Could you make a video of exactly what you did here but for the other three undergraduate colleges? You could possibly have other students who are in the other 3 undergraduate college talk about how the academics works and how to succeed for there college. Maybe they could do it over zoom or other ways to collaborate. This the type of video I have been looking for Thanks!
Do you have friends on any sports teams like football, basketball, track, etc that you could maybe interview about how they manage playing D1 at Penn while balancing a difficult workload?
From what I’ve heard from friends, some of the bfs classes are pretty good and very thoughtful, but their experiences varied depending on the quality of discussions in class.
Hi! I’m going to be a freshman at Penn in the Fall, and I had some quick questions about the Spanish placement exam. Do you take the test once you get to campus in the fall? If so, is it still possible to sign up for Spanish classes in the first semester? Also just to clarify what you mentioned, doing well on the exam can earn you actual language credit? Thank you so much!
Yeah so over the summer your premajor advisor will contact you and you will register for classes with them. I’m pretty sure before that meeting you take the placement test online and it will tell you what level you test into. I honestly forgot whether it was before or after but I assume it’s before that meeting.
Also to clarify the language requirement is just four semesters of a language but if you do well enough on the placement test you can test out of the language requirement altogether
Go to your dream school. There's not a big difference in academics between schools of this caliber, and fit is most important. Your parents shouldn't be the reason you go to a particular school; it's your education, not theirs.
If you got into Wharton, then I presume you wanna do business in the future. If that's the cause, then you should go to UPenn, but if not, then go to Princeton because Princeton tends to give better aid.
Go with the one you like best. You’re the one that’s going to be spending 4 years there and I don’t think the two are very different academically or from the perspective of an employer more or less hirable so it’s really up to where you want to be for the next 4 years
Wasn't commit date May 1st? And yeah, what the others said, I think academics wise both schools are pretty similar. Pton might be geared towards true academics, and Penn a little more preprofessional oriented.
I don’t understand it completely but I do know that all Wharton students get a Bachelors in Sciences in Economics and can have up to two concentrations (finance, real estate, ect). And their curriculum is called the Leadership Journey where they have 4 main courses that they have to take over the four years. Honestly don’t know much else about the Wharton curriculum. Might have to learn it and make a quick vid about it
Wharton has 11 business fundamental classes + gen ed requirements + business breadth/depth requirements. I’d say it’s a lot more business oriented but you have a ton of flexibility in taking classes outside of Wharton, especially if you have credits coming in!
Yea you can take classes between schools ( if you’re not is Cas you actually have to take some classes like writing seminar in the College). You can also have minors between schools. For example although I haven’t declared my major yet when I do I’m planning on declaring Neuroscience with a minor in Healthcare Management from Wharton .
Sign up for handshake and go to internship fairs. Penn obviously has a bunch of internship opportunities and they are quite abundant. It's competitive depending on what kind of internship you want. The Wharton students all funnel themselves towards McKinsey/ Goldman etc. so on campus recruiting season gets a little stressful if that's what you're aiming for. Otherwise for people like me, it's pretty chill.
I’d say it’s harder to find internship opportunities freshman and sophomore year, so many students go for Penn related internships like GRIP or find it through connections or lucky applications (spreading a wide net). After I’d say it’s still competitive but a lot of companies like to recruit at Penn!!!
You're a G for making this. Too many videos on getting into ivies and not enough videos on how to succeed once you're in them.
god bless you. As an incoming freshmen, I really needed some new Penn videos.
Thank you for this!! Im stuck between 2 schools currently and this video gave me a boost of confidence on how Ill perform at Penn!!
When you just got accepted and this video pops up in your feed.
Mario Gotze lmao it’s a sign
I'm so happy you chose Penn. I've wanted to go forever and you're videos are the best!

Have a UPenn interview coming up and even though I'm not sure if I'll get in, this information is definitely helpful to prepare for it :)

It would be helpful to know what are the similarities between high school academics and college

This is so helpful !
Thankss sm lifesaver
ey you're a god dude ty for this
Do all of the different schools have different general requirements or do they have something like sectors?
Good Video!
are your STEM classes/Penn classes in general graded on a curve? Thank you!
Generally, the stem courses I've taken at Penn are graded on a curve. Most of my non stem courses haven't been graded on a curve
Can AP exams let you test out of the language req without the placement exam?
Do you have any insight on the Benjamin Franklin Integrated Studies Program?
From what I’ve heard from friends, some of the bfs classes are pretty good and very thoughtful, but their experiences varied depending on the quality of discussions in class.

Tmac221 that clears things up thanks!
How are the internship oppurtunities at Penn? Is it competitive?
Also interested in this.
