It was more clog stepping than tap, though she was using the single tap buckle on her boots instead of a clogger's double tap. It makes for an interesting sound, I have to say. I clogged for about 15 years and only wanted to say something about it bc I actually recognized the step sequences for once. Clog stepping is rooted in old country music, so it definitely fits. And brings back memories, lol.
The subtlety & discretion of an Earl Scruggs & Loretta Lynn to voice opposition just makes me proud to be a son of the South. I hope the Good Lord is enjoying your music. BTW, kudos to PMJ. More of these, please. Thank you.
I don't know why, but all the ladies with their classic instruments in the country garb while drum girl is in quiet punk and the piano guy is in a suit cracks me up 😂 beautiful mesh
@@onlyfromadistance7326 I was under the impression that you could fiddle on a violin and that it's just a method of playing. Could you please clear this up for me?
I am so used to how Loretta sang it, that this threw me for a curve for a second, but WOW that was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'all were just spectacular!!!!!!!!
What an amazing and talented group of women. And I cannot state enough how much I love the fiddle. Something I've absolutely come to love about your country covers (and country in general) is the love of and emphasis of instruments.
So wonderful to see a Loretta Lynn song redone with a modern flourish. I was not fortunate enough to see Loretta in her prime, but this reminds me of the original spirit of the material. PMJ is doing such a great job! Bravo!
Outstanding! I loved the conversion from slow to country music! Every one of the performers on this channel (whether singer or instrument player) are fantastic!
I was unsure this would be up my alley, but I really enjoyed the combination of the piano arrangement with the singing and musical instruments of Kitty Hawk. It made me enjoy/appreciate a song I might not have normally gravitated towards.
Is it a Steinway or not? When it comes down to it, that's what counts. It's amazing the talent that the piano can pull together. The lead singer pulls it together and she owns it all. She's really great.
Don't let the comments get to you. Country and bluegrass are the same genre to people who don't know better. What counts is that, once again, you're perfect. Although Scott - you're the pumpkin in the rose bush on this one, dude.
As someone who played the violin for years in my school's orchestra, I can say that I'm still thoroughly disappointed we didn't learn how to fiddle like that. Props to all of them but especially the violinist given that it's super hard to play a violin when you aren't in a normal posture (holding the violin at a noticeable downward angle like a lot of fiddle players do)
omg the real star of this video is the fiddle/tap dancer.... she not only stole the show but her harmonies and all other sorts of things stood out.. give this woman her own video at the bare minimum
I kind of view this song as a stronger, more confident lady's response to "Jolene". :D Instead of begging Jolene not to take her man, this lady just goes "OH H**L NO, B***H!" :D Love it! And this cover of it.
Just because you astrix a letter doesn't negate the curse itself...if your gonna cuss atleast be adult enough to write it out otherwise don't speak like that
Not sure what happened in Season 2 but can we all thumbs up for the fact that they stopped using the Michael Bay action camera and stopped pointing 8 billion watt light bulbs at the talent? That's a win in my book.
I kind of want KittyHawk to come back to PMJ but do some covers of songs that aren't already Country... but the lyrics would make you second guess it. I don't think PMJ is at it's peak until it covers a song in an old style outside of the genre that somehow feels like it belongs there. (this is a Country band covering a Country song, the fun of PMJ is hearing Country bands covering Bubblegum Pop like its the 40s)
Bear with me pmj fans. I am being fully serious and I'm also a fan. I want pmj to do an ICP song with class, taste, and a beat and voice you can fall in love with. when it comes to class these people can do the impossible and I really think it would be worth doing.
@@postmodernjukebox I can't believe you read my comment. 🤩 If by some miracle you read this as well and do an ICP work please make it from one of their older albums. You guys are amazing thanks for some great music.
Great! They're all amazing, of course the fiddle player is, but the bass player is also really good! She has the right "anticipation" necessary for bluegrass, if you play bass and try to play with a bluegrass band you'll realize what I'm talking about (I did it myself). Really great!
I'm from Nashville, where we are protective of Loretta. This cover was adorable.
That fiddler is singing, fiddlin', & tapping all at once, in cowboy boots no less! #CoordinationGoals This life long klutz is jealous!
Ref: Are you familiar w/ John Hartford ??? (RIP) ... she is !!!

I'm glad we finally unlocked the drum some time ago. But now I'm really liking the new skins we unlocked for the drummer and bass.
The violin lady is perfect
She nearly had liftoff. Wow.
Look her name up on UA-cam and watch her other performances. She's extremely talented.
Violin?
I saw drums, a peeyana, a cello, a geetar, and a fiddle.
But no violin. ;)
Stephen Olan cello? You mean bass
@@stephenolan5539 ahh youre right partner. That fiddle stick lady is perfect
I held my breath most of the video, afraid the violinist was going to trip on her violin cord. Whew, I shoulda known she was a ... PROFESSIONAL!
...( it's called a "fiddle")...
You are aware its not live right? ;-)
@@usulsk I can tell you, its live ;)
@@onlyfromadistance7326 I was under the impression that you could fiddle on a violin and that it's just a method of playing. Could you please clear this up for me?
The difference is, a violin has strings, and a fiddle's got strangs.
Loretta has left us today. Nice work on this.
It may viral.

