    it's smaller than I had imagined. I like it's neo-gothic-brutalist structure, and also the way the sunlight comes in through the windows.

      Yes, the brutal style is meant to represent basalt columns.

      Yes it's meant to resemble trap rock, which is found in many places in Iceland

      Yes I already went to the ticket sale. Anyone else reading this be aware there is an entrance fee to go up the tower.

    Thanks. I have been intruiged by this church for years. I didn't like the interior, its very austere and bland inside, I would even go so far as to say dystopian. I know its a result of the protestant iconoclastic ideology but the highlight is the fake stain glassed window.
