If you're using the driver for midrange frequencies, say 300 Hz to 3 kHz First thing you should be looking for is the sensitivity at that desired frequency, I noticed that the third one in the blue box APSL-6 had 91dB sensitivity unless you look at the spec sheet it depends where that peak was plotted, but just suppose it was flat in that frequency range we need and the other speaker next to it APMB-6-B shows 99dB again depends where that SPL (sound pressure level) was plotted, although the difference is 8dB just suppose it was only 6dB, every 3 dB is doubling (or halving) the output so in simple terms that means if you was to drive the first one to 100 watts (RMS) you would only require 25 watts (RMS) to have the same output on the APMB-6-B, always look at the spec sheet, same goes for your bass driver, no good having a sub or bass with only 90 dB sensitivity (based on 1 watt @ 1 meter) say @ 50Hz even though it can handle 4,000 watts RMS when a quality driver that maybe 99 dB only requires 500 watts for the same SPL, just think of the saving on your power supply.

I have a question I want to run some audio pipe 8's in my 2004 BMW 325i I wanna do three. What's a good and way to make them sound good? I only can get 6.5 in the rear deck I wanted to do 2 in between them but I don't know. Any suggestions?

Yeah. You can bridge them just like another other speaker. They normally come in 4 ohm and 8 ohms.

Pioneer TS-A6995R vs Morel Tempo 6 coax 6x9 vs JBL GTO 938 6x9
What's your opinion on these e speakers? I'm trying to choose what to put in my car.

I had pioneers for only a year and had to replace 2 of them because the surround is a very thin rubber that gets really loose when it's hot outside. The jbl's I have heard before, they sounds decent. Not to much mid base though. Same with the pioneers, they have good highs, but lack mid bass.

I have Morel speakers and they really are great speakers. I do like DLS and Hybrid Audio, but Morel are still my favorites.
Pioneer speakers and subs are laughable, and JBL ... owned loads of their stuff, but its average at best!

Tsm650pro tsm800pro and tsb400pro are the only good pioneers.

***** The only good stuff that comes from Pioneer is their DJ stuff, Decks Mixers etc. The Pro market is sown up by the likes of Eminence, B&C, 18Sound, Failtal, who do far better Pro gear than Pioneer.
Spend some time on Alibaba and you'll see a lot of recognisable gear!!

for 90$? There's no better speakers for 90$ as far as I'm concerned.

These are PA speakers for people on a budget! For PA speakers in-car, look into traditional PA brands the likes of Ciare, 18sound, Faital Pro and B&C speakers.

What size alternator would be best for a 4000 watt rms system

Watts = amps x voltage therefore 4000 watts use 278 amps at 14.4 volts so I'd recommend at least a 340 amp alternator

@@Floridascooterboys What happens if his alternator only puts out 65 amps?
There will be no way to charge that battery bank while you're driving.
The electricity has to come from somewhere.
