    Its frizzy because you’re touching it after applying the products. Wait until it’s fully dry to rub your hands on your hair like you’re doing

    your hair is gorgeous! and i think that a bit of freeze isn't that bad but if you want to get less freeze i suggest you not scrunching the cream in but applying it smoothly, and then brushing sections of the hair with the denman brush. I really recommend Manes by Mell's video "curly hair styling mistakes to avoid"

    I'm curious to how long your curls have been transitioning?. Your curls seem to be perfection now with such even shiny curls. I Also noticed your curls are so much fuller root to end now 🤩. I was inspired to get the big chop and now I am waiting to see my hair blossom. My curl pattern is so close to yours however I have lower density and some growing out to do.

    Subtitles on some kind of polish video about hair( mosted about curly hair). You will know more about balance PEH. Really it's change your life. And i think it not true that cheap shampoo or conditioner is worst than expensive. Maybe in yours drugstore it is but in our is many cheap shampoo and conditioner on really good composition. I really like yours videos and your tips that's why i write this comment because maybe u heard about that if not, now u hear and u will read more about that.

      Al-Shaima Othman hi ! My answer might be late haha sorry! But personally I only use one product and it’s either garnier dry or very curly hair, or curl lala by aunt Jackie and if I want some extra définition some homemade flaxseed gel.
      I hope it helped you !

    • @CozzyPanda49
      @CozzyPanda49 4 роки тому +1

      Al-Shaima Othman honestly i just use random ones everywash day, but most times it will be like a leave in and a curl cream or a curl cream and a gel, i really like kinky curly knot today leave in ogx comb cream natures little secret i don’t remember what it’s called but it’s a styler , sometimes i use the uncle funky gel and i also like the curl essence line that’s like pink n purple or smth like that, and i like this one curl defining cream by eden body works . Hopefully that helped !!!

    Hi! I have 3a/b hair as well. Have you ever tried raking the leave in conditioner and cream in (in sections or layers)? Then defining with denman and scrunching in gel/mousse last. I find it works really well for me and it would be cool to see how that styling method works for you.

    • @BreannaLeeLovee
      @BreannaLeeLovee 4 роки тому

      It could potentially be from breakage as well. If you use a lot of moisturizing products and your hair has quite a lot of stretch to it, brushing when it’s wet causes it to stretch even more and break. It really helps to have a good balance of protein and moisture! I would try using a nice protein treatment once every couple of weeks/ each month. It can really help balance your hair and get more structure! I had that issue with my hair and once I used a protein treatment I got more volume and more curl definition! Too much moisture can really weigh you’re hair down! Hope this helps:)
      Also make sure you don’t overdo the protein! Any more than once every 2 weeks can cause the opposite problem. Making your hair dry and straw like, and could cause more breakage from the lack of elasticity. Balance is everything! 👍🏼

      Check out "Manes by Mell" she is a hairdresser and explains the whole frizz situation.
      If I remember right it's something to do with the hair attracting the moisture from the air. If you use leave in conditioner or just do some moisture treatments that should reduce frizz.

      @fayrahkunwar 4 роки тому +2

      Sweetheart thank you so much for your reply. I'm from Pakistan but here people don't appreciate curly hair much they are after straight and silky hair but I really like my natural curls and want to maintain it but whenever I tried I failed as they start shedding a lot while detangling even with fingers 😔 I have so thin and damaged hair but the only good thing is it's curly!

    • @fayrahkunwar
      @fayrahkunwar 4 роки тому

      As I have damage hair and apparently no available products for curly hair I'm using mayonnaise as a mask to nourish and hydrate then rinse with a shampoo for damage hair and then scrunch with my tee shirt then apply rice gel (market one) for holding the curls and again scrunch for about 20-30 mins then air dry. After drying I get defined curls but no volume and they get lots of tangles so next day I need to detangle and again apply rice gel and scrunch to refresh. Am I doing ok?

    WHY CAN'T I LOOK THIS CUTE?!?!? T^T
    step 1 for me, would be to get thicker hair. Even if I follow these steps, my curls are gorgeous, but my hair is quite thin so it doesn't look as full and bouncy. Honestly, if I didn't have curly hair to mask how thin my hair is, I would be screwed! - looking like a 20 yo filch.

