I love this because it probably is showing some people who would have never heard these beautiful lyrics because they don't like metal
MailOrderGamers I seriously doubt any of these people watching in the video, ie the public, not us the UA-cam viewers, even know it’s a Pantera song.
@@robbybiddle9236 ...Ah, You're clueless.
falconater68 that was a typo. I was talking about the public in the video. Not the viewers of the video. Fixed. 👍
well if some green grass bunch plays some songs +10m away from me I doubt I would recognize the songs either.
i like metal just wasnt into the whole angry racist skinhead thing.
Met my 81-year-old, Irish uncle couple of hours ago. He randomly mentioned he liked Pantera, especially their song 'Cemetery Gates', and then he proceeded to recommend me this cover version.
To say I was slightly surprised would be quite the understatement. 😱🤘
Your phone eavesdrops on you and then harasses you with suggestions and ads. I’ve noticed I just have to have the phone with me for it to pick up my conversations.
I find it very offensive and upsetting but I’m not sure gape to stop it from happening other than keeping my phone turned off but even that might not work.
The way the accordeon Player is smiling when the solo starts. You know he feels it. Its prolly my favorite part of this video
No autotune, no effects and killing it. Straight up talent.... Big guy with hat kills me with all his various entrances.... lmao
They killed it alright...butchered
That accordian solo was freaking awesome.
bubbasdragon agreed.
Yeah, dude killed it.
It looks like Brazilian forró
It’s honestly better than the real thing
all of them are awesome but this accordian player can do any instrument in the world he is just amazing
That accordion solo
Gets me every time.
The TMNT pants get me everytime.
Accordion. One of the few instruments whose volume depends not on your fingers or your lungs, but the sheer strength of your arms. Half instrument, half assault weapon. Fearsome at close range.
Lmao! Thanks
Half instrument, half assault weapon
👍🤣🤣🤣
Manny fear it! Few understand its power!
Evidently drums are not a thing in your world…?
@@brandoncrimmins6296 is that not another of the few such instruments?
At 2:30...I bet that old dude was like " hey honey, they're playing Pantera".
Lady as uninterested as ever. Women's default more: Put on a smile and act as if you cared.
Looks like Stan Lee 😁
Grandson: grandpa, what's Pantera?
Old dude: you'd never understand you piece of sh*t
Man, it would be awesome if some metalheads happened to pass by and started headbanging
Hell yeah I was just thinking that!!!
+MetalHeadBrittany Hahaha me to xD
+monaski
why the fuck would you head bang to cemetery gates
I'm jammin !! love these dudes man !
lol
their ability to keep time is astounding
Thanks to the percussionist
Indeed!
As was the precision and the control of the volume of each one of the instruments. It was overall very, very polished and astounding performance. That takes some dedication.
its polka boom, boom, boom, boom
shane bieda such true talent I'm Canadian and its almost what pantera would sound like coming from the east coast of Canada!!! amazing
Todd Reed Needs more fiddle ;p
Got chills when the accordion started playing, that will be the first and last time I will ever say that!
🤣🤣🤣 Solid effort!
Last time - except after you've heard more of their songs :)
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
"Solid effort" has to be one of the most condescending, off-handed compliments ever. But good effort.
@@ryanchristensen5266 yawnNNN!!🤏
Somewhere weird Al is shaking his fists sayin “why didn’t I polka that!”
kris vanderwyk lol definitely!! Xx
Because there are better bands to cover.
Blasphemy!
kris vanderwyk most definitely!! Pantera are legendary!!!
@@Spellbound-fy2ts ua-cam.com/video/5l9ng0qP8y4/v-deo.html
The people watching wouldn't know what talent was if it fucking slapped them in the face.
+Lewis Griffiths weird
***** Sorry my bad changed it now. :P
+Lewis Griffiths *with a banjo
Who is the dude singing
Lewis Griffiths i couldnt have said it better.
This is the heaviest song with 0 gain I've ever heard in my whole life. Incredible.
Johnny Cash: Rock Island Line
Lol no tubes involved
There´s really no words that can describe how good this made me feel as an old fan of Pantera.
I dont get it...did the oppisite for me...
@@illfather7066 I'm sorry :-(
I bet dime never thought his solo would be play on an accordion.
He'd probably be proud.
