Older jet content! Great way to start my day, if you can do some 2v2 engagements in the mig vs the sabre with real people eventually that would be awesome. But do the content that makes you happy! Thanks for uploading.
Hey GS, content idea for you. All these planes you fly and demo are super fun to watch, but I don’t understand how you know if a plane is a 2C vs 1C fighter. Like this video… I had no idea the mig was a better 2C fighter… how would I know that? 🤷♂️ My thinking is, make an “If than” diagram For all the modules. For example, you’re in the F15 and you come up against a 29. So in this case you do X… make a master class video about the f15 for each opponent and best way to fight BFM. Repeat for all the big modules. See what I’m saying? I’d be happy to do a collaboration with y’a to make it work. But I think it could give you a decent road map for a bunch of videos and keep all the great content coming 😊
If you want to know more about the fight between these two jets I highly recommend the book "mig alley". It directly goes into allied soviet and Chinese recordes and it gives a great accounting from both perspective and incredible dog fight stories and a deep dive on each plane's development. Anyways love the content personally would like to see you in the Saber again in this fight but great content.
Reading MiG alley has been on my to do list for 6 years now. Thanks for the reminder, time to finally start. I always think of them as 50's jets. But it always surprises me that the MiG and Saber first flew in -47 and -49 respectively. They were pretty damn advanced for their time.
At the Sacramento capitol airshow they actually had a real dogfight like this between a restored f86 and mig 15. It was awesome watching them fly overhead
You know you were at the limits of the flight envelope when your jet comes home with grass stains. Great video, great dogfight! Lots of skill on both sides, and these two jets are an iconic rivalry. More similar than Mario and Luigi.
One of my favorite air battles my Dad was in a air force police during Korea he never flew but he guarded the pilots and aircraft I had all the model planes from that era when I was a kid that he bought for me and explained their abilities I’ve been into aircraft ever since and absolutely love your and longshot videos thanks.

This was an awesome match-up, and perfect follow-up to the previous dogfight with the F-15 and J-11! Also, time to see the MiG-15 square up against the A-10, both got powerful cannons, different applications..
J 11 is a second generation fighter and F 15 is third generation fighter is a amazing but only in the dog fight F 15 VS J 11 is F 15 is most advantage to J 11
I love your content man its always interesting and random and i like how you explain stuff that’s so complex and you make it simple, Keep making good content
Yes Russia had 2( about 26 pilots in total that fluctuated due to rotation and losses) squadrons of pilots rotating through Korea to give them combat experience. It's confirmed that many Russian pilots were aces with WW2 experience fighting 262s in La 5/7 and Yaks. Quite a few Russian pilots have included there service in Korea in translated memoirs. source:Sergei Kramarenko's memoir of a fighter pilot in WW2 and Korea. 13 kills-Korea 7-WW2 4th highest scoring ace in Korea.
Great video once again, Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every day. I can't wait to build a flight sim setup of my own one day. This generation of airplane dogfighting is always so fun to watch.
The reason for the MiG-15's lack of control at higher speed is because it didn't have hydraulically powered controls. The air gets thicker the faster you go, and there's a point that the human body just isn't strong enough to pull against it.
Even though I’ve never played this… I def. Appreciate the arrows and explanations of what’s going on, on the control panel. Adds to the video for dummies such as myself, that just enjoy watching these scenarios play out, yet don’t know what the hell you’re talking about 75% of the time😂✌️
So I enjoy the MiG-15 vs F-86 Sabre videos quite a bit. One reason is because the F-86 is just so damned sexy to look at. I frankly cannot decide if the MiG-15 is beautiful or kind of ugly...
Not on DCS but I do find your videos entertaining. Any way you can do a F-4 Phantom II vid? I know they didn’t come equipped with guns until later in Vietnam. An F4 v MiG 21 battle would be cool to watch
I am visiting my father he is a aircraft mechanic. There is a mig 15 and mig 21 setting right next to his shop. There someones private aircraft. Been setting there for years. Its henderson AZ
I'm a War Thunder main player and I love my MiG 15bis and MiG 17. I love MiGs in general because they're truly challenging. Great fight. Even in War Thunder, I fly the Bis and 17 mostly in the vertical or rate if I'm facing a F86F Sabre. If it's the A-5, F-40, CL13B I have to be cautious because of the slightly larger wings with the leading edge slats. I believe the Sabre variant in DCS is the F86F-25 but correct me if I'm wrong. You never wanna be forced into a 1 cirlce in the 15 Bis especially at high speeds due to the compression / control surface lock up. The F Sabre's have a pretty strong engine so the thrust to weight is somewhat more comparable to the 15Bis but you never know if the pilots are skilled. Whenever I get into DCS, I'll probably get the MiG 15 first or at least that'll be my first cold war era module.
Hoping you and Longshot will start doing your 2 morons content again. Really funny 💩, you two crack me up! You’re like two 12 year olds playing together! 😂👍
I’ve been watching your videos religiously, they’re a really fun mix of entertainment and information. I know very little about DCS, but is there an F4 Phantom module/mod? I grew up watching that tacky History Channel show “Dogfights”, and the episode on Operation Bolo was my favorite. I’d love to see some F4-Mig21 scenarios (and bonus points for differential thrust in the phantom lol)
Good stuff in these two recent Korean Jet videos. I was hoping this one would be an aircraft swap with you flying the F86. Got one of those in the queue?
Gee the brits would have been spewing they gifted the soviets the engin that was shooting their and US pilots couple of years later. Fun fact, the F9F Panther also use the same engine built under licence.