Congrats! A girl drummer in a video of PMJ!
...a long time coming. Good.
Heck we can actually see a drummer too. They’re normally hidden.
@@fierygal58Yes
And drinking whiskey at the beginning. Maybe that's why the drummers are hidden.
Yeah, Kayleigh Moyer is dope!
Outstanding! I loved the conversion from slow to country music! Every one of the performers on this channel (whether singer or instrument player) are fantastic!
it was already a country song... it was just another rendition... not a style shift. haha
I was unsure this would be up my alley, but I really enjoyed the combination of the piano arrangement with the singing and musical instruments of Kitty Hawk. It made me enjoy/appreciate a song I might not have normally gravitated towards.
Holy goodness! The violinist is absolutely mesmerizing
She's a fiddle player, not a violinist.
HHOW are these gals singin so professionally while playing instruments like that??? AND one of them is TAP DANCING TOO???
Uhh, the same way guys do.
And it's called step dancing. Tap is different.
Where does Scot Bradlee keep finding such talented (and attractive) ladies for PMJ?
Brilliant PMJ, all girl bands make it look easy and fun.
Fantastic rendition of Loretta Lynn's classic! Their vocals are phenomenal!

She sings, she plays fiddle, she step dances while playing, and she is beautiful. An American Gunhilde!!
If you were my woman you would not have nothing to worry about any other lady.
I love the cover!
Strangely awesome! Killer harmonies at the end.
Popped up in my feed today, great cover! RIP Loretta😢
Rest In Peace Miss Loretta Lynn
Deserves more views. Excellent performance.
Yup!.. Sure Is Country ♥
All hat, no cattle.
Came to say that it's already a great country song, but the clogging fiddler made me happy. Gave me middle school flashbacks!
The fiddle player is excellent.
She's not the one I'd have guessed I'd be crushing on after watching the video yet she is. :)
Those are some real shit-kickin country dance steps, authentic.
You guys are on a roll lately! Love this!
I think I just fell in love. But with which one? WOW.
You guys are All So awsome! Its So refreshing to see ya'll transforming a song to something beyond this world!! Love from greece!! 🇬🇷❤️❤️❤️
This is SUPER. I could enjoy this music all night.
They're back! More!
Jesus christ. I think I'm in love with the piano man

Loretta would be proud! Luv it!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
This upright bass looks hard
Damn!!! These ladies are incredibly talented and should do an album. This is great!!!
Unique and likable arrangement. Compares Very favorable to the original. Best PMJ song of late.
omg the real star of this video is the fiddle/tap dancer.... she not only stole the show but her harmonies and all other sorts of things stood out.. give this woman her own video at the bare minimum
Haven't enjoyed this season of jukebox as much as the last one, but this was mega.
This is fantastic!! You have such talented, versatile musicians Scott, wonderful, Love, Dorrie
Annie Bosko is the complete package. Loved her on Complicated. Loved her here.
Gifted Musicians + Brilliant Lyrics = Perfection
Just found this channel and lost 5 hours of my day listening to their collection
Brilliant video, very enjoyable. Well done Scott and the team.
I don't know how I came across your group, but let me tell you. You got a huge fan here. I love style, music, dancing, all of it. Bravo
WOW! Luv what you all are doin’!!!
Glad to be finding more!
HOOOOOO-WE That was some mighty fine pickin & singin! Thumbs up everybody who thinks Scott should learn to play the pedal steel!
I'm in love with the violoniste !!! Bravo !!! to all of you !!! CHeers !!!
Fantastic Song! I love Loretta Lynn wonder if she heard it and what she thought? I love this version.
Love, Love, Love their harmonizing........
This kind of country need to come back this is bad ass!! Nowadays all we have is "she got a body like a back road" -_-
This is awesome!
Wow, that's brilliant.

Benur Anouk I’m not saying it makes any difference
I love the bassists and fiddle players boots! The should do more old country & western stuff! 🤩
That lassie on the fiddle could face down the devil.
Old country on PMJ - go !
First time I clapped my hands for a UA-cam video! Well done!!!
Miss Loretta would be proud. So would the late, great John Hartford. Well done, ladies.
Wow, bring it on home!
So talented to sing any song from any era, yee haw
Finally... a song I’m familiar with. Great!
AMAZING! Beautiful, strong amazing women
The drummer is having waaaaaay too much fun
This was freaking awesome!!
Rest now, Loretta. You will be missed.
Love the dress and the hat!
Can they come and play for my birthday party? Terrific!
4 hot ladies and a pianist. Awesome. Thanks

one thing i'll say for pMJ, the piano is always in tune 90pc of the time.
