my pastor has been faithful to expose the heresies in The Shack and to warn his flock. That is his duty as a shepherd.. to guard and protect. Thank God for faithful men such as yourself, my pastor and other discerning teachers. Blessings!!!
How thank we have been and are for you Chris. I got to share this with someone I love very much……you have been such a huge blessing and gift of the Lord to Bryan and I and our family. God bless you richly 🙏🙏
Thank you for standing up for the truth and exposing darkness. Rat poison is 99 per cent nutrition but the 1 per cent kills. I am shocked & saddened at the lack of discernment among some of my family members and the majority of my friends. God bless you for standing on the Word in love! Nolvia Pruitt
Ray Yungen attended a lecture in 2010 at Concordia University in Portland , Oregon to hear The Shack author William Paul Young. The name of Young’s talk was “Can God Really Be That Good?” During the talk, Young told the audience that “the God of evangelical Christianity is a monster.” He was referring to the belief that God is a God of judgment and will judge the unbelieving. Young also rejects the biblical view of atonement (wherein Jesus died as a substitute for us to pay the price of our sins).
gauleygirl2000 .....that tells us all we need to know. if 0ne dosent believe Jesus atonement, Jesus died for nothing. saved people don't talk like this.
I heard excerpts of some of his interviews and he sounds like an atheist to me using lots of the same language to describe what he thinks of God as you've illustrated above. Chilling to Christians, flies above the radar of unsaved people that dont believe Jesus is the only way.
Since I have been challenged to read the defense by Wayne Jacobson, let me quote from his defense. The Shack is a story of redemption, of God’s willingness to go into the worst of the human experience, and to the most broken of lives and love him into a friendship that could reverse the work of evil and restore a lost soul. In doing so it traverses the most difficult topics of God’s reality, suffering, depression, judgment, forgiveness, and love with a simplicity that befits the Gospel message. In my reading of the shack I never was shown how Mack was brought to redemption, as the bible teaches redemption. I never see that forgiveness needs repentance from sin, as Jesus taught and the apostles repeated over and over again. I do not see the "Gospel message" in the shack. I do see all manner of error being dished out under the banner of "love" which gives the error all of its cover from scrutiny.
Is there ever a time when we see people forgiven in the Bible even before they repent or ask for forgiveness? Is it safe to assume that the people that were crucifying Jesus were forgiven even before they asked? In Luke 23:34 Jesus said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". Was his prayer answered? The same with Stephen, in the midst of being stoned, he asked God not to lay this sin on their account. [Acts 7:60] I think that Saul later called St. Paul could actually be the evidence that God actually answered Stephen's prayer because after Stephen's prayer Paul has quite the encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus himself. And if God heard Stephen's prayer how much more effective would the prayers of Jesus be?
Wm Paul Youngs newest book, he now openly is admitting to believing in Universalism and also that his view of Hell is pretty identical to that of Rob Bell (who has come completely out of his new age closet) www.challies.com/book-reviews/what-does-the-shack-really-teach-read-lies-we-believe-about-god
It should be noted that "Papa" is never said to be "Mama". The Father says that he is only appearing in female form at the moment because Mac could not really handle the "father-figure" at that time. Later, while digging out his daughter's bother, Papa appears as a father-figure. All of this is just the Father giving vision to Mac, since the Father can't be seen in actuality, as he is infinite and outside of space and time. What this is showing is a) God the Father is infinitely powerful, and b) He is also extremely loving and caring.
I left a church that I was going to when the (pastor)recommended that his congregation would read it and believe a work of fiction, next church here comes ecumenical rick warren , didn't last very long there either where is the discernment even calvary pastors like brian broderson and greg laurie, jon courson are led away to ride the beast
You cannot say that Jesus came here solely under the direction of the Father, and then at the same time have Jesus say "no man takes my life from me, for I lay it down willingly." Also, when you speak about Jesus, you have to be clear as to whether you are talking about "Son of Man", who is the physical human flesh Jesus, or the "Son of God", who is the eternal son that came from Heaven, who made all things. The Son of God existed before the earth was made, but Jesus the Son of Man came into being within the womb of Mary. When the Son of Man was born, the Son of God dwelt within him, and the two were one at that time, for those 33 years.
you had me until you striked up the band at the end of your sermon... for someone who said we should be decerning and value and obey scripture, your disobeying a few of them at the end of this video.
This guy is blind but claims to see. I'm so sad for him. He obviously determined he hated the book before he ever read it so he twists everything out of context because he WANTS it to be heretical. He makes it say what he WANTS it to say. I'm sure he does the same with the scriptures. But this is not surprising. God's love is always a threat to the power brokers of this world.
It is not only Chris Quintana that you have a problem with, but a Holy God. Your blasphemous and demonic shack "trinity" is more loving and compassionate than the God of the Bible. You've got a more deadly problem than the Corinthians, in that they at least had, at one point, "a sincere and pure devotion to Christ". You've obviously never known Him, to defend blasphemy against Him. Sorry, bud. You're in deep trouble. "I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to Him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough." (2 Corinthians 2:2-4)
YOU are the one who said "God's love is always a threat to the power brokers of this world"... as if the "god"... goddess of the shack is the God of the Bible. It ain't! The goddess of the shack is a demon and a spirit of antichrist. My response to your comment was sarcasm, dude. That's what YOU think you've got in the "god" of the shack... one that, according to you who defend the shack, is more compassionate and forgiving than the God of the Bible, Who Quintana defends in this video. Pay attention.
so explain this. William paul young is speaking at an INTERFAITH conference with know new age pantheist Richard Rohr, who teaches that Creation is the 4th person of the trinity AND whos book is endorsed by multiple emergent church leaders such as brian McLaren, who believe that Jesus dying on the cross to pay for our sins is divine child abuse. This SAME BOOK written by Rohr is endorse by and the forward written by William P Young. Rohr also believes and endorses new age heretical belief in the Cosmic Christ- which by the way all the new agers are awaiting the arrival of. Rohr also speaks at new age conferences with people like Deepak Chopra, Ken Wilbur, Matthew Fox cac.org/events/conferences/trinity/

Good for you, Pastor Chris, for speaking truth and defending the true faith and Word of God!
Thank you so much Dear Pastor Chris. My friends at church think this is good book. Where has the discernment gone. God bless you Pastor Chris.❤️
That's exactly what I wonder when I read your comment. Where is YOUR discernment? How come you are deaf to God's voice?
Deaf how?
Unless you haven't read it. I certainly hope that's not the case before making such accusations.
Which accusations?

Excellent! Thank you for expressing this so clearly.
A Blessed Sunday, Dear Bev-Sis! Thank you for posting this So promptly! 🙏❤😘
Love your messages Pastor Chris
Thank you. This was a good, solid message with great bible references to back it up.

More loving than the One who IS Love? How is that even possible? You've got a very twisted view of God and the scriptures my friend.

Loren, do you know the personal theology of Mr. Young? Regarding Substitutionary Atonement, in particular?
