  • This was our first kayak trip of 2022 (certainly more to come!). We actually visited the Silver Springs park twice earlier this year and decided we wanted to kayak here.
It's a cool place and the springs are beautiful. It's also an easy kayaking trip.
Here's the video on our prior trip to visit the park: • Things to Do in Ocala,...
The pizza place we ate at is called Blue Highway Pizzeria:
    2130 E Silver Springs Blvd
    Ocala, FL 34470
Hope you enjoyed our adventure! Please give our video a thumbs up and make sure you're subscribed!

You should've taken SR40 further east to the boat basin and launched from there. You have to paddle upstream to the spring, but it takes about 3 hrs. Going back to the boat basin is a breeze.

Love this channel!! Just found it….Love the “Leave turtles alone unless helping one across the road”!!! Ive stopped major traffic doing just that so big respect brother Jason!! Ill never forget here in Naples, a school of manatee were swimming by our pier near beach and a woman tried laying on the back of one to swim on 😡….she was arrested on the beach 20 mins later…as well she should have!! Love Florida really goes out to protect the wildlife👍🙏🏻. More videos from this channel 👍👍👍

Thank you brother Dave! Yeah we’ve helped many titles across the street in our lifetime!! And yeah, I’m not sure why some people are just mindless when it comes to manatees and animals in general. Those are the most gentle creatures!

We're so fortunate to have that kind of scenery here in FL. I'm in Lake County, and have floated down the Dora Canal several times. It never get's old. That is until you float past a 14ft gator who you SWEAR is giving you the stink eye. 99.9% of the time, he's right. Don't be a d**k and start provoking, or bothering the wildlife, and you'll have no problems whatsoever. Thank you for sharing this. It's beautiful. Btw...is that spring water as cold as the other one's I've experienced??? I could never get my self to get in the spring area....it was just too cold.

They say the springs around FL is around 75 degrees, year round.

@@candyandjason Yup...too cold for my thin blood! But, a wet-suit, and a snorkel would be a lot of fun in one of those springs. 👍

Have you guys seen the bioluminescence in Florida? I'm gonna be in Florida in a couple of weeks and looking for good place to see it.. Also didnt realize the metalhead guitar guy also had an adventure channel on here lol

Candy here! About 13 years ago we did a bioluminescence kayak tour. The first time was amazing. The second time, not so much. It's not something we would ever do again. We used the same company both times. We had such a terrible experience the second time I wouldn't recommend them. I'll just say, make sure you do your research about bioluminescence. Because you may end up not seeing anything. I hope I didn't deter you. I just wanted to tell you our honest experience.

It's a cool area and lots of things to do like kayaking and trails. We actually live in Seffner (Tampa/Brandon area, about an hour and a half from Ocala). We do plan to go back to this place to kayak...it's one of our favorites.

If you travel 2.5 hours down the river how do you get back to your car

    • @candyandjason
      @candyandjason  11 місяців тому

You have the choice to go back to your launch site or paddle to the nearby park area where you can load up your kayak, which is what we did. I hope that info helps.

We did see a gator and that's towards the middle of the video. We also heard someone say they saw a water moccasin...those things are scary!