This would be amazing!
This would be amazing!
This would be amazing!
Even better, if GS can get 8 guys together they could do full flight vs full flight (4v4).
I would love to see this (Growling, please) (*This would be amazing!*)
Sabre: “Ah, there you are old friend. I just had the strangest dream where I was in a 1v1 fight against a plane from the future…”
MiG: “You too?”
Just started my GS membership! Thanks for everything you do GS! Just strengthens my love for military aviation.
Thank you for supporting the channel goes a long way to keeping the content flowing around here, Much Love.

Gloster Meteor vs Me262

Would be interesting to see a BVR fight between some older interceptors. Something like the F-104.
Attempt the unlikely, beat the Mig 21 with the F-104.
The MiG-15 has an airbrake. It's very useful. I have used the airbrake multiple times during dogfights and my kill rate against a sabre is about 75%.
in DCS or War Thunder ?

I love these MiG15 videos, that 37mm killshot sooooo satisfying 😆
it would be really cool to see a 2 v 2 korea era fight. The dynamics would be totally different than the other fights.
That first fight was one of my favourites in a while. Keep the Korean war dogfights coming!! Seeing a Tacview would also be cool
I think it could be interesting if you swapped planes at some point, just to eliminate the "pilot skills" factor. nice video btw ;)
Wouldn't it eliminate the "better plane" factor instead ?
Exactly, I would like to see this fight with the aircraft swapped but appreciate seeing it as-is too
F-4 and Sabre pilots described the Mig-15's 27mm as "flaming golf balls" and 37mm as "flaming tennis balls to avoid at all costs"
Nice seeing you doing some older jet merges. Good Job.
Canadair Saber 6 and the CAC Sabre would be interesting additions. Both have another 1500 LBs of thrust.
The F86 is such a good looking aircraft.
Aesthetically one of my absolute favorites.
I do like a Korean era dogfight. Very refreshing.
13th attempt :> Dassault Rafale against F-14b Tomcat
"if you find yourself in a scissor situation..."
i havent yet but im keeping my hopes up.
Damn that 37mm is brutal.

