- I Built My NEW BETTA FISH Farm! Is an INSANE and fun video where we rescue hundreds of super high quality GIANT galaxy koi bettas from a subscriber of mine who had been breeding them for years! Recently he threw his back out and so he asked if I could house his collection because he’s done with the fishkeeping hobby for the foreseeable future due to his injuries! Luckily, I have enough space to house the betta fish and start a fish farm of my own in my fish room and use some backyard ponds as well! If you’re interested in any of them DM on Instagram and I could see what I could do, for the most part they will be bred by my friends and I and I will be setting up a few aquariums as sorority tanks as well!

I think you need to have some hiding spots or sight-line breaks in the sorority tank to keep them from getting aggressive. What a score!
Beautiful KOI Bettas what a great score. You are so lucky. I was breeding Betta fish for a few years and i must say it was the best. The process of breeding, raising watching them grow is just amazing. It is rewarding. A tank full of female's is the best. the colours are just absolutely beautiful. Enjoy your new family of fish.

I have 4 male bettas in a 55g tank, a veil tail, a double tail, a half moon, and a crown. They all live together with no problems and actually school together. Bunch of females and plants and hiding places for them. Never have any problems. Its funny to see ppl ask why they don't fight, and I tell them i breed them they all grew up together. No stress no fighting.

Oh my word Rob!!! This has to be my most favorite video. I absolutely love betta fish I'd love to have them, I wish I lived over there so I could get some of those beautiful betta from you. What an amazing amount of colours so beautiful. I live in New Zealand so way to far away to be able to get come from you but I am going to keep an eye out for them in updates they are incredibly beautiful.

Hey Rob. Thanks for all the videos. Great job and I really enjoy them. Just wanted to say the I have been breeding betta's for about 5 years now and it is one of my favorite fish to breed. It's so amazing being blessed to witness the breeding process. Any way.... I just wanted to let you know that I learned my technique from Dexter's World. He has a step by step process that works great. Thanks again for all you do.

You are so lucky! I love bettas & use to buy them. I had one for several years who was rotten. His name was Captain Bipto. I kept him on my work desk. Every time I pointed he would fan. If I was busy he’d fan over & over to get my attention. I bought him several toys for him to fan out when i wasn’t there. I miss him so very much
Super nice of your friend to give you those fish. Breeding and selling those Betta could be a nice little money earner. Especially if you can perfect the purple and turquoise green colour morphs.

Wow! Rob, what a haul of gorgeous fish. Breed those snails too! In my area it’s impossible to find different colors of them. I will be checking in to find a small sorority for a planted tank I will be setting up soon. What a great video!!!

Thank god he gave them to you and didn't throw them in the canal. Probably over a thousand mystery snails and 10,000 bettas would have been an ecological disaster

I love Bettas! The only fish I have owned and hope to own again. I had a sorority in a 50 gal and loved it. Hope you have great luck, and once you get your shop set up maybe I can see about getting a few

So pretty! I'm in the process of cycling a new larger tank for my fish, and their current tank I think I've decided to attempt a planted betta tank. I need to do a lot more research first though because I've never done one before.

Awesome rescue Rob, I’m looking forward to see where this beta adventure goes. I’m a retired old man in Texas who in my teens we used to do the same thing along the bayous of Houston. Catching fish & turtles, then setting up ponds in our backyards. It was so awesome. So to get a chance to watch you do your channel, it’s so enjoyable. You keep sharing & this old man will keep watching P.S. Capt America is my favorite, should call him Trump…lol

incorrect! the females I gave to Rob look just like the males (very colorful) difference is the size a little smaller, body shape and fin length.

You might want to keep empty snail shells. Lake Tanganika shell dwellers use them, so you might be able to sell them in lots.

What amazing looking Koi Bettas! If you do decide to sell them online, I would really look into buying some! I have a 30gallon tank that has been empty for a year now cuz I can't think of what to add into it. But seeing those can be placed together without the males constantly fighting, I would love to have those in my tank! Definitely let us all know when/if you start selling them!!! 😊❤❤❤

Mystery and ramshorn snails, remember to separate them, and they need to lay eggs above water, but don’t let them fall out.

I saw a guy who has the bettas in those jars, he cuts a slit in the side higher up, so when he needs to change water he fills the top and the excess spills out the side, and all the jars were within a tub of water as well. He had them all outside.
I like snails 🐌 too. They had nice designs

Use well rinsed crushed oyster shells as a filter medium. There is a bacteria that grows in the crushed oyster shell. That bacteria eats the enzymes the fish produce that keep them small. Reduces the water changes.
the tanks are set up with volcanic rock which has alot of small holes and cheap. this keeps the water flow low which is needed for the bacteria
I have a “horror” tank (vampire crabs , ghost varieties etc) found a betta that was white and looked blood splattered. It would’ve been perfect but they’re so twatty
