I love it when someone uses their brain and brings something fresh that most would have overlooked. I'll be on the look out for that offhand just to give it a try.
Totally had to come back to share my experience. My sorc doesn't have quite the dmg as yours and I initially found it difficult to manage lilith -- that is until I swapped out my boots for marrowwalk's. Just wow -- even though I didn't have the face melting dps illustrated in your vid, the life tap / bone prison was the MVP of the show and I was easily able to manage this fight by throwing rejuv's at my merc when necessary. Proc'd treach and tossed on venom ward as mentioned -- this was really easy. As a reference to others, my blizz is ~8k sheet dps.
I recommend dragging meph to the lower left away from the tp...if you die and have to reenter, sometimes the load screen is too long and meph will come over and kill you again....then it becomes this whole thing where you have to reload and maybe even sacrifice the merc as you load in....its not worth the trouble
Yeah...I had this yesterday. Loadingscreen and "HI - I'm Baal and here's my friend Mephisto." Both of them camped at the portal and we had to abandon our corpses...my Sorc-friend eventually managed to lure away Meph, so I could kill Baal and then we got back on the winning path.
Hopefully stuff like this will get more people to look at adding ES to their build. Even at low investment it adds a lot of defensive power and with the new sunder charms making single element viable without infinity I think a lot of mono-element builds can spare 20 points into telekinesis
+6 ES Memory and mid 90’s-high 90’s with vita build works wonders too. Swap to CtA for BC/BO and slap on ES with Memory and go to town with 2k+ HP/1K mana and a super effective ES for no real investment. It’s the build Llama was running and you’re pretty much invincible even in p8 if you’re piloting competently.
I will say 2x SoJ is required especially for the Nightwing/DF/CoH variant as you carry less hp/mana natively. The build from the vid works just as well you just sacrifice bit of damage to run it.
Just tried your setup. I am missing 6 skillers GC's, but I'm just not able to bring the bosses down. I think I'm missing open wounds? But you're not mentioning it? Am I missing something?
i saw the diablo 2 map, their world map of sanctuary, cabo de gata looks like it could be lut gholein, which rimes with spain. then kurast could possibly be memphis egypt. the 4th act might be a massive underground cave under travincal that leads to the chaos sanctuary
Hi there Lucky, I play on SP mode, though I managed to get a blizz sord who easy goes on p8(shako, arach, bk ring, hoto, cta… max ress etc) even with sunder charm, I cant kill Izual or Duriel fast enough, they cure faster than I kill them. I tried the merc with sazabis plus lawbringer, or treachery plus Duriel face, dont have the other two pieces. Do you think a Malice would be the solution? What options do you recommend? As you know is not easy to get all peaces on SP mode… I managed to kill the clone easy but this guys are taking my nerves… Thanks in advance , and great video. Cheers.
Yep, I don't know if they nerfed cold sorc too much or what. It's not possible to kill him with this gear setup. The only thing I don't have are his cold skillers and Izual outheals my damage I wish I had red the other comments first because now I have to farm all of those keys again. Guess I'm sticking to Smiter
Hey, thanks for this guide. It looks so easy when you do it. I now have stronger gear (such as Nightwing's Veil with facet, Chains, Death's Fathom, Arachnid's mesh), and my total skills top 44. Merc doesn't have coldsteel eye. I still do only a fraction of your dmg to ubers, especially baal and I struggle with diablo. On your video it looks like despite lower skills, you're doing much more damage to them. What could be the problem here? I don't have 2 soj though, I use 1 bul-kathos wb, and fcr ring.
This is really inspiring! And also a lot of budget items! Is the cold absolutely necessary? I was thinking about using your merc and tal set, but using chain lightning (with light sunder) to kill trash mobs while killing the individual bosses. It would take longer, but could be safer? Plus tal amy has light res, so there would less of a need for trang gloves. Could use a pair of frostburns instead and get a huge boost to mana pool for ES. Also, do you think Coldsteel's slow is a must or could be replaced with a mid-tier items (Lightsaber, Kingslayer, Malice, etc.)?
Great video and love all the info! Just a suggestion: put the camera on the left side? I wasn't able to see the stats (damage range) for your abilities when you were mousing over the skills in the skill tree. I was curious to see the damage so I could ballpark where I need to be at on this or perhaps others builds in terms of damage output.

i have don ubers on fire-cold sorc after 2 month when d2r lauched. In a low gear usig prison trap skill from this boots. When enemy cant move you can easly kill. It take some time becasue of low dmg and lots of money needed to repair boots to restore skill charges. ;] Sorc can do ubers from begging of diablo. What you need to do this is knowledge of the game, time & patience.
im really impressed by ES. i made CTA but ít rolled +3 bo...gave me +500 life and i became squishy. sold it. i rather have a memory on off hand it makes surviving way easier for the trade off of using more mana on ur way i think its worth :)
Seriously, dumbest thing in this game is charms filling the inventory. How does Blizzard not fix that? Give us another tab that's only for charms and deactivate them on the normal inventory!!!!!!!! We could even hold more torches and annis in our inventory!

