I wanted to share a walk around and review of this 2019 Chevy Corvette Stingray because Christina and I absolutely loved the car. What do you guys think of Corvettes? Should Christina get a Z06 for her channel or wait for the mid engine Corvette coming later this year?
Jaret you do realize the ZO6 it's actually not the fastest Corvette that Chevy makes the fastest Corvette that Chevy has ever made that came out in existence is the ZR1 that one it's pushing well over 800 + to the wheel and has held the record for the fastest Corvette in existence look it up

@@jamescuartero haha yes I'm def aware of that but we don't need a ZR1 thats way too much power for Teens so thats why we would go with the Z06 model.
You know the price tag on that bad boy right with the ZO6 goes for right around close to a hundred thousand you looking at almost $170,000 for the ZR1
If you get a chance and if it's within team to review of looking at exotic cars drive the McLaren P1 car it is very fast but also very comfy as well from what I hear

regardless if you get a C8 or C7 cCorvette you should still wait for the C8 to come out because you should be able to get a C7 for really cheap
EdDude yea the Z06 has already come down in price and I’m sure will continue once the mid engine is released so we’ll def wait a month or two to see how things shake out

we will definitely wait till the C8 is announced but honestly I think a big part of the fun factor of this car is the front engine, rear wheel drive aspect so I'm not sure if the Mid engine corvette will be as much fun as this one...
@@JaretCampisi so true, the front engine will be missed. There is no telling how the C8 will be. Its going to be weird though.
You did a great job reviewing the corvette. I’m telling you, you need to be a motorcycle or car salesman because every motorcycle or car you review, I want to buy. $55K is unbelievable. I’m going to wait a few years and buy a used one. For now I’ll stick with my MV Agusta Dragster 800rr for thrills.

The Z51, GS, Z06 suspension total difference then base. I owned both and when you put it in track mode with the upgraded suspension. It's a huge difference
Two things: the trash truck at 10:00 made me think there had been and accident. And the compartment behind the touch screen....gold.

Jaret and Christina. If a Vette is really a serious consideration then buying one before there are to come out with the C8 in July might leave you kicking each other. You may like it or loathe it but have a look at the engine info courtesy of Car & Driver....
"This first Corvette C8 model we will see in July is the base Corvette Stingray, which will kick off the lineup. Initially, the C8 will use an upgraded version of the current car's pushrod 6.2-liter V-8, which we suspect will be upgraded to produce somewhere around 500 horsepower. The engine will also be renamed LT2 to reflect its new location in the car. A dual-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox supplied from Tremec is slated to be the only transmission choice.........
"Multiple high-performance variants are set to follow in quick succession, including Z06, ZR1, and a range-topping hybrid that may use the Zora name. The current thinking is that the Z06 will have a DOHC 5.5-liter V-8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, while the ZR1 will add twin turbochargers to that engine, and the Zora will get the twin-turbo V-8 and an electric motor in the front axle to cement its place as the most powerful Corvette, with a combined power rating that could approach 1000 horsepower."

Definitely a great sports car. They got the styling right, the performance right, the features and interior right, and the price right. It's really a very underrated car. It's too bad Corvettes have that stigma of an old crusty white dude about to die is the only people who like them and drive them because the new ones are sick.

5:50 I had a switch installed on the fuse for the exhaust valve so i can keep the valve open all the time and it sounds even better

The good thing about sitting in a Corvette, is you hear the powerful motor, you feel the power of the car just sitting in the seat, and you know across the whole United States that Corvette does have a good reputation, a lot of people know that it's one bad ass and Powerful car , Christina was really looking good today in the video, and she really looks good in that Corvette, she really does look like a GM kind of girl, so if you want my opinion, I think she needs to buy a Corvette. Like a friend told me one time about a Corvette, he said , there's nothing like a GM car, and you know what? He's right.

The roof on the coupe is called a targa top, and if you're gonna buy it get the Z06. You get better features, the car looks better and you get more power. If you do get the Z06 get the Z07 package with all the carbon fiber.

Jaret, I encourage you and Christina to check out the Grand Cherokee SRT or Trackhawk. Incredible power, potential and value. It's an SUV with a fat ass motor and AWD that both of you will enjoy driving everyday. Just my opinion. Have a great day!
The Corvettes of today are definitely a massive improvement of yesteryear as an all round package but if its a super car you’re after definitely better out there imo.

