Got my GT100 about 2 years ago after I thought my GT8 was defective with my Mesa Mark V35 combo.. it was the amp... AND I now use the GT100 as the preamp and sometimes into the board at gigs.... this thing is a BEAST! Haven't gotten into detail like these tones here but I LOVED this video. I want to explore all these tones! 😅 All I use is the Boogie Lead channel and Natural clean. God this sounded sooooo GOOOOOOOD!
I like this guy. Demos stuff playing bits of songs we all know rather than twatting about playing a million notes a minute or the 'sensitive' jazz-fusion bit. Rather watch/listen to this than any of the demos.....
Dear Joshua, great playing and wonderful patches you created - all is amazing. For all of us here - can you please share at least some of your patches ? PLEASE !!!!!!
Hey Joshua baby...man you're the absolute best guitarist and seem quite humble too!! Anyway, where you living now? Little brother, you're an true inspiration to musician everywhere, my friend.
Only if you are playing through an amp, though. If you are to PA or into your computer or monitors then phone/output opens up custom amp and cabinet speaker configuration. Its not complicated on its face, just more complicated than I want to get into so I don't mess with it much.
Esse video vendeu milhares de pedaleiras ao redor do mundo Eu fui um.. comprei a GT 100 depois de assistir este video...curto as POD tb mas Boss é Boss... durabilidade incomparável.
Best demo I have seen for this unit. This is what I wanted to hear. No talking, just the sounds of a wide variety of songs and the tones that go with them. I see you are using the Roland Virtual Start which is a big part of the tone. Unfortunately I am a lefty and as far as I know they are not available in left hand. But two thumbs up anyway.
Guys, the patches are still downloadable thanks to the courtesy of Roland Corporation Australia at their website, look for it via google. Thanks to them and to Joshua Munday for this precious gift !!
I don't get it when some of these complain about this guy's tone. It's a demo. Great I think he got his point across. I just bought mine used for $ 250 bucks. It the best money I ever spent I been using a Boss ME 50 for years now I figured it was time to move up in the world. I made a Excellent choice. It took me two week to start creating my own patches. Here is a word of advice look on u tube you can get free instructionol videos free step by step. Peace and thanks for a cool demo video
hey, sorry I just saw this question. All the sounds are only from the GT100, nothing else was used. When you use the downloaded patched please make sure you have selected LINE/PHONES for your OUTPUT SELECT. If you don't the patches won't sound the same.
This is why I bought the GT-100 to0. I traded in my GT-10 and like the GT-100 so much more and easier to use and does so much more.Easy to make your own sounds.
Does anyone know where the original patches are now? All the links I've tried for these patches seem to take you to a file called "25 Classic Tones" and they are not the same as the ones in this demo video?
Nice work Josh - Really impressed by the authenticity of the tones you got for each number. Don't yet have the GT100 but was considering buying. Looked at the downloads section you mentioned - which specific one has the patches? "GT-100 Classic Tones" or the "GT-100 Patches"? These were all I could find
Hi Josh. A great demo. As someone who plays in a covers/function/wedding band, the gt100 has been great. A couoke of questions. can you tell me if its possible to download the patches used on this demo? also, does Boss have any plans to release a new multi effects floor unit the compete against the Helix LT. Cheers, Alan.
wondering if these song title patches in this vid are stock presets or are programmed in for the demo by Josh? Fantastic tones! Apart from this demo (best along with the Alex Hutchings ones) I've thought the Pod HD500 sounds better in its amp models...sounds more natural and amp like, less fizz and more girth to the tone...but here Josh shows what in the right hands it can do. Awesome stuff!!
