I just watched this episode again (Time of Death) this evening, following the news of Ray Liotta's passing. His performance was beyond outstanding; I'm emotional and crying at midnight.
omg ray was so freakin' amazing, and this was set in real time, can you imagine walking into ER and within an hour you are gone! for me his best performance ever
Ray Liotta...hands down #1. I literally watched that twice in a row when it first came out. And did the same thing a few weeks ago as I've been rewatching the series. That episode and Ray's acting in it is absolutely incredible.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged in the early days TIVO was way better than the generic DVRs that came out later. I loved it. At some point DirecTV and TIVO split up and DirecTV switched to their own DVR. I wasn't happy about it but eventually got used to their DVR.
i had never watched this show. came across it one day , with ray , wow, so powerful , filmed in real time, and he gave the most amazing performance, how could you not be drawn in and cry
I actually shed a tear when Mekhi held his hand and felt it when he let go of life!I always have a lump in my throat when the young man plays the obo after a good audition and finding out that his mother doesnt have cancer but TB!
Always liked him so much but don’t think I ever really fully appreciated his talent until this performance, I was blown away, and it haunts me to this day. I have watched it several times over the years and the impact remains the same each time, it is unbearably moving. I am crushed he is gone, but it sounds as though he was happy in his life. RIP Ray, you made a difference.
I cant find rays full scene. The editing when he is dying and he is on a bus or train and is alucinating and tries in despair to see his son as he dies alone in the desert of his mind...
I love the random people I see in ER/ Some of my fav are Michael Gross & Fred Ward, (bc I'm a Tremors fan) Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins were both there (not in the same episode of course) and I've seen at least 3 from Once Upon a Time.

Repeats usually took time and if you missed watching it on TV, well, too bad.

I had forgotten about TiVo.

8:37 is such a real portrayal of frustrated dependent elderly patients.
When Carter said with him til the end was a defining moment for him, he saw him not as a patient but as a person.