Relying too heavily on decrep might be tough. The real secret to the build is the slow target. Maybe try a kelpies snare instead if you're using an A2 merc
am playing SSF and dont have full tals set, do you think its necesarry? i do have enigma and nightwings so i can move some items around, not as many skillers either and no torch/anni so ill be lacking alot of skillers.. am i probably better off just making a smiter?
When using this build with Bonehew on the Merc, is it better to do 2 Perfect Skulls for the extra leech, or 2 Shael for the extra attack speed? Does the attack speed (with Tal head) make up for the lost leech or are the skulls just better for the survivability?

Reapers toll, kiras helm orted, guardian angel orted. And fade from treach prebuff and he will eat uber Mephs attacks the convict wont affect him. The other boosted res will help a lot too

Is it feasible to use a cold sorc with more budget gear for ubers? Or is it still recommended to go with a Smiter? The gear for the merc is pretty cheap at least. I guess Bill would also be a great option for a Smiter.
Is the ES blizz sorc recommended for endgame builds? I noticed you had a staff when you showed the 8man torch clips. Wasn’t sure if that was a different build. BTNeanderthals blizz guide says to add hydra but if there’s enough skill for that, with sunder, it makes more sense to me to use ES. It’ll relieve me of need for insight. I’ve been waiting to get on the ladder and want blizz sorc but never did ES. I think this build might be perf for me but wanted to get your take on viability for general use (key farming/ubering/tz/mfing). In my estimation it’d be amazing. Thanks!
I would avoid hydra and definitely run ES. I would guess the guide didn't take into consideration how accessible sunder charms would be. There is no need for hydra when all cold immunities are broken.

Without sunder it would be impossible to break uber baal's cold immunity. You could do ubers with fire without sunder but it would be a very costly build.
Just curious on why only a few skill points into Telekinesis and just a single hard point into ES? It almost seems like you are better off just going pure VIT build. I play in HC so I always transition into an ES Immortal Build, but that usually involves 20 hard points into Telekinesis and 1-10 hard points into ES (80-85% Absorb). Then stacking DR and MDR.
With the amount of + skills I had, es was around 71% absorb. Which is fine for a 1 point investment. As I mentioned in the video I'd probably like to do a respec to get more points into tk but I still need a token
Yea he got 3 hard point into telekinesis thats why he needed to pot alot from dmg. If he respec some dmg away from blizz synergy into telekinesis then he just need mana pot. Sure he does less dmg but its quality of life issue conundrum. You do less dmg but also survive better versus doing more dmg but is a glass cannon. His build is fine in softcore but slightly vulnerable in hardcore. Most hardcore builds are weak but at least viable builds and practical.
I've copied the skills and stats for blizzard energy shield. If I get tagged with ghosts that zap all my mana I insta die. Also against souls when tping through worldstone. Is that just how energy shield plays?
Ive been playing offline, figured out how to copy my items offline on xbox. Ive been copying a mountain of perfect gems and i cant find cold skillers. Ive found almost every kind of skiller except that one, and javs
@@LuckyLuciano6 explain how I can do that offline. From what I've seen my offline chars are offline on PC and offline Xbox separately and the only migration that can happen is for online characters My account is synced and everything

Yes. Just need to use bone prison from marrowwalks and its a cakewalk. Just know that the charges get pretty expensive so you can always repair them with a ral rune and flawed gem
You're meant to find them, just keep at it. I've found about 8 in 20 hrs players 3 200 mf with meteorb. Flayer and andy catacombs got lots of champs so make sure to hit them when they're up.

This is cool and all and it's a good video but most people have ass gear. I been playing way to much for an older guy with a kid even with what I would say is a lot of hours, i have found 0 skillers 0 high runes and not a single tal piece... If you can do it with my gear then i would say the title is relevant. Not trying to take away from your video or accomplishment... Hell i hardly got sets of keys lol,
Dude, day 1 found a jah rune at trav with a find item barb with ny bro and he has 3 kids to take care of.... if you know how to play this game it's not hard to fully gear out that Jah basically get you all of lucky gear tal set is cheap this Ladder..

it is necessary hes stacking slow target + chill from his spells he need to stack them to make ubers attack super slow and be non treatening

I have the same gear except the freaking green Lacquered Plate. I found literally 70% of the unique items and sets but not this one. What a rare drop

Are there any more expensive items you would consider upgrade for the merc?
Can you prebuff your merc with like 12-15 antidote potions like you can a budget smiter?

Hydra is really bad.
If you dont want to run the ES build, you can go full orb with nearly full blizz and cast both.

With energy shield they only zap your mana. Without it, they kill you

Yes. Just need to use bone prison from marrowwalks and its a cakewalk. Just know that the charges get pretty expensive so you can always repair them with a ral rune and flawed gem

Not with Blizzard, there is no way to break uber baal's cold immunity without sunder. You would have to be fire wall.

You're meant to find them, just keep at it. I've found about 8 in 20 hrs players 3 200 mf with meteorb. Flayer and andy catacombs got lots of champs so make sure to hit them when they're up.

This is cool and all and it's a good video but most people have ass gear. I been playing way to much for an older guy with a kid even with what I would say is a lot of hours, i have found 0 skillers 0 high runes and not a single tal piece... If you can do it with my gear then i would say the title is relevant. Not trying to take away from your video or accomplishment... Hell i hardly got sets of keys lol,
