can you cut coroplast on the Aura? Thanks for the great ideas, love them. I bought the template and am using 5ft coroplast sheets (thick ,cheap, durable plastic used for lawn signs) to make the sanderson sisters and it was so easy to cut with a craft knife for anyone worried about cutting wood. I'd love to see some of your large coroplast cutout ideas as well. Can't wait to finish them and put the on my porch this halloween.
I agree while we enjoy wood projects you show And I am happy for you having the glow forge free Most of us can’t go that route and keep up with the tools you you tubers have It’s a matter of skipping that bit of the video To see if the rest is doable Please make more without thousand dollar machines You are a talented crafter And a pleasure to watch
Thank you for sharing the machine! While it is pricey I love that you share all kinds of tools out on the market. Also, for those of you who complain about her getting it “free”, she isn’t really getting it free when you look at all the time she has to spend to make one video. Break the value of the machine down and the hours these creators spend to bring us FREE content, and I think some of you would be shocked at how much they actually make per hour. This is their job. They figure out what their time is worth and then get paid for it. Would you spend 40 hours a week at a job for no pay?
Thank you Judy!! I appreciate this comment so much! I do this full time so working with brands and ad revenue from my videos help me create more free content. 🧡🧡🧡
BOOM!!! Out of the ballpark!!! ⚾⚾⚾ Those waves!! Aweeesooome!!🌊🌊🌊🌊 Cute retro record player stand!! 💞💞💞 Those backlit Hocus Pocus sisters... genius!!🎃👻🎃 TFS your awesome talent!! (Those waves!!😳😳😳!!!! Perfect!!! My favorite!!)
Great ideas, Whitney!! Thank you for sharing. I love how companies can share their products through you and other you tubers ❤❤. It's a bonus for us and you all work so hard to keep us entertained and informed.
You are the BOMB!!I wish that could do half of the projects that you do, you are just so talented. I love the Sanderson sisters diy. Thanks so much for sharing! Great video!
Amazing. We have been doing the rebar and brackets for 5+ years now. Makes set up and tear down so easy plus things don't blow over. You are such an inspiration to all crafters. Thank you
Sometimes I just have to sit back and watch you do your 🪄 magic, knowing I can never create anything like that. With a little tweaking tho, a little something similar can work. And I love those laser cut Sanderson sisters 😊
Hello Whitney! I hope you and your family are doing well!🙏❤️ I love, love anything beach themed! Your wall art of waves is absolutely gorgeous! So beautiful!❤ Your wood earrings are adorable! And your Sanderson Sisters are really nice! I love your map frame! It is absolutely beautiful & such a special, sentimental gift idea!❤ Your record player stand turned out beautifully! I love it!❤️ Your hocus pocus girls look great! As always, Whitney, you do great work!❤ As always, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
Aw thank you so much! I enjoy it, it’s always interesting to find a balance when no many folks have one. But I’m hoping to do some laser projects for the holidays!
I just purchased the Aura and really would like projects that use wood other than the glowforge proof wood. The proof grade wood can add up really quick. Thanks again. For help
Love you were able to get this machine. Love everything you made. You did an awesome job on your record player stand. But, those Hocus Pocus sisters. Whew!!! Awesome job. They came out terrific.
You are truly my people with the Karate Kid reference🤣🤣🤗Beautiful projects, hope you enjoy your glowforge..can't wait to see what all you do with it❤🙏🏾
Hi Whitney, I am curious about the Aura vs the xtool M1 that you reviewed earlier this year. I was set on the M1 after that video but now that you’ve shown this one I’m unsure again! Thanks! 😊 Melissa
Before I bought my table saw, I'd get Home Depot or Lowe's to cut my plywood down to specified sizes. They won't cut pieces that measure under a foot, but I never needed them that small. Just a thought since the plywood sheets and cost of cuts after the first one or two is usually cheaper than the equivalent in project board. Just a thought.
Great video. I loved all your projects and your Sanderson Sisters are amazing, definitely on my to do list. Yes more Aura projects please, and thank you so much for adding the file sources to your description box. The laser is definitely addicting and my mind is whirling with ideas. Keep ‘em coming girl!
Your Sanderson sisters are fantastic!! So realistic and just cool! I may try and replicate them! As always your videos are just the BEST!! Thank you! 😊
You Are a rockstar! You nail the wood projects every single time! ( Literally) 😂😂😂😂 Love them all! Makes me wish I took Woodworking in High School. Lol
Love your wood videos especially! Loved the Sanderson Sisters. Not comfortable with tools but maybe one day!Looking forward to more Aura projects. I have the XTool M1 which is similar.
You're so creative mama! Love watching you create. I think I have an obsession with wood 😁 oh and IOD moulds that's what I've been working with making mirrors on wood with those GORGEOUS Moulds from kim@myvictorianheart. thank you for sharing your creativity with us 💜🙏🏽💜 Blessings to you and yours 💜🙏🏽
Thank you Whitney for the wood projects dose are my favorites. About the Glowforge I have the big one and it’s a good laser cutter but it’s not really an accessible machine for everybody. Yes the Aura is a much cheaper machine and it’s not as easy to use if you don’t use their materials and software. All these companies that give you guys these machine to promote give you guys all the materials and access to their software. Yes they give you a month free but after the month is over their monthly subscription is not cheep and without it it’s very hard to uploads or do any designing on it. So be careful, do your homework before making this large purchase. Oh and air filter at they gave you again is not cheep. I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m bashing Glowforge. I’m not I learn the hard way and I want other people to know this.
My go to is typically 100 grit, but will adjust if I need more or less for specific projects. I use Diablo brand pads for my sander and 3M sanding blocks :)
Just found you on you tube when I searched for the Aura. Loved your video! Question - on the Let’s Stay Home sign, did you cut all three layers on the Aura or was the bottom geometric layer purchased? Also - what material did you use?
I absolutely LOVE this laser, this is on my birthday/Christmas list! How much is the monthly fee and do you have to have it in order to use the machine?
Nope, you don’t need premium to use it. Most of my projects were with my own files and ones from Etsy. It is a bit pricey at $50/month, but they also have a deal right now for $239 if you buy the year. It’s good to know it’s there but it’s totally not necessary! I hope that helps!
I noticed you seemed to have a QR code sticker in the corners of your wood pieces before you started the machine cutting....does the machine use that QR code or was that just a sticker left on the wood?
I agree. I love getting new craft tools but 1200 dollars is way out of my budget. Now if they want to give everyone a free one I'm game but until then, No thanks. I can see this for someone that makes stuff to sell but not just a crafter.
Right? Me too! I have seen several dt crafters that have gotten them for their sponsored video and am so jealous! 😂 that's a lot of dollars, but I'm starting saving now!
@@WhiskeyandwhitIt's going to take me awhile, but I'm starting an Aura fund now! Do you have a Çricut Maker? I've heard they can cut balsawood, but have never seen anything new use the tool that cute through wood.

