Using a butter knife is so much better than all of the other videos of people suggesting to use steak knives or scissors... wow. Personally I use a flat head screw driver and just turn the head to "pry" the cap loose then use a pair of needle-nose pliers too.
I tried this with almond oil and clove oil.I threw threw the old wick away and used q tips like someone suggested and I couldn't smell anything! If the old wick is not good then what? Also the wallflower holder gets all orange at the top I think then that doesn't make it carry the scent either.
You can probably get wicks at any big box store, hardware store probably even the dollar stores. It looks like the same wick used in Tikki torches for outside except maybe shorter.
Question: Any ideas on what essential oil(s) would resemble the B&B Fresh Bamboo wallflower fragrance? It’s described as green, fresh, crisp, floral, dewy and bright. Thanks for this video. Can’t wait to try it!
There isn’t any essential oils that resemble B&BW because they use fragrance oils. You can find clean made fragrance oils they smell stronger like theirs and you can find more similar ones and more
Olive oil cost :20 cents Essential oils :49 cents equals the 0.8 fluid ounces in the Wallflower bulb. Total cost 78 cents to refill . Of course these numbers vary on the quality of essential oils you use.
Do you know what the purpose of that nail is that is in the wick??? I cannot figure it out whatsoever. I was thinking maybe to gentle separate the wick so it can disperse evenly….that’s the only thing I can think of. What about you
it varys.. I find some are empty in a few weeks and others a month. This may have to do with the WF plug more than the bulb itself. The aeration holes at the top of the unit can become clogged, but can be cleaned using some oil and a cloth.
I just purchased some on eBay . Going to replace completely. Prefer essential oil 100% lavender orange lemon eucalyptus etc. I can't stand the commercial scents anymore too strong .
For when you want your home to smell like you just finished frying stuff all day long :)
I use Dipropylene Glycol as the carrier and it works Great! It evaporates unlike therapeutic carrier oils.

Which is better to use? Oil? or Water? I'm concerned with flammability, more directly what does BBW use in theirs?
Do you just keep reusing the wick for each scent you refill with? Do you know where you can find new ones?
Thanks! I have been doing that for years with all the empty plugins bottles on the market!!! Saves me tons of money!!
is the scent smell strong as the original oil scents?
Great to hear!
I don’t think it is, but I guess it depends on the scent used originally.
I’ve been doing this for years! Thought everyone knew to do! :)
Omg never knew about this
Me neither.. but I was just hoping it would be safe to plug in and reuse because of the electricity!
My friend does this! I'm gonna try it soon =)
How did you get that top off so easily? I basically destroyed my top trying to get it off!
hye.. is it bad if i refill it with car freshener?
Great 👍 idea …..I’m gonna do this 🤩🤩
Hey is it bad to use soap and water?
What other carrier oils can we use? Not liking the idea of using olive oil.
Avocado Oil or Grape Oil

I had the same problem...Looking for a solution
Awesome! Thank you 😃
Just tried this while i wait for my next order...i used lemon and lavender essential oils...lets aee how it works 👍🏾
So you don’t change your wick ?You would be smelling the old scent before the new scent🤔
Thanks u just saved me a ton of Monies

I can't even get cap off!!
You have to turn in opposite direction for some reason.
Muy buena idea, thank you!!
I was looking for how much? Drops and essential oils vs other oils?
Thank you for this💜
Should we remove the nail for easier removal next time?
I see the coconut oil but you didn't use it. Have you used it before?
I haven't. I prefer the coconut smell over the olive oil, but wasn't sure if it would solidify in the bulb.
I may try out the coconut oil to see if it works.
what was the cost comparison?
Olive oil cost :20 cents
Essential oils :49 cents
equals the 0.8 fluid ounces in the Wallflower bulb. Total cost 78 cents to refill . Of course these numbers vary on the quality of essential oils you use.
Awesome 💕🙏

Where did you acquire the mini funnel
mini funnel is an accessory I received from a steam mop :)
Just wondering why you have coconut oil sitting there? Doesn’t that become solid at room temperature?
The opposite. At room temp it melts and looks more like oil.
I tried this and it is not that easy to get that cap off and I still can't get it back on after filling the oil in the bottle. It is hard to do.
I just destroyed my cap trying to get it off and still couldn’t do it. Now I have a refill I cannot use 😭
@@daCubanaqt i mean, if it was empty then you are on net zero
How long will the smell last until I have to refill essential oil again?
it varys.. I find some are empty in a few weeks and others a month. This may have to do with the WF plug more than the bulb itself. The aeration holes at the top of the unit can become clogged, but can be cleaned using some oil and a cloth.
Do you know why sometimes the finished product leaks? Also, are newer wicks better than reusing old oily one?
What’s the olive oil needed for ?
Do the wicks need to be cleaned to get previous scent out?
I just purchased some on eBay . Going to replace completely. Prefer essential oil 100% lavender orange lemon eucalyptus etc. I can't stand the commercial scents anymore too strong .
What kind of wicks do you get ?
the wick is the original that came with the bulb from BBW
they can be a bit strong
Where can I buy the wick refills? eBay was mentioned. What is the name and size?
Bath & Bodyworks used to sell burning oils. Can those be used like this, as refills, straight, without adding any carrier oil?
I’m not really sure.
I spend approximately 59 to 80 per month 😪🙃😫
T
Yuck I say Only 2 time's a use wtf u used these way more than a couple of times 🤢
reuse, reduce
