Hi bro I already subbed, can you help me at 1:16 I didnt see an option on mine at "GPU acceleration" I only see "Off" I didnt have the "Optimal Advance Micro devices"
The secret tip is exactly what fixed my many year-long freaking issue. Idk how but you're the first person to ever mention that option, thank you so freaking much, bro
That was super, Duper! Why the frack do you only have 616 subscribers? Almost 14,000 have viewed this video. Oh, the humanity! Thank you for the great tutorial. I've used Vegas pro for years. Then I got a camera that uses the H.265 codec and Vegas refused to look at it. I thought I was going to have to learn a different video editor. Maybe now I won't!
Man.... You're a legend. I didn't believe that it could increase my preview fps by a large amount, but ...it actually worked? i've tried a lot of guides to do that, and only yours helped me. Thanks bro.
The one setting that did the trick for me is at 2:45 "File I/O" that fixed my problem, and I do have a pretty fast machine. thank you so much, you earned my subscription.
It has taken me so long and many headaches to finally. FINALLY find the one man who knows what he’s doing. All the other video just boil down to change the ram in Preferences which dosnt do anything for me, but this CHAD of a man has finally solved the bullshit of Sony vegas and for that. I thank you
A few of these tips worked for me on Vegas 20, thanks man. It sucks that we even have to go through all of these to have it running decently, I have really good specs so it was really frustrating and insulting. Great video. Edit: To add to this, I still get lag unless I pick auto on any of the preview options, Vegas doesn't seem to like it set to anything else...because of course it doesn't. So make sure you are always using auto when previewing. For me it even works with preview:best, as long as it's set to auto. Soon as I pick anything but auto, it's back to being unusable due to the lag... I still think it's better to probably try to find an alternative software that will actually work without having to constantly muck around troubleshooting instead of getting your editing done, and one that doesn't make your expensive high end specs feel like a windows vista system...
With the exception of reversed clips (which I'll happily fuckin' take any day of the week), this has deadass solved all of my problems with Vegas. Thank you so so much!! Especially that last one, never seen or heard of it before. Big ups
If you're still having trouble you may have to take the clip into Windows Movies & TV's trim, trim a smidge off and save. Load the trimmed clip into Vegas and the lag should be fixed. I got the idea from the Photoshop MS Paint image fix, where if images were loading incorrectly in Photoshop, resaving it under the same format but in a different location fixes it.
Finally i solved my problems, you didnt show but my setting in File I/O "Hardware Decoder" was on Intel - I changed it to Nvidia. My preview is not lagging anymore :)
Nice hope your channel grows, I've been using Sony Vegas pro and tricks like this to build my channel! It's the best experience I love to create and you helped me out!
Damn I Didn't Think This Would Work! I'm Doing Extremely Task Intensive Video Editing, And Even With A 3080 And 5900x I Was Lagging At 3 Fps! This Video Helped Me Get Up To 22 FPS, Still Not Optimal, But Damn Good!
How to fix the delay problem? I'm doing a Payday 2 montage, and towards the end my sound lags behind the picture (As seen during the shooting, the sound surpasses the picture itself). I remember that in version 16 this problem is solved in the "Internal" tab. if you change the parameter "enable So4..." to FALSE. But now this tab is not there, what should I do?
THE SOLUTION: Two things: The main thing is it's yourWindows Power Plan. Switch to Maximum Performance, and your problems will go away... from what you probably have it set to... Balanced, or Optimized. The best way to do this is to leave it as it is, but install Process Lasso and name MovieStudio as a game process, so wheeever it sees Movie studio running, it will switch to Maximum Performance Power Plan. Then when you quit the program, it will revert to Balanced or Optimized Power Plan under Power Settings in your Control Pandel:PardwarePower settings. But if you don't have Process lasso, you can do it manually just by opening the Control panel and switching to Maximum Performance whenever you are video editing. That one change alone should fix all your problems.
Can someone tell me in Vegas say you work on a project. All the project files are in one folder. But you have a second drive where you keep your standard sound fx and overlays and logos etc. So few assets are coming in from that 2nd drive. Now is there a way to save the project so that it will bring those assets from that HDD into this folder permanently ? I know there's a project archive save feature. But that will trim everything and put it into one folder which is good during project completion. What if im still working on the project. Now dont say manually copy each asset (mp3/png overlay/video overlay) and put them into this folder, that will be cumbersome to do every day as im working thru the project.
idk if someone can help me, but i use vegas pro 18 and have some bad problems with it... when i use keyframes and then close my program and start it up again after 2 days or so then all my keyframes are moved to the left... and i just dont know how to fix it. Can someone help me with this? thanks a lot!
my framerate was locked at 30 for some reason lol, it fixed most of it but there are some really short 1080p clips that i have in my project that drop the fps to about 20 when it plays in the preview, i have 0 clue why.
After render, in the beginning of the video, the sound its not sync, but after a few seconds it'll sync up. Example. It'll say, im the beginning of our story then it'll stop and the sound catches up and it'll start talking in sync (itll repeat the few seconds of the beginning of the video kind of like an echo) but most of the renders come out like that and then the rest of the render it just won't be at sync (rendering 64 videos). I tried the s04 and disable compound but it doesn't fix the issue. Please help?

Setting the RAM to 0 might have saved me from crashes and building peaks causing freezes. You have my thanks.

Wow! It works! The first time i tried it took forever to activate and when I disabled my antivirus it worked like in less than a minute! Thanks bro!

Actually works.. Just disable the real time protection in Setting. Wasnt sure that it would work .Awesome bruh..
ITS WORKING! nice job dude
It worked for my 64-bit PC. Thanks a lot.
Thank you! I have seen the last tip, but for an older version of Vegas, so I wasn't able to locate the setting in Vegas 18. You've done me a solid!

thanks bro,
lol
THE LEGEND RETURNS!!!
Didn't work for me. It's only certain media that lags, mostly when its transitioning from clip to clip.
VIDEO PROXY SAVED MY LIFE

don't forget to press "Shift" and then open "options"
@@Kozlikman ill try
@@Kozlikman it's not working. This software i was buy from shopoing online
i recently changed my graphics card, and before i did there was no lag, but now its almost impossible to edit. Is there a solution to that?
Ive got similar problem, ever since I changed my motherboard and processor to better ones it started lagging like wtf
Amazing video! Helped me go from 5fps to 60fps, thanks!

If you do that you greatly decrease the video quality
Eh, at that point that's too much effort. Just get a better software. Vegas sucks.
I've ditched it. Got to the point where nothing worked. DaVinci Resolve is a good alternative. @@jeeroylenkins3081
