We can go even further: integrate his Mario Maker Dangerous List of Evil. So he also needs to avoid jumping, turning around, touching the floor, running, leaving the corridor, stopping, crossing the line, ground pounding, letting the cannonball escape, killing the enemies, or killing Yoshi!
I think the problem is that you can't start the game with a mini mushroom. So it wouldn't be a new clean run that you could do a smallest mario run on. You could always grind them and then come back to the start, but thats a huge amount of work to just start a run and every time you died and ran out of mini mushrooms you would have to grind them and start again.

I've been thinking about doing a TAS of permanently crouching just for fun but I've ran into a few problems that I would have thought invalidated the run. For example, whenever you slide and jump again you will not crouch during the jump and are therefore not crouching despite holding down the entire time. Also, for some strange reason if you are crouch hopping across the ground and frame-perfect jump as soon as you hit the ground, you'll also stand up during your jump therefore ruining the run. For both these reasons combined I figured that it would be impossible to get past 8-7 due to it's insane amount of sloped surfaces (It is). The best example of what I'm talking about is at 14:02, just look at how often he doesn't crouch when he jumps (he IS holding down, but he jumped on a slope). Without always appearing to crouch, you'll just have to trust the viewer that you are holding the down button and at that point I decided that the run was too irrelevant to share. Anyways, good video Ceave :)
This is the comment I was looking for because this is exactly what I was thinking. But, unfortunately, this is super easy to do. You not only have higher jumps, but also a smaller hitbox. This would be easier than he normal run if not for the fact that you die in one hit.

This is the comment I was looking for because this is exactly what I was thinking. But, unfortunately, this is super easy to do. You not only have higher jumps, but also a smaller hitbox. This would be easier than he normal run if not for the fact that you die in one hit.
When this game first came out I tried this challenge, I want to say I invited it but I have no footage and I found older games with this challenge. It’s nice to see this challenge done by someone else