LOVE all the wood projects!!! Every one turned out so good that I can't pick a favorite. I am really interested in the GlowForge as I would like to do more wood projects to sell. I make crafts and work/volunteer at a gift store I am a part of. The $1,200 makes it very tempting as these type of machine usually run 6 or 7 thousand. It would be the perfect size for the things I would be making. I am going to read up on it and Yes I would like to see you make more projects with it so it can help me decide to Go for it or not!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! If you have specific questions you can email hello@whiskeyandwhit.com and I’m happy to answer them! Comment replies sometimes get lost in the shuffle 🧡

Hey Whit, I didn't read the comments so I'm not sure if anyone told you this but a OSB 4X8 sheet is only about 20$, most big box store will cut it into 2ft sections for free! it would be a lot cheaper, just sayin😊
Love the Sanderson sisters can’t wait for all your Halloween crafts the glow Forge is a great tool would love one but a bit pricey would love to see more laser projects Whitney have a awesome weekend ❤
I love Hocus Pocus, and think your project (laser cutter) looks so cool! But there's no way I can ever afford anything like this 😞But thank you for sharing all. P.S. Sorry I forgot to ask, where on Etsy did you fond your sister (Hocus Pocus) yard pattern?
Laser cutters are cool but are just too pricey Im still saving for a ink jet printer and a sublimation printer but love the big wood cut outs I got plans for Christmas now thank you witt❤
Absolutely, they aren’t a cheap purchase by any means. That’s not lost on me! No pressure at all, I love sharing the new things with the craft buddies to make you aware - but please know, regardless of the product, it’s never a hard sell by me🧡

I’m not 100% sure, but I think so! You can check the Glowforge Aura page for more specific material info.
Awesome! More laser project videos would be great

I’d love to have an Aura, but $1200 is still a little too steep for me🤷🏻♀️

How do you keep the jigsaw from vibrating against the wood?
My best tip is to use a scroll saw blade in your jigsaw and that will help. Usually the vibrations occur when the blade is getting stuck and the scroll saw option helps with that
