It's amazing how they, keep coming up with different ways to jailbreak, I hope they come up with a way that doesn't require external devices, or at least that needs to be done only once

None of them would be posible.
CFW is impossible as of now, we don't have the private keys to sign the firmware. Unless they get leaked, there's realistically not much we can do in terms of making the jailbreak permanent

@@curiousmind_ I did it. It's easy. Just run Linux on the PS3, then connect a ethernet between the two and do the PPPexploit.
You could do the same to the 360 (modded)

Well most of these(modern ones) run something close to android so If you would root them and find like a usb port. Hell yeah why not

@@wasiqdiwan7211maybe try to turn it off and on. Had the same problem after some steps (espacially when openwrt had to refresh), this solved it

So, if you were not using the button ok the router and you had to run using the web browser, can you use the ps4 web browser? I was a little confused there if you meant a browser on your pc or on the ps4?
Confusing. You still need pc all the time? Or not? And if i bring my ps4 to other place where is different internet, i have redo all internet connections via router settings?

Wow, I'm so glad the community has rallied around this exploit and tried to make as accessible as possible. People could've easily gatekept this information to sell small, purpose-built devices with 200% margins.

Hey Modded Warfare, it seems it won't work on all OpenWRT compatible Routers. I got an TP Link Archor C6 with OpenWRT, just tried the guide but it is sadly stuck on downloading the zip, since my router is limited to 2 mb of space. Thanks for the effort of doing this tho!

i'm running into problem however. I tried both the PPPwn GUI 1.9 on my computer and the router method to no avail, my ps4 would crash after the jailbreak runs for a few times. I had success running the PPPwn GO though. So i'm worndering how to use those files on my router. any help would be much appreciated.
Can I use ps4 cheater or ps4 reaper on 11.00? It’s like not connecting, it says “target refused to connect” along those lines.
Arduino chip w5100 will definitely work with this jailbreak as it also has Ethernet port so no additional adapter and it's cheaper than raspberry pi

I was trying it out and unfortunately if your router only has 2mb of flash storage, then you're out of luck. It'll max out and won't be able to download the whole zip (let alone unzipping the contents too)
