The crypto part is not bad, It's just setting up Coinbase and moving money in there and follow Tony's instructions closely. If you have a Pint or GT, the V kits are amazing and I HIGHLY recommend them. I have the kits for both my Pint and GT.

Hell yea. Been riding GTV for nearly three months now, and seeing the old GT's performance in this video made me chuckle. The low speed torque was just atrocious. I ride a lot with my dog in various terrain that his nose takes us, so being able to plow through and over anything comes in handy.
Stock board with just GTV kit? I’m still debating on the upgrade. I’m like you and ride a lot of rough trails, and even off trail. Wish i could ride one, but it’s either GTV kit, or GTS

9:42 something I've learned about nose slides over the years is that if i keep my front foot completely perpendicular to the tire i can always slide much longer and I'm more locked in. Normally my front foot is angled even more than yours, But I noticed when I do slides it works a lot better if i don't angle it at all. Anyway, great video!
Can you explain the firmware thing a little more? I'm really curious as to changing the firmware to ADV200 and what difference that makes? Or even how you know it was the "wrong" one? I have the PintXV kit
Is there a technique to getting the battery box lid off? I've removed the screws and still can't seem to get the lid off. Feels like something is still latched inside keeping it from opening.
Do you have any thoughts on max motor current with a GTV and superflux HS? Based on his absolute max, I assume motor current can safely be set to 160a, but I’d love your input.

When the adv controller first came out Tony was reluctant to let us increase max amps above 100A but we convinced him to let us do 120… And don’t be fooled by anecdotes like “xyz ran 160A for 6 months and it’s fine”. Fact is that you’ve eliminated all safety margins so you need a solid portion of luck for it to work out
@@1c2h3i4v5a6s Tony just wants to avoid the support burden. I use 6.05 on every GtV kit. So if you feel comfortable upgrading, go ahead just make sure you follow the instructions such as my 6.05 video

As a road hardened member of the "anti-nosedive nosedive" club, I want to know that the controller keeping my wheel balanced is robust with lots of margin.

@@whatebrige definitely will do that before I hand over the GTV to its owner. Already tested it, it can definitely climb it but I do suspect it will overheat before hitting the top
Overheating will depend on how heavy you are, how hot your climate is, and how hard you're riding. I've been riding GTV for three months and never have overheating issues, but I ride mostly on the street. And I am only 150 lbs.

@@surfdado gotcha. I’m running a 5” techrails billet but I’m having issues with not enough torque to hop up on a driveway lip(while not carrying momentum), much like your son(?) illustrated with the chunk of wood. Got dumped off the board today because of it.
Love my gt-v. Ride it over my GTS. Would die for more mileage. GT-S showing 10 percent more battery to mile life over GT-V during my rides. 250lb rider.

Funny how all these vesc videos make stock fm boards look so shitty but yet my stock boards don’t under perform anywhere near what these videos show with lack of power, lack of turning compensation. I am interested in vesc for the increased power but man I feel like people just try to make the stock boards look worse than they are
Fack.. never pull connectors from the wires, needle nose and fror the plug body. Good vid . Fact charge only bms is more danger, but only 7f batteries are tgrough many cycles

I feel the GT-V is way safer now then the GT because of the low speed torque. This video really shows that.

I love my GTV kit. Feels so much smoother and more powerful than it did stock. The motor is also so much quieter.

Just got a gtv kit for my gt and I saw on Tony’s website that you’re not supposed to update your firmware and do refloat. Is that still the case?

GT 6.5” motor is notorious for overheating even on a stock GT - but i still need to do some testing to get my verdict

good question, I'm not sure tbh - seems pretty bright but I'm not a fan of the controller noise it causes
In my experience, not as bright compared to stock GT ones. Still better than stock Pint X LEDs though.