Yeh, I've downloaded patches from Gt central and other places. As I say I've had a gt 10 and have had a gt 100 for a couple of months with no real complaints. But anyone who doesn't know, watching this would assume these are out of the box presets which is cheating IMO.
Josh you sound great ,I need your help,I went out and bought the GT100 I downloaded boss tone studio for GT " casting a shadow" patches ,I am not getting the same sound on my gear than what I hear when I listen through the "boss tone studio for GT" those patches imitate the shadows sound from the 60's can you help me finding out what gear they used when they recorded those patches for the boss tone studio for GT .My gear consist of fender strat.american standard ---boss GT100--- Vintage Vox super beatle amp for the 60's ---thanks
I own the lesser model (Boss ME-25) and although I've loved it for years, the other day I played my RG directly through a tube amplifier and realized the analog tone I've been missing out on. I was really considering purchasing this GT-100 model but I'm not sure if I want to stay digital. Apparently the 4 cable method works well with this particular pedal on a tube amp. I'll have to give it a go at my local store but as amazing as this pedal is it still seems to miss the analog warmth in its sound.
now 2019 I still dont know if I would move from gt10 to gt100. Probably I would move to a gt1000, but 100 has lost a lot of prestige, it doesnt represent a major advantage over gt10. Plus it lacks all the controls of the parts through buttons, all is through screen and moving through menus, super uncomfortable. Whereas in my gt10 just a look and I know exactly what's on and what´s off. If you want to check your delay you just press the delay button, if you want to check your preamp just press the preamp button and you are there. All that was lost in GT100. I never had one but just the idea of it represents a step back in the evolution, just to think about it, it makes me feel that pedalboard is extremely difficult to handle . And GT1000 I would definitely buy because of the quality, I checked videos and some things are just amazing like that shimmer reverb, and things like that.
I'm a GT8/GT6 user myself, and I LOVE those buttons too, so I totally get what you are saying! However, by most accounts the GT100 is relatively easy to operate and program. (the dual screens show the effects and parameters when you push the Effect button) Like anything else there is a learning curve, but if you put the time into it (and study the manual) you can get it. I'm looking to get one of these USED myself. (It sounds really good, and unfortunately the GT1000 is WAY out of my price range.)
I dont know about the added equipment on this demo but here the gt 100 sounds are much realistic than those on the pod hd500x, for the money i think this one is a very interesting choice.
Joshua Munday i think this unit is very well balanced, it doesnt sound overprocessed, almost no lag, like a stomp box. sounds are very usable, nice choice!
all of these product demos all sound really good until you take the product home and find that no matter if you plug into, an amp, use the 4 cable or an FRFR they never sound like the demo.. for the most part they connect to some sort of interface either after or before, and that's what most of us hear as a final product. I'd like to see for once have one of these company's make a video on how they make the connections to make these effects procesors sound like they do.
I have the Gr-55 synth and if you go on v forum you can find user patches of various artists to download via usb or Gr-55 library program. Google gt 100 patches. I know there are some things you'll find.. email this guy, he's a co rep, I think he could help you too
Excellent playing and sounds. However how much of the sound is GT100 based and how much is modelled through through the GK pickup via either VG99 or GR55.If neither of these is being used then the GT100 is truly an effects pedal I would seriously think of buying. It will also be interesting to see if the patches used in this demo will if ever be released. Maybe I am being too sceptical but I wait to see if and when they do become available then I will most certainly be buying one of these....
Finally someone who knows how to get a real good tone from a multi-effects. Congratz Joshua! Amazing tones!

