Very useful video - good that you showed the whole job from the start, including how to remove the internal handle, all the way to the end ! Cheers for posting it.
@@TheSilverFoxDoesStuff Yes, they're pretty flimsy - I think I've now done just about every door in the van, the side door being the last - I wasn't sure how to get the internal handle off.... Cheers PW
That is really useful thanks , my drivers door handle is bust and I sent to eBay for the bag of bits but till now I w as reluctant to tackle the job , couldn’t find any helpful videos about it , also live on Skye where it’s always raining ☔️ so now first opportunity I shall have a crack at it , cheers
Brilliant, I hope you get it sorted. These handles are a pain in the bottom. This is the third one that we have put on, and all from different companies. It’s just a really bad design. Oooh you live on Skye, that sounds fantastic. Is it as good as I imagine?
@@TheSilverFoxDoesStuff It depends mate , I’m from Wooler originally, lived in Newcastle and Blyth for many years , been here 16 yrs , this is the start of our winter , we don’t have autumn , then the gales come weeks of 80 +mph and horizontal rain , if you manage 2 winters you’re here to stay . Nearest supermarket ( Coop ) is 35 miles away as is the pub if you can afford the prices 😂 We go to Inverness once in a while for a big shop ( 130 mls) but we look out the front across the Minch to North Uist and Harris 👀 Someone has to 😂 look up my postcode IV558WY . I’ve ordered some more door handle bits and will be brave and tackle the job first fine day , thanks again
Had the same problem with my 2011 vauxhall movano from new and within the first few months, replaced under warranty and replaced numerous times since. The side door on this van is very heavy when opening and closing and the door handles are not robust enough to take the weight, poor design inferior to my previous vivaro 🤷♀️
I've just finished the backdoor of my Renault master Mk3, very similar job, the new handle is still jumping off the mechanism, very annoying. I'm just wondering if there's some way of fixing the too parts together with a moveable strap somehow. Would appear to be a common fault with Renaults.
Hi there, thanks for watching. It must be a massive problem. I’m being so gentle when I open the sliding door these days. If you find a solution, please let me know ☺️
Do you have the child lock on ? Open the door from the outside, and it’s a small lever/switch located on the end of the door. This happened to me. It accidentally gets moved into the wrong position when you’re getting in and out.

You’re very welcome, I hope it helped you. It’s a poor design, and they just keep breaking.
Thanks for watching.

@@wolfysmith4752 Thankfully it's only the side door that has gone on mine. Three times though lol

I know, I’m scared to open it. I only use it to unlock the door, then put my fingers in the gap and pull it open.

My internal handle won't open the door. Any ideas on what might be the problem?
