Brian, I love your vids man. Your attention to detail and thought to show every variable of how to fit (and/or) remove items is exemplary no matter what the item your video is detailing. Loved this vid and have to say Alpinestars are onto a massive winner here, with a lid that can be adjusted not only for track/road but also for changes of bikes (race/naked/adventure). Love it. Just wish I had been sharp enough to get one of those awesome red carbon limited number items.☹ Keep up the great vids. 👍👍

Thanks for thr close up look Brian. Looks great and let's be honest once you get into that price point no matter if it's this, Shoei, Arai, AGV, HJC, X-lite, Suomy or anything else, all will have great protection and will be so much more than the average full face street helmet. Oh and good point about the Alpinestars iconic name. That alone will make it a winner, and gives them a chance to honestly say they can now protect Riders from head to toe.
Alpinestars did an excellent job on this helmet, I was very impressed when I rode in it. In all the time I have been doing this I have never seen so much interest in a new helmet model. - Van

I dig it a lot and would get one if it fits my headshape. Shoei does fit me just like you describe, Brian, so I will pull the trigger once they become widely available.

Awesome review as always. Thank you very much. That helmet really looks great, my only complaint is the color of the logos. Bright red on dark red doesn't look too dope in my opinion. White or silver would have been a better choice for my personal taste.
This is the launch limited edition, all the stuff released in Feb 2024 will look different. - Van
I have the Shoei X-SPR Pro (which is the X-15 in the US) which I use exclusively on track. It is a worthwhile upgrade from my X-Spirit 3 (X-14) and I have absolutely no need for anything better, but am still curious to try the AlpineStars R10 as I have the GP Tech v4 suit and Supertech R boots and Supertech gloves. Might as well complete the outfit! It’s a shame they didn’t handle the launch edition sale a bit better. Lots of people were left disappointed, especially here in Australia where we were excluded. But it certainly raised awareness and I guess that was the aim.
When you are selling a product where the demand is 1000 times the supply people are going to be left wanting more for sure. I was lucky enough to get one and ride in it last weekend. We will shoot a ride review this week. - Van

I hope they come out with another red carbon fiber version. I have a red carbon R6 that it would match amazingly with but missed out on the launch edition sadly

If you use the pinlock insert you should not need to remove that plug for a demist. I rode in this helmet last weekend and never pulled the plug (summer AL temps). - Van

Looking forward to release of different pad sizes, visors and different paint schemes. Mine feels super tight. I’ve got over a thousand highway miles on mine; LOTS of ventilation and is loud.
I am going to ride in this at Barber this upcoming weekend. Plan to compare it to the Shoei X-15 and Arai Corsair X. With the level of ventilation I expect this to make some noise. That said I wear ear plugs when I ride so this is a non issue for me. - Van

I was perusing the internets to see if folks were selling them and at no surprise, folks had them on eBay going for $4K-$4.5K. I almost about fell out of my chair. I'm all about spending money, but if they're spending $4K on a helmet...welp, I'll keep it PG on here (y'all know what they are) LOL. Awesome helmet though and will most likely get one to add to the seven I already have, once the prices come back down to earth.
Van, eager to see what you think about when you ride it and how it compares to the X-15, which I also believe is the pinnacle right now (even better than the Pista RR IMO). I have the X-15 and love it!

For anyone that says alpine stars is new to the helmet game. It doesnt matter, the helmet is ece and fim certified. Not easy to achieve, hence the pricetag. I hope the internals are just as high quality and it looks badass. Cant wait for the sick graphics to start coming out for it. Wish i couldve got my hands on one of the limited ones but then again i might be scared to ride hard in it. 😂😂😂

@sportbiketrackgear My head is 58. I fit a CorsairX medium and thus i ordered this helmet in a medium. Do you think this for smaller? Both in HJC Rpha1N and Scorpion R1 i fit a L.
Should i have ordered a large?
I also measure 58cm and wear a medium in each of the helmets you noted. I rode for a couple of days in the Supertech last fall and felt it fit great. It does require a little more effort to put on and take off (especially compared to the Corsair X) but once you have it on the fit is perfect. - Van

