the metal flash screwed right on top of the cement? Would you then place stucco on top of the liquid products you just applied to the cement?

    What brand of silver coat protection did you use

    • @FlatRoofDoctor
      @FlatRoofDoctor  2 роки тому

      Any brand is fine, normally I would get it with the kit at Bergstromm.com but you can buy it at Home Depot. Karnak is the best brand
