@@nottoscale6529 thanks for the reply. So you pained directly onto bare plastic? I did that a few times but perhaps because my skill level wasn’t sufficient so I ended up using too much of the thinner and ruining the plastic.
@@nottoscale6529 From my understanding and experience, enamel thinner can make Bandai plastic very brittle. Generally speaking, it shouldn't be a problem if you're using it on surface area. But what I did (wrong) was I used too much of it (as weathering wash) near the joints, which ended up breaking them. That's why I'm nervous using too much enamel thinner on bare plastic. But I'm sure that if one is skilful enough (like you in the video), it shouldn't be a problem.
Very nice weathering! Looks very cool. Have you ever tried the AK weathering pencils? I weathered (quite heavily), my RX-78-2 1/100 ver Ka with such pencils and I was pretty happy with them. You may want to check the video.
The crack on the minute 7:00 was produced by the enamel or the thinner, or was it something else? I say this because I like this technique and I usually pannel line with Tamiya Accent Color BUT sometimes it generates cracks and breaks pieces. Just to know, anyways the model looks great and you can always say it is damage from battling : P
this technic is almost the same style when painting Warhammer....miss those days painting, maybe I should try it again....can the PG version use this technic too?

Nice job I like how you use the tamiya weather kitt at the end... it's important to do that last it's a wax base product.
Epic video. However, do you clear coat the kit before weathering and then top coat after for the final result?
I might just do this to my same kit instead of a whole paint job. This is my favorite kit, so i might test my skills on another before i try that one.
amazing, how does this person get away with not cracking the plastic? I'm in awe.
Unless he gave the model a clear coat first.
Mine look like they have been thru major battles just from being built! 🤣 Well done! 👏🏾👏🏾
hahaha
I have an HG kit of this model. I'd like to try this technique. Only I'll use acrylics.
really useful. only just getting into Gunpla and don't really want to fork out for airbrush just yet plus don't have the space for it. Thanks.
Prepare to find the love of your life!
@@Unizakugaming74 I already have and her name is kshatriya..... but she is playing hard to get!!
Epic video man, thank you so much for the inspiration to customize my Gundam!
Take Me Out to the Ball Game was an odd choice, looks great though
I saw a crack underneath it's torso.. left side.
Do you put a top coat on after to protect the weathering or does that ruin the effect?
looks great 🥰
Very cool work thanks for sharing! What kind of topcoat did you use before the panel line wash?
I use only color enamel paint

It was caused by my faulty assembly.

Do you topcoat then weather?
Hi, nice video bro! But wondering. You top coat first or weathering first, thanks bro
Weathering first sir. But you can coating first.

great video. what does the sponge effect do? i am new to this.
Use a sponge to stamp on dry acrylic paint.
The amsterdam acrylic paint, what is the color name/color code bro?
At 7:56
It's brand. You can use other brand.
Looks great but isn't the thinner toxic and doesn't it make the plastic brittle? Don't want to see you on here painting with nubs my man.
Tamiya thinner X-20.
No make the plastic brittle
dont use enamel after assembled cause the plastic maybe broken !!!!
I've never encountered this problem.
Bonjour a tu utiliser un vernis avant et apres ? Et pour le panel line l’as tu fais avant également?
Use semi gloss before weathering. ☺