He would have loved it and roared laughing
Ya dime would have for sure ended up jamming with these dudes 100 percent haha
DIME wrote sbout his dead mother and you people think he'd be PROUD to hear it turned into an upbeat happy carnival song...if someone did this to my mothers song id be pissed.....next they can do Trent n johnny cashs song HURT...We can dance and polka til we all hurt ourselves...
@@illfather7066 Dime would have joined in and the song lyrics were written by Anselmo.
I love it how in this park nobody actually gets the pure genius of what this actually is! Imagine if you really did just walk past this and realise what was going on.
They're New Yorkers... Give them some credit for walking upright at least.
And birdshit in the hat...does nobody care anymore?
Aaand its a fudging good version...
I would of been dancing around like a nutter
I see the puzzlement in their faces. One lady seems to have recognized their stuff, and their twist. She gives that incredulous smirk.
I'm astounded. Just wow. The talent it takes to do such an intricate song like Cemetery Gates with all of its nuances and recreate it in a very difficult art form as polka...well in my opinion that takes a special kind of talent. I'm an instant fan of these guys thank you for doing this! Reminds me a bit of Chris Thile using his mandolin to not just do blue grass but classical, rock, pop, you name it. A great musician that wants to keep challenging themselves will attempt feats such as this. It's definitely not for the weary of heart. Heck even Dime himself and Pantera used to perform their version of Mission Impossible amongst other non metal songs in metal form. I love it when artists do this. Very cool guys! If I had been there with my wife and four kids I would have dropped everything and been head banging whole time! Love it!
Cross-genre. Punk goes pop, fame on fire, frog leap studios and now this. Thank you!
Right? I’ll never get over dimes beautiful rendition of planet caravan. Gave ALL of the respect to tony and the original song but Jesus he put some damn stank on it, no distortion too. Shit sent me outta this world.
A part of me is so jealous of anyone at that park on that day… but from the looks of it I don’t think anyone in this video knew the original song so they may not have that deep appreciation of what these guys pulled off.
Words can’t express my love for cemetery gates in almost any form
Heard that I did
Dude just blew my dome piece with the accordian solo!!! Lol did not expect that. He carried, well outlined the whole song aswell.
Dime is smilling a black tooth grin right now
+João Ferreira Dime would totally want a drink or two with these guys :)
+Bartosz Sawicki True
+João Ferreira Holy fuck, I forgot all about black tooth.
+João Ferreira I am absolutely sure Dime would've loved it and got proper drunk with these finns.
yup
What is wrong with that AUDIENCE?!?! I would have been howling at the end and clapping until my hands bled.
They´re incredible.
+Ricardo Morales yeah but they sound so silly
+Ricardo Morales These people have never heard of Pantera, they have no concept of what they are hearing.
+Ricardo Morales they are finnish.
+SuperSuomijellona They are not, this was shot in US, I believe
Olli Juntura on ne suomalaiset sinnekki kuitenkin ehtineet :D
This drummer gets me every time. In the pocket at all times.
My god that accordion solo was killer
and 80% of the people there had no idea they were listening to Pantera.
But they werent, they were listenin steve n seagull
as they had no idea what 'Polka' does mean...
haha 99.8% and that includes the band!
@@thespacechannel3621 Metal Neckbeard clearly doesn't know what polka is. Which means metalheads don't know what bluegrass is.
I just smoked a whole dime bag of bluegrass
!
If it was bluegrass did you get low?
Haze!😈
I see what you did there.
So , how was the trip ?
Guarantee every guitarist dropped a twenty into that accordion players case. Unbelievable version of this song. So love that they didn’t change a single note of the solo.
Jesus, such a talented group. This is literally the 30th time i watched this in 1 week.
dime would be proud
Couldn't agree more, I bet he would be so stoked to see this.
He would probably be like Hey maaaan that shit was awesome here have a shot with me man
He'd be fuckin' hysterical!
benD'anon fawkes He would be proud. These guys did a great job. lots of soul and passion. that's what Dime was about.
FUCK ME!!! Imagine Dime's reaction if he would watch it live! Brilliant!
I love the fact, they made a Pantera Tribute with pure folk. Very original And cultural.
Saw then live for the 2nd time in my life about a month ago. They played also this song. They are so awesome live. After the gig I got to hang out with 3 of them. Really humble and down-to-earth guys. Just as we finns usually are. Proud of my country!
that crowd has no idea how awesome this cover is.
