- Gate's Laboratory from Mega Man X6 for the Sony Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only. Ultimate Armor (Hover), Jumper Part equipped.
Gate's first stage immediately presents us with a stage element, or design, that is impassable by conventional means. By this, I mean standard armor and maneuvers will not get X over these spiked walls. Even the Ultimate Armor's Nova Strike proves unusable here- it will certainly propel X up and over the wall, but it will also drive him directly into the spiked walls beyond, as it is not possible to stop the Nova Strike short in mid-air. X will need either the Shadow Armor, which allows X to tread freely on spikes, or the Jumper Part. The Jumper Part simply grants the player a higher jump. However, even that alone will not suffice. Blizzard Wolfang's Ice Burst must also be used in combination with the Jumper Part to reach this particular height. Note playing as Zero presents other options I won't discuss here.
The remainder of the stage is fairly typical, however constrictive. Most corridors are narrow and sometimes congested with clusters of enemies. This limited space can restrict movement and will present some awkward angles for progression and targeting mavericks.
Nightmare Mother attacks via two separate animate entities, each sharing half the total health meter. It will rotate around the room, in either direction, making three passes. Note the Nightmare is invulnerable to damage during this phase. After three passes, one or both will make a single move- either up, down, left or right- to randomize the arrangement. Finally, an eye will then emerge from each entity, presenting a damageable target. These eyes are capable of several attacks including lightning bolts, energy projectiles that continue along the floor, and multiple flame-based attacks. After exposing themselves momentarily to pull off their attack, each eye will then retreat to the Nightmare and the cycle repeats. Also, Nightmare Mother's movements will become noticeably faster once it's health depletes below half. Metal Anchor/Rakukojin is Nightmare Mother's weakness.

Check out hideofbeast UA-cam channel he actually runs thru this with the enhancement jump on him tho on xtreme without armor and no damage.

Very, very well done. I never thought I'd see the day I could see Nightmare Mother beaten without taking any damage and without spamming Nova Strike (which was my initial reaction to seeing U. Armour being used). Your reaction timing for dodging NM as it rotates below half health is amazing. I can hardly beat NM on Xtreme with Shock Buffer and Hyper Dash equipped. Kudos for making it through the stage and boss without a single point of damage, Sliider!
By the way, do you equip any of the custom parts aside from Jumper? It'd be great if you put that info into your description.
thank you very much! yeah i decided to use the Ultimate Armor in X6 solely for its hover ability, which ive learned to use pretty effectively from X4 and X5. but im not using the Nova Strike at all, sticking with buster only ofcourse. no other custom parts were equipped, and im definitely taking your advice by adding that to the description. thanks again.

Yeah, it definitely is. I just played through this stage, and that very first part with the spikes got so difficult, I had to turn on the Rookie Hunter mode just for that part alone (I was playing on Legacy Collection, just to clarify that).

Always looking old gameplays of good games. I did this mission with X no armors, but never qoth no damage. That's insane, good game.
Oh this stage I know it must had been a pain to do no damage all of those enemies mashed into one spot it is complete chaos. Ah the Nightmare Mother I can`t see how you got this no damage the lightning bolt attack is very hard for me to predict how did you learn to dodge it? Do the bolts shoot lightning down at random or is the location fixed?

Damn I needed to use my savegames just to get this level beat and recorded without dying. Just when you think beating the robotmasters is such a big achievement you really show some mad skills here. Nah, I think X3 and X5 share that title. X6 is good outside a small handful of low points like this boss and the heatnix stage.
X8 is the worst period. Every level is a stupid gimmick. The jellyfish level was designed by an asshole. Bosses can insta-kill

What do you mean "not the stage?!"
The walls in the beginning of the stage are impossible to get over without Ice Burst + Hyperjump or a specific Armor (and even then said Armor has to be changed or a jump in Gate 2 is impossible.), The enemies are all jammed in one area for no reason (like Sigma 1 from X1), the lava gimmick just comes and goes, and on top of that, the Nightmare Mother. Gate's Lab is a clusterfuck even on Normal. Can't even stick to one gimmick, other than the lasers.
@@Cinko420 could be easy with the shadow amor but nightmare mother is the reaaon why I hated this game, Gate is very easy next to nightmare mother, fuck this boss

Shadow Armor makes that one jump in Gate 2 impossible though.
I agree that Nightmare Mother is a hell spawn boss though.