      Hello! I have naturally thick hair but I follow these for my mom who has SUPER thin hair and her hair has gotten a lot more thick and strong.
      Coconut oil (Optional)
      Olive oil
      Castor oil
      Vitamin E oil
      Softee Hair growth serum (If you get this get it at the dollar store because its a dollar their and on amazon its like 7 for a little container)
      Softee products (Get at the dollar tree too)
      Use hair masks! Either from the store or make them yourself. (The Maui Moisture Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter Hair Mask is good and it's only $5 Dollars on amazon)
      Make sure you get hair protien!
      Rice water is good, very stinky but very good (lol).
      Use leave in conditioner
      Nothing with parabans, sulfates, or silicones.
      Here are some links to some things I like to use!
      www.isitcg.com/ (It shows if the ingredients in a product are safe)
      www.amazon.com/Maui-Moisture-Hydrate-Butter-Ounce/dp/B01MXCO41W/ref=sr_1_9?crid=V925T07WGQZE&dchild=1&keywords=shea+butter+deep+conditioning+hair+treatment&qid=1600564828&sprefix=Shea+butter+deep+conditi%2Caps%2C230&sr=8-9 (Maui moisture hair mask)
      www.amazon.com/Scalpmaster-SC20-Shampoo-Brush-Purple/dp/B000NJG82W/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1AXGVFJR4DLI5&dchild=1&keywords=shea+moisture+leave+in+conditioner&qid=1600566158&sprefix=shea+moisture%2Caps%2C257&sr=8-7 (I forgot to mention this but a scalp massage is very good for blood-flow to encourage hair growth / thickness!)
      Also an additional tip would be to rinse your head upside down!
      Hope this helped! ♥

    I've been watching a lot of videos like this. I can't figure out what it is about my hair that's so different.
    I cannot EVER get a brush or wide comb through my hair by starting at the top and brushing down. Even if I used a whole bottle of conditioner 😆
    I have to brush the ends and slowly work my way up.
    Anyone else able to explain why??

    • @AllThingsOlivex
      @AllThingsOlivex  4 роки тому

      Kat Lucas hmmm do you brush while in the shower and after the shower?

    • @sewathome
      @sewathome 4 роки тому +1

      @@AllThingsOlivex I use a wide tooth comb while I have a ton of conditioner in my hair in the shower only.
      But even before going curly if I brushed my hair wet or dry I always had to start at the bottom or else I get huge knots 😬

    • @AllThingsOlivex
      @AllThingsOlivex  4 роки тому +4

      Kat Lucas oh I’m not sure why! Starting from the ends is actually a good way to brush as it doesn’t tear out as much hair

    I stopped straightening my hair 9 months ago. My hair got healthier with all the oils and treatments. But curls are not defined. I don't know why!! Is it bcz I don't use products (only mousse) or my long thick hair is weighing it down?!!

      yosr barkia maybe the mousse doesn't have enough hold for your thick hair

      yosr barkia maybe the mousse doesn't have enough hold for your thick hair. Try a gel

    • @amarins2747
      @amarins2747 4 роки тому

      How do u style it? Just scrunch the mousse in? In that case I would recommend brushing or raking the product through, on soaking wet hair. And adding a cream or at least leave in really helped me with definition :)

      Look into hair porosity and look for products based on that💕 Maybe deep condition or clarify

  • @DENISEISAMAZING3
    @DENISEISAMAZING3 4 роки тому +1

    Do you know your hair porosity?

    • @AllThingsOlivex

      Denise M no how do I find out?

    • @DENISEISAMAZING3
      @DENISEISAMAZING3 4 роки тому +1

      All Things Olive It’s to see how your hair absorbs moisture! You get a couple of clean hairs and put them in a bowl of water. Let them sit for 2-4 minutes. If your hair floats, you have low porosity. If it sinks, you have high porosity. There’s different test to find out!

      How to style my Hair without touching it please

    • @elizee73
      @elizee73 4 роки тому +1

      S S style it when it’s completely wet and if it starts to dry while you’re still styling it, re-wet it with a spray bottle. The frizz level when you are finished styling is the frizz level you’ll have when it’s dry so keep that in mind if you’re seeing frizz while styling. Always add more water. Then when you’re finished applying product, squeeze the excess water with a t-shirt then DO NOT touch until it’s COMPLETELY dry, hover diffuse if diffusing. Then scrunch our the crunch and fluff when it’s completely dry.
