Hi, I just discovered your channel today and have binged watched all day and neglected all my daily chores. I love your topics and how quickly you move and get your advice across. Your humor is awesome! Thanks so much and keep those videos coming!
I’m still fairly new to painting. Recently started using Water Mixable oil paint. Love it. Being a perfectionist, I’ve had a hard time thinking that my paintings have to look perfect like a photo. Have a lot to learn. Best channel ever
If your a perfectionist the best advice I can give is: Re-paint the same painting over and over about 3 to 5 times. This will teach you so much, and it will show you how to improve parts you struggle with!
Glad to hear this video has been beneficial for you. There is a more advanced technique to this exercise.... But I will save that for another video down the road. 😜
I like your videos because you break down the concepts of Bob Ross. I tried painting like him for the first time and it didn't go well 🤣 but thanks to your videos I see where I went wrong. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. If you are looking for a great way to get started with wet on wet painting. Give this video a peep: ua-cam.com/video/AnGE7AYu9RY/v-deo.html
Hi Wild another great video. Russ here from the UK. I'm just starting out with painting and the wet on wet technique. Is it possible to practice the wet on wet technique on canvas paper? Like doing skies, mountains, trees, water etc. Don't want to waste money on proper canvases. Thanks
You sure can I even recommend it for practicing aspects your not good at yet. I have 2 older videos that go into it a little more and I think they even give you some tips. Check them out: Practice Tip: ua-cam.com/video/jWHz_HHlYig/v-deo.html Save Money Paint On This: ua-cam.com/video/xOJryG8NtwA/v-deo.html
This is a great exercise for myself being new to painting! Hopefully this will help with my gradients and take the guess work/crossing fingers out of the equation!
I know 100% it will. It will train you correctly on how to use your paints and mediums way way better. Once you have done that exercise don't be afraid to try one of my simple starter paintings too :)
Hello, I just had a quick question to ask. Where did you purchase your Bob Ross brushes from? I was looking to buy some from Amazon, but some of the reviews say that they are fake, not real, etc. Thanks
I got mine from amazon and everything was fine. Even if it wasn't amazon has buyer protection if they try to sell you anything different (you can always return and get your money back). You could always buy through Blick. They are very trustworthy. You can use this link below to take you to the spots I bought mine from: geni.us/BobRossBrushes
Thanks for replying! Also, did you buy the pack with all of the brushes and tools? I was only looking to buy a few specific brushes, is Amazon still a good choice?
To be honest - I bought the Master Kit first and built up from there. Amazon and Blick are both good choices - Just use my links to help me out he he he
Yes I have a few - Binge these videos to help you out: - Beater Rack: ua-cam.com/video/ssxfQv_82E0/v-deo.html - Condition and cleaner: ua-cam.com/video/gDaoXPk-nWQ/v-deo.html - Bob Ross Soap: ua-cam.com/video/X-aG6dfSYVI/v-deo.html - Palette Cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/k1wM8_illII/v-deo.html - Keeping brushes clean: ua-cam.com/video/9ABfigTK8dU/v-deo.html - Oil Soap: ua-cam.com/video/34s-8vUoDdY/v-deo.html
@@WildCreates not particularly. Usually I like summer over winter but everyone loved that snowfall in the woods at dusk one so I'll say dealers choice.
Other brands are fine. Sometime you want a very firm paint or sometimes a very soft paint. I find it easiest for new painters to buy firm paint then make it softer using this product here: ua-cam.com/video/lMr6lQwMdWo/v-deo.html
Hi, Wild! Nice video. Can i ask how you made those rectangular paintings that you have displayed behind you in your room? They are beautiful with great colors :)
They are acrylic pours. I plan on doing more on my channel but I need to finish building my new pouring table and make more space. You can see how I do them in the link below: ua-cam.com/video/OJ8nWeL3Al4/v-deo.html
All for one and one for all.... when it comes to painting 😜 I use templates from Envato ( everything I use to makes videos can be found in the video descriptions ) or you can just go to the link here: Video Graphics: 1.envato.market/Wild4Games
You can find the link in the video description for the palette I use. If you would like to learn more about it. I also did a review on it here: ua-cam.com/video/5IVxt6381z0/v-deo.html
Great vid bro. If ever South Jersey, I owe you a beer for all the free tips .FYI , I checked out Michaels for the 70% sale , they had it but not on the Black primed canvas. :( O well.
I will most definingly take you up on that beer 😜 Just by the discounted white canvases and buy a cheap foam roller and some black gesso and BOOM instant black canvas pack :)
Yes - However when you mix water mixable paint with normal oil paint, you have to use thinner to clean your brushes. -or- You can make a water mixable liquid white, like I show here in this video: Link: ua-cam.com/video/c6ISb-xRCVs/v-deo.html
100% over-thinking it. Clouds are free forming... so just go with the flow. I plan on making a video about this subject matter - I am sure it will help you out when the time comes.
Shame... Guess you missed the part about how this is an exercise will work on your toning of colors on different liquid mediums for wet on wet painting.
@@WildCreates children learn the toning of colours at junior school. Toning of colours can be done in any medium, even crayons ! Usually watch your videos, but found this one was a waste of my time unfortunately
Shame you didn't find this video to your liking. Some like you have had the privilege to learn those aspects BUT that doesn't mean everyone has. Showing and educating new painters all over on the basics and getting them excited about it is what my channel is about. Doesn't mean ever video I pump out will be ground breaking or mind-blowing :P

@@WildCreates not particularly. Usually I like summer over winter but everyone loved that snowfall in the woods at dusk one so I'll say dealers choice.