I owned 3 New C 5's......1999. To 2004. Including 2003 50 TH annv model...stop buying them when they went euro and ditched the flip up headlights...good review...you did your homework.....had heads up display since 2001
I just rented the same exact car and was surprised how much I like it.. it has exotic car looks and cruises very comfortably while listening to joe rogan.. but I can’t say it’s quicker than any Porsche
Absolutely stunning 2019 Chevy Corvette Stingray base. Beautiful weather in Santa Barbara too. I love the stock exhaust rumble from 6.2 litre. U both look awesome. U should go and rent Dodge Charger Hellcat too

Never been a Corvette-Fan. But this car was the most elegant Sportscar in Production. I really love it. Looks better than any modern Aston Martin. And looks better than the 812 GTS. The design of the Portofina can catch up with this.
You should look at the (all new) 2019 Aston Martin Vantage. It has the same V8 from the AMG GTS and is one of the most beautiful cars available.
Now that is class!

Wow, haven't looked for a new car in awhile. Im very lucky because all the nice electronics that 2019 has my 2015 Cadillac XTS Platinum edition has. Granted it was well over 50k but it was ahead of its time for GM I see. Very nice Vet tho I must say. Keep "sport" for my bikes and "cars" for US made luxury (this is all my opinion guys, I will not argue just checkout a youtube video of the 2015 XTS PLATINUM FULLY LOADED.)

Yeah american muscle! You two should also check out the Mustang GT350R, Camaro ZL1 1LE and maybe Dodge Viper ACR, huh? I think the ACR is discontinued. More affordable then the other exotic super cars.

The new Vette coming out looks sexy, kinda reminds me of a Mclaren though so you might get the ole you bought a knock off Mclaren comments but I'd have to wait to at least test drive one since you're in the buying mode.
One of the things about the C7 or C8 for you guys is in your area there more people driving them and seeing them every where vs the wow look at ________ (fill in blank car) but around my way I'd stand out and may be able to pull a lady as pretty a Teens :)
in a TARGA top CORVETTE C7 how far u can lean down the seats ?
this is a deal breaker to me..
✅it checks the box of a daily driving car
✅ it checks as a groceries and on the go car as it has so much trunk room
but what also makes it check as an EVERYTHING car if at least the passenger seat leans all the way down as this would be convenient to shift driving on road trips with a friend for example.
⚠don't mind this logic as this would be my only car and that's why i want it to check as many boxes as it can.

You mention that there was a test that concluded the Corvette had better 'handling ' than a Porsche? Which test, where is the link to the video? What Porsche, surely not the carrera 4S, turbo, turbo S or GT3?

If you are going to compare performance using using engine capacity, obviously something like this is going to better than a Porsche is some respects.
On that, if you are going to review bigger capacity, try AMG.
I can tell you guys are very unaware of just not super knowledgeable when it comes to sports cars and such SO let me give you 1 car that I highly suggest yall checkout and drive. 2014-15 Mercedes E63S AMG. you can get them for 50-60k and it will destroy any of the cars yall have looked at so far. Its very fast, Extremely comfortable, sexy styling, better equipped than anything else for the price, V8 twin turbo with 577HP and 600 torque stock which can easily be put to 700whp and 800 torque with a 1500.00 tune from eurocharged. I have owned 3 different E class AMGs and they are the greatest sports sedan ever made. Do yourself a favor and go find one to rent and live with and youll be sold.

First time, long time. That said. If you screw a license plate on the front of your Corvette like some old dweeb that embarrasses us Corvette owners, I will cancel my subscription and recommend that Christina not just leave you but run as fast as she can! LOLRH! Even in Cali where I am from, the chance of getting caught for no front license plate is so remote that you don't even waste the time to think about it. This from a guy who has had 5 Corvettes and waiting for the C8 model that bends frames and cracks rear glass. Like Dirty Harry said about mustard and hotdogs, nobody and I mean nobody screws a front license plate on the Corvette. I have my dealers note on my orders and file that if they punch one hole on the front or install the bracket on it the car is theirs. Don't let them bully you. My free legal advice to you is the law says you need one, it does not say the dealer must install one. Just saying. The Ducati is looking great!

You should mention... the car feels cheaply made. Suppose its fair for a sports car that costs 60 to 65K.. And after 1 hr your back will be screaming. They most uncomfortable ride in my life.
