Chad - that preset is spot on from my perspective, got to be one of best presets I’ve tried, mainly because with your accompanying explanation and how this sounded straight off was about right and that simply inspired me to tweak away. Played via my Variax standard Strat setting into a Catalyst 100 via 4cm utilising just the Cats return and removing the cab block on Helix but even with cab block on it still was good. Many thanks
Great video again. As much as I hate the idea of AI, chat gpt is a great way of finding rigs and how to dial them in too. I'm still waiting for an update where the AI can dial it in for me on the helix, whilst putting the kettle on to make me a brew.
Been listening and enjoying your videos since purchasing the Helix Floor. Off of Line 6 website I downloaded Dumble MC and Dumble Hendrix but can't seem to get any volume in most of the snapshots. Is there a trick to using these presets? They are a little complicated for me to understand. Any help you can give is well appreciated. Bless you for a reply. L. E., Venice FL
Glad you enjoyed the videos! What I'm guessing could be the case is maybe the snapshots were saved with the volume pedal at zero. Sometimes that happens by mistake. Load up a snapshot that is not making any audio and rock the volume pedal back-and-forth see if that changes it. If so just re-save the snapshots with the volume pedal forward.
Hay chad, I've been trying to set up my Helix LT and watching your videos. I play a real Mesa Single Rec in the practice room and have been trying duplicate the sound in my LT best i can for home. I've now noticed the harder i hit the strings the more i get the dry/clean tone from my guitar pushing through the Amp simulation. If i play lightly i have the full simulation. Do have any idea where this is coming from?
Are able to do all of this on a computer ? Or does and proamming have to be done actually on the the helix is self? I'm thinking about buying one today
I pretty much do all of the patch programming on the computer. The helix sits on the floor in my studio, so it's way easier to use hx edit than bend down to the floor to make adjustments. So yes, you can do it all from the computer.
