we have rehearsal for a parade in the summer before band camp and that's when we get to scope out the freshman I'm going to be a junior this year. we're 2 days in and I've already adopted 3 freshman. their my freshman now and I will take care of them and there's nothing they can do about it

@Casey Salinas it also sucks because B-flat is the worst tuning note for flutes/piccolos, we’re supposed to use A, so it makes it even harder to tune 🤣

Yes. As they should. Schools that dont give pe credits for marchers clearly don't understand how much work and exercise it is to be in marching band. My highschool gave pe credit to marching band, dance team, and cheer but you had to do it for two seasons to get the credit.

i play percussion and i have an 86 measure rest, play for 4 measures, and then dont play for the rest of the song and i know exactly how yoj feel our band director always stops right before i play
one time at all state band one of my friends (who's a percussionist) forgot his sticks and music. we were all laughing our heads off bc usually he's the smart and funny one but yahtzee's just plain dumb lol
My section leader (battery) had all the music memorized four days into band camp but one time he got to the school before a competition and realized he didn’t have his pants or his shoes and had to call one of our trombonists because they were in his car😭
