I want to give a special shout out to all the guys (not FM) that make this stuff possible. Thanks Tony and Surfdado and the guys at Wheels R Us, Vescify, and Floatwheel discords. Much love to all of you. Thanks for showing me this amazing hobby!

      @@SaiyanEuc I preordered my Pint V kit on 8/5 from FloatWheel. It shipped on 8/12 and I got it on 8/24. The crypto part is not bad, It's just setting up Coinbase and moving money in there and follow Tony's instructions closely. If you have a Pint or GT, the V kits are amazing and I HIGHLY recommend them. I have the kits for both my Pint and GT.

    Hell yea. Been riding GTV for nearly three months now, and seeing the old GT's performance in this video made me chuckle. The low speed torque was just atrocious. I ride a lot with my dog in various terrain that his nose takes us, so being able to plow through and over anything comes in handy.

    9:42 something I've learned about nose slides over the years is that if i keep my front foot completely perpendicular to the tire i can always slide much longer and I'm more locked in. Normally my front foot is angled even more than yours, But I noticed when I do slides it works a lot better if i don't angle it at all.

    Do you have any thoughts on max motor current with a GTV and superflux HS? Based on his absolute max, I assume motor current can safely be set to 160a, but I’d love your input.

    • @surfdado
      @surfdado  3 місяці тому

      @@garrettmars756 I sure do have thoughts. Anything above 130A is reckless. When the adv controller first came out Tony was reluctant to let us increase max amps above 100A but we convinced him to let us do 120…
      And don’t be fooled by anecdotes like “xyz ran 160A for 6 months and it’s fine”. Fact is that you’ve eliminated all safety margins so you need a solid portion of luck for it to work out

    Do you know if the bms has the issues that were identified by Mario in his review of the ADV Pro at 10:10 of the linked video? ua-cam.com/video/fLAqDTOQ_ks/v-deo.html
    Also, based on his comment at 4:04, is there a risk that this controller, in delivering more power to the motor, is operating closer to its limits than the stock controller? As a road hardened member of the "anti-nosedive nosedive" club, I want to know that the controller keeping my wheel balanced is robust with lots of margin.