I love this so much
Oh hey Samus.
Do a drum cover of this cover!
66Samus No way! Fancy seeing you here haha
WHO DOESNT O.O
Durr
Thats some high functioning shenaniginery
"Shenanigans" is already a situational descriptor.
LeeVing88 but shenaniginery is also a word, and in my opinion a beautiful one.
Mixed with a little high-jinx and a splash of tomfoolery!!
the man with the accordian is brilliant lol love this band
I'll forever hear this song in the back of my mind every time I listen to Pantera. I'd love to party with these guys! Thumbs way up!
Dimebag would be proud!
EliKRistberg
Take a pull for Dime, take a pull for this remake! Black Tooth Grins for EVERYONE!
this is exactly the kind of thing Dime would have loved.
You are so right!! Greetings!!

Solo was impressive :)
+drummingxtreme totally was. and it was a pretty flawless rendition of Dimes version too
Every person who has at least a little bit of musical sensitivity would appreciate this performance. They are a great great bunch of musicians. I love Pantera but I appreciate this arrangement very much.
Cemetery Gates is my favorite power balat. What STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS have done with this refreshing arrangement is genius.
The guy on the accordion is unbelievable.
Wtf did just happened?! Lol! I never thought I could hear this song this way. Wow these guys just made me so happy! Lol! Thanks a bunch!
Quentin Tarantino is killing those drums lol

I only have 5 videos I’ve liked on UA-cam in
the last 6 years and this is one ☝️
The accordion is toooo perfect ⚡
Even more awesome than Seek and Destroy. Cemetary Gates is the best metal ballad ever. Man, those guys have good taste.
There's nothing wrong with the audience, you can look at the eyes of those people and see that they have no clue about wtf is Pantera. This cover is simply brilliant, though. Really amazing.
This guy actually sounds good. Odd cover but well done. They took it seriously.
Yeah they seemed to like it ok, in the way folks treated to an impromptu show just soak it up without giving much back as an audience... but if they'd been played the actual Pantera song they'd have got up and walked off or called an officer of the law to deal with the nasty public disturbance...
the accordion really makes ya think how different pantera would have been if they were from Poland
Leopoldo Aranha I dont see why that matters? Good music is good music. I'd never heard of pantera until today, and I actually like this cover much more. I appreciate the original, but ive never been a fan of metal. This cover is much more accessible to the average person on the street. And is absolute brilliance, would have clapped my hands off if I saw it live.
The accordion....wow. This is amazing!
How in the hell does this style, fit this song, this well???
What kind of old-world, back-woods wizardry is this?!?!? O_O
And. That. Solo! Is that the F-*#!%g Fox Hat of Destiny?
Lot of metal actually comes from old styles of music some blues, blue grass, rock, country, and classical European music.
@@jthedarkwolfxtreem This is true. But, I have come to learn that if a song is good, it sounds good in almost any style.
It dont....at allll...wtf is goin on..is everybody losin their marbles...
Best cover of Cemetery Gates. Ever. Trust me. Play it again.
Saw them in Guthrie, Oklahoma, 3 weeks ago at the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Frestival. They were great. The audience was wowed, asked and got encodes.
I still watch November rain on a daily basis that was the first song I heard from this band. I am absolutely hooked and must have subscribed new fans for them..for some reason I'm thinking this would pair quite nicely with some good indie rock, perhaps 😏😉🤩THE NATIONAL
I didn't fully appreciate this song until I heard these guys do it. Thanks
Same here.
First off, that is absolutely the greatest band name i ever heard... Epic... I thoroughly enjoyed this cover... You guys are friggin talented
I see the lars ulrich signature percussion kit..
Angel Aponte the difference is this drummer is good
lmao!
Where exactly was Lars during 911?
Crying hahaha
Angel Aponte lmao xd
Aah man...this made me cry, that's how freaking good this was. Good people, good music, good everything! :D
Don't know what's wrong with the people watching....I would so headbang to this man! ;) \m/ \m/

Love that guy's voice! I can't help wanting to hear him with a metal as the music. They're all super talented!!!
These guys are amazing musicians. Harmonize together well too. Watch their versions of 'seek and destroy' and 'the trooper' if you haven't already.