I got new releases, red/white size medium exactly same measurement’s as my hjc done around 500miles in it, after 40/hour it gets painful on the temple! My hjc is soo snug really confusing! It is very windy helmet too, again my hjc venom is way quieter, am trying my best to put up with it cause it looks unreal but for longer rides am having to use my hjc
We are all shaped differently for sure. I have done a lot of riding in this helmet and get a great fit. Our warehouse manager has one he has done even more riding in and says it is his favorite helmet. I find the venting to be excellent and the noise level to be very acceptable given the ventilation. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear I understand what you saying, but seems to be very 50/50 reviews as already people in comments who have helmet are complaining about the tightness. No way you could wear this helmet without ear plugs cause of wind noise think you are being very kind on that side. Helmet looks great, aerodynamics are great at high speeds my head is locked no side to side rocking. £1,000 price tag… £500 for helmet and £500 for logo alpine star on it, it seems.
Curious to hear about the vision on the upper part (brow), having issues with not being able to see up when tucked with my current helmets (Arai and AGV): Any opinion since you rode in it?
I found the field of vision to be wide open with the adjustment as it came from the factory. With this helmet if you find any obstruction of vision while in the tuck at the brow all you have to do is adjust the top pad like we show you in this video and it will open up quite a bit. - Van

I would expect them to produce a colorway that is either identical or very close to the launch edition. We will share more details as they come available. - Van
I use an arai rx7v and that suits my head shape, will this helmet be suit as well?
The interior shape is pretty similar IMO. The biggest difference is the Alpinestars requires more effort to put on and take off. This also give you a more secure fit. - Van

Why the EPS looks very low quality?
That EPS just like a cheap helmet.
Having taken apart literally hundreds of helmets I disagree with that 100%. The EPS looks like that from pretty much any other quality helmet I have handled. - Van

Yes you will be able to install that in this helmet no worries. - Van
Is it too much to ask to talk about comparitive sizing when talking about fitment?
This helmet has an intermediate oval interior shape (most common) and fits true to size. It requires a little more effort to put on and take off which makes the fit of the helmet very secure. I would say the fit of this helmet is very close to that of the Shoei X-15. - Van
Does it have cut outs for speakers?
Yes it has large pockets that should accommodate pretty much any speaker. - Van

I have a Pista and Corsa and liked them both. Having ridden in this one now I would say I prefer the Supertech. - Van

We did a post ride review of this helmet as well. The helmet is pretty quiet, especially given how well it vents. As for the price this is just what premium helmets cost in 2024 my friend. - Van

IMO you will be happy with either one (I am). If you prefer the look of one over the other that is the one you should buy. The performance of this helmet is amazing, I rode in it last weekend. - Van

This is about .3lbs lighter than others in the same category. You can only make a helmet so light before you lose the protective properties that are the whole point you are wearing it in the first place. - Van

There are only so many factories that produce helmets in the world, many are in China. Alpinestars is using a factory in China and the quality is excellent. I was able to ride in this for two days last weekend, we will shoot a ride review this week. - Van

That is because the Pinlock works very well. If you want to prevent fog this is still the best solution. - Van
Okay makes sense. Alpine star cherry picked their launch edition helmets to big influencers and businesses to spread more attention to it. Smart.. but fucked, never gave the regular people a chance.
I know several people who were able to buy one when it was dropped. There were only 200 helmets in total, it would not take very long for these to all sell out. The full production release will be early 24. - Van

When are you guys expecting alpinestar to release this helmet? I ordered mine from you 7 weeks ago? Just curious.
We ordered almost 100 when the window opened to order and were told they would be here a couple of weeks ago. (We literally had one of the first orders in Parts Unlimited) To date we have received 3 helmets to the best of my knowledge. I have been in contact with upper management at Parts and have to say their follow up leaves a lot to be desired.
You have my personal apology for this and we will issue a refund if you would like. If you want the helmet it would be best to keep your place in line. - Van
