What is your favorite distortion?
My 2003 Rat 2. But have been seriously looking at the 1981 for a while too. There’s always the next pedal on the horizon!
If I knew that I wouldn't have double digits amount of stompboxes! But on the subject, have you tried or heard about the Funny Little Boxes - Skeleton Key? Came out last month. I listened to the demo here on youtube and it seems to do a few decent QOTSA tones. Also artwork by same guy that does a lot of their album covers. I suggested in their comments they'd send you one.

That said the REVV G3 is my favorite, its the sound in my head I’ve been searching for.
I've heard so much good stuff about the G3 - need to try!
@@LivingroomGearDemos definitely, you may prefer a G2 or G4 but the 3 hits my sweet spot. The Tilt OD looks very cool to.

Did you use an amp sim for this? It just had that plastic-y high end to my ears. My favorite is Rat style distortion, turbo (led) is cool. I'm using the ROUS and the Walrus Iron Horse

Have you come across the Deuce Rat? We're probably sharing some similar opinions as I keep coming back to the Iron Horse.Some like to criticize or discredit Walrus since they've become more successful, but IMO, - they were knocking it out of the park all along .The double stage Rat has multiple clipping options, 2 separate ins/outs, and maybe more importantly ,a " no clipping" option.It's not a clean boost, which might be why it's special.