Got my GT100 about 2 years ago after I thought my GT8 was defective with my Mesa Mark V35 combo.. it was the amp... That crowd is OUT OF CONTROL!
This guy is killer. I've orderd the GT 100 today, and hope I'll find his patches online for download.
Hi mate, patches will be at www.guitarfxpatches.com
Did you use 4 cable method in this video?
And after watching this: the key to greatness is careful programming and playing everything note-for-note. Kudos!
Very impressive : both the playing and the products capability/features
i love it thank you for all this outstanding demonstration cool and very nice playing and sound
Thank you Housseine.
This is why i bought GT100... impressive, the best demo
Just purchased one, after years of trying to find a great floor effects - I have now found it! Hallelujah.......👍
I like this guy. Demos stuff playing bits of songs we all know rather than twatting about playing a million notes a minute or the 'sensitive' jazz-fusion bit. Rather watch/listen to this than any of the demos.....
Thanks mate.

Absolutely fun to watch. Thanks. God bless n rock on
Every single solo I went to check them out to learn!
I'll get this before the kemper! I've dreamed about patches like this so good 👍
It's now 2022. And I'm still using the Boss GT-100 without regret. Boss has a new unit out, but I like the GT-100's pedals better.
Me too. Can you find these patches somewhere now?
Still on it 2023..
GT-100 is the best guitar effects bundle for the price in the world. It's better than sliced bread. Love it.
No, plugins are much better
Yes Patches are up on the Roland Web Site
Those heavy tones at the end of the video are awesome! Considering he is using a strat!
Trop bon ! l'alliance parfaite entre justesse, finesse et rapidité. Chapeau :)
man I have so many questions about the video production lol. This feels like a fever dream
Dear Joshua, great playing and wonderful patches you created - all is amazing. For all of us here - can you please share at least some of your patches ? PLEASE !!!!!!
Hey Joshua....really nice playing dude. Some awesome sounds! Gotta get me some of those patches!!
purchased this on Saturday.awsome piece of tech!!!
the best review of the GT100!
Hey, hope you like them.
Great playing Joshua
When you load the patches from the website. Press SYSTEM and select "Phones/Line Output" otherwise the patches won't sound right.
Hey Joshua baby...man you're the absolute best guitarist and seem quite humble too!! Anyway, where you living now? Little brother, you're an true inspiration to musician everywhere, my friend.

Hi Joshua! Please tell me where I can download these patches because I can't find them anywhere.
Thanks! A link?

That’s amazingly awesome ❤😮
Impressive tones!!

Fair enough, will check them out. At least you had the grace to reply. thanks for that.
That was an awesome demo. I know it cost Roland an arm and a leg to put that together, but it was well worth it.
the watchtower tone is really good
oh yeah! i got to get me one of these. and the guitar playing was great - really enjoyed it! SOLD!
The Surfing with the Alien one is spot on!

Nice patches and great playing.
Patches are no more available on Roland Australia... But you will find them in BossToneCentral using the Boss Tone Studio app.
Superbe demo . Merci👍
5:17 where do you get those patches. I don't think they are factory settings
Hi WRK you can actually get the on Joshua's website. Search Joshua Munday
@@rawh321But you can't. There are other patches for various bands but not this set.
That U2 patch sounds JUST LIKE the Edge's tone! Yep..gonna have to trade my GT-8 for one of these.
Yes.. You will be able to get these patches on the Roland Australia web site.
See web site in the description area.
Now THAT's good promo!
No Amp. Josh is going direct

Joshua Munday The Best Demo ever. ;)

This demo is the GT-100 straight into the PA system...it is how it sounds. No other processing/interface is being used.
Great job ! And that's the real tones you get ( i have a GT 100). No fake, no "sound kitchen" in the backyards after recording ................
Hi boss gt100 users. You prefer connect your gt100 to the amp input or in the amp return?
This is why I bought the GT-100 to0. I traded in my GT-10 and like the GT-100 so much more and easier to use and does so much more.Easy to make your own sounds.
Do czego podłączasz bossa? Końcówka mocy i głośnik. Czy metoda na 4 kable? Jak radzisz go podłączyć? Jak będzie najprościej i najlepiej?
Hi Indy, I shot and recorded the video. What would you like to know?
Just wanted to say that I love my gt100
This guy can sure play.
Does anyone know where the original patches are now? All the links I've tried for these patches seem to take you to a file called "25 Classic Tones" and they are not the same as the ones in this demo video?

Surfing With The Alien tone was quite impressive
un believable I hope mine sounds this good........
I own the earlier gt 100 and have still not found a way to bypass the patches. Does this unit have a bypass mode? Thanks
When you realise this venue is only 10 mins down the road from where you live...
Great! thanks!
Awesome

Hi Josh, this sounds awesome! Is there any way to get this sounds also for my Roland GR 55? I am not that advanced to create them myself... Cheers!