I've never been this proud to from Finland! :D
Nothing makes me happier than this. Brings me back to being a wee kiddo passing out in my step-dad's truck, after football practice. Back then, I couldn't fathom how Vinnie Paul did double bass as efficiently as he did.
Thank you gentlemen!!!!!
Banjo is such a satisfying instrument
I was really thrilled and almost cried. A great tribute! Good songs speak to the heart independent of the instruments.
Oh my god, the accordion solo & banjo solo was INCREDIBLE.
Oh man! The solo part was just amazing! Hellyeah!!!
It's so tight I love it!
Imagine them performing in Moscow in 1991 with Pantera...would be awesome!!!
I Can see it all, bro
I bet they would be more accepted in NOLA 👍
Polka is German not Russian.
Russians love Polka tho.
firemediq Monsters of Rock was in Moscow 1991, Pantera played that show.
I wonder how many people filming this realised what level of PERFECTION they were witnessing.
You know, that clueless look on EVERYONE'S face when they have absolutely NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE PLAYING......???
Wesley Snellgrove to be fair, I wouldn’t even know what they were playing if it wasn’t for the words.
They did a good job with AC/DC's Thunder Struck, but like everyone else is it hadn't been for the words and the title I'd have never known.
@@robnorth8514 The Trooper tho
Sad
I would have had no clue if I was just passing by
Is that bird shit on his hat? lol
it gives spirit to the song
Richard Sneed its jizz
Actual seagulls got their revenge....finally lol.
I'm not sure if it's my cup of tea but this is an undeniably awesome cover of my favourite Pantera song
Yes! Hiltunen you're busted! You ever so briefly stepped out of character at 4:02, smiling ever so slightly. Then realizing the camera was on you, you quickly reverted to your serious face.
Could this be of the Copper County Hiltunens?
@Ryan Reaper this has nothing to do with the metric system 🤔
Cant blame them, made that squeeze box sing like a crying angel...
Yeaaaah!! I couldn't hold myself hearing the accordion kicking in!! So damn good! Celebrate PANTERA! Wherever, however! There are no borders in music! Pantera forever!
My favorite song by Pantera and you guys nailed it. Much props and love.
That was amazing.
I'd like to think accordion is making a comeback. Seems like there are quite a lot of new accordionists popping up in our (millenial) generation.
Nice! I first heard them doing Thunderstruck and it was amazing!
DAYUM that accordion is the STAR of the show! Any idea how COMPLICATED that groove is on the accordion?!?! BRAVO!!! 👏 👏 👏
This just puts me in bizzaro mode.
I fucking love it. I'm a massive Pantera fan, saw them live many years ago.
I also play "wacky" instruments, I have mandolin, tenor banjo, and can get my hands on an accordion. I mean, I shred metal on a Dean ML, but I also "this stuff" (and I accoustic blues slide, etc).
You guys are awesome, thanks.
the looks of confusion are just as entertaining as the performance
I was impressed already, and then the Accordion began Dimes solo. Damn that was cool.
This is what made me buy a banjo now I got to learn it these guys are awesome
You'll be quick to find out that this is a guitar player who holds a banjo and calls himself a banjo player.
@@bakerlee3342 factually incorrect. He is quite an accomplished musician and songwriter. Very talented and creative with multiple instruments.
He nailed that solo!
They all nailed every part. I was blown away at how tight that was.
But, that solo just about knocked me backward out of my chair.
soo badass and that dimebag solo was insane
Y'all are awesome my grandfather sung like this .. Irish Finnish .

I absolutely love this version!
This is so unreal that it is so damned good!
Amazing solo with an accordion. Great cover
What a voice. And what an original cover. I would subscribe, but I'm already subscribed.
many years later, you have fans from the other side of the world wearing your T-shirt proudly. Like anyone In New Zealand actually knows the greatness of Steve'n'Seagulls.
Perdón que escriba en castellano, soy de Argentina, los acabo de descubrir y ya! Los amo! Son geniales!!!!
saw them live at summer, cant remember anything... it was little folk music festival and i waited some other band... and i was very very drunk. solid group.
Gibbetoo Gibgib Good, enjoy your life!
Just when I think I've kind of, sort of seen it all....I see this and am amazed. I don't listen to Pantera anymore, but had to hear this.
I must say the section where they battled notes vs keys is wonderful, something about dueling accordions and banjos gets me all fired up! God bless you fellers and your skilled craft!