Day 8 of asking for the F9F panther vs Mig 15’s
Based on the Lieutenant Royce Williams story where he fought 6 mig 15’s alone in his very inferior F9F
Korean War Era dogfights are my favorite
lets gooooooo i miss these fights, they were some of the first things i saw of DCS back in the day
Whoa what a coincidence. I got to see this dogfight at an airshow this past weekend!
Couldn’t be more hooked. Keep up the great work!
Love your Vids GS 😍
Please make a video on SU 30MKI with I Derby ER Fox 3 vs JF 17 / J 11
next video suggestion Mirage 2000 vs SU 27 or mirage vs mig 27 fulcrum

Love it! Haven't heard or seen anything about the saber in years
My favourite thing about '50s jets is that they're basically just a jet engine with guns and wings with a pilot strapped in like a bull rider lol
37mm was standard tank armament a little over a decade before Korea.
How technology flies.
So I enjoy the MiG-15 vs F-86 Sabre videos quite a bit. One reason is because the F-86 is just so damned sexy to look at. I frankly cannot decide if the MiG-15 is beautiful or kind of ugly...
Always love these videos on the forgotten war!
Sabre and mig 15 don’t get enough love, they are both really great aircraft and I wish they got more love
I love this early guns-only era of the jet age. Thanks!
Very enjoyable, thank you for the great content.
Your flying was very "Ice Man" esk GS. Patiently waiting, wearing them down and then striking.
37 mm is LITERALLY artillery-- it was also one of the first tank rounds.
I was looking for this just an hour ago lmao !!! Thanks
Do you ever run into generic IFE's (in flight emergencies) in DCS? I'd like to see some of those!
The perfect match
Day 2 : mig31 with r37m vsf22!

Love the content! You’re a trooper l, beast mode even under the weather 🙏.

Aww...aww...awww here it goes!
I would love to see a fight between the A-4 and both of these aircrafts

My neighbor was a Korean war F-86 pilot. He never got any kills, but he said it was a fantastic little fighter. Sadly, he passed away recently.
Magnificent beasts. Great video!
Analogue's so much more satisfying.
Love your content bro please do 1v1 dogfight between F-22 and Chengdu J-20
Good to see quality opponents like Shotgun on the channel again
9:26 Nice sentiment there
In these aircraft, it all comes down to the pilot. Great fight

When that Nudelman N37 hit home I felt the concussion from here 🌏 🇦🇺
9:20 cuz USA propped up Germany and Japan against "Heartland". The west was never friends with Russia (Poland, Sweeden, France, Turkey etc)
Please take an older jet with cannons up against a formation of bombers!

Makes sense these jets look similar. They have a common ancestor in the Ta-183.

If everyone was friends, we wouldn't have all these awesome jets to fight each other in DCS...
I want some WW2 action!
The explosion is so big it’s not even modeled very well. It just looks absurd and cartoonish which makes it all the more enjoyable.

Love your flying GS, but I gotta admit, as a Yankee, I was srsly rooting for the F-86 driver. : p
Unfortunately we wouldn't have all these cool planes if everyone was friends :'(
I swear the muzzle blast could’ve knocked his wing off in that one pass
It would be cool to see the F-35 in some BVR engagements, against no aircraft in particular really
15 with the 37 vs some bombers or transports would be awesome.
Good stuff in these two recent Korean Jet videos. I was hoping this one would be an aircraft swap with you flying the F86. Got one of those in the queue?
shot that cockpit on the second fight, brutal with the 37
korean era dogfights are cool and all but we need vietnam era dogfights!
Could we see you in the Sabre again? I just bought the module and am struggling.
Two of my favourite planes, doing what they do best.
The Korean era fighters just look so cool
beautiful fight. loved it
37mm is awesome, scary and hilarious all in one package.
I wonder how many hits a B-29 could take before falling out of the sky.?
Like poppin popcorn that 37mm.

Continuing with the theme of korean war era dogfights i'd love to see a video featuring the new F-100 Super Sabre mod
If you had missed him in the second round I don't think he would have been able to pull out of that rate of descent.
Sadly I watched a pilot crashing a mig crash at el toro marine base. He couldn't complete a loop and scraped the runway . 😢
