When Mark's tumour came back, I wept. I just bawled when Rachel told him she remembered the lullaby. Watching a Man who could make split-second decisions, having the people around him take a deep breath and RELAX and saving a life to having to painstakingly getting his brain to form a word to speak and being physically drained while telling his Child to "Be Generous" made me cry so hard!!

I remember a long time after this episode first aired, a news station had interviewed a woman who'd also discovered she had a brain tumor, after doing the same thing; not being able to stick her tongue out forward. Her doctor put her through a series of tests and diagnosed her with having a similar tumor. The woman was able to beat the cancer, but said she was grateful for this scene.
Just started rewatching this show this week. I was hooked originally as a proper youngster, lost track when my clubbing days took over and by the time i wanted to catch up it had finished. Thank God for binge watching on demand availability. What a show!
This was and always will be the very best and most amazing show ever made!!!! I absolutely LOVE this show, have all the seasons on DVD and watch them a lot...I so wished they could have kept making the show, I would have watched it for 500 seasons!! :)
It's so amazing how morganstrom told you set the tone to dr Greene, then Greene said it to Carter and then Carter had to say it to Morris and that helped Morris become a better dr.

You could see the love even when they were apart. Abby's face when she heard Luka was reported dead, and the change in Luka's face with the possibility Abby was raped and then he found and beat the snot out of that bully are two examples that jump out at me.
A beautiful love story aren’t they ? They made you ache for them to be together every moment when they weren’t. I was beyond grateful they found each other and stayed together. Abby was devastated at the thought of Luka being dead snd Luka snapped big time in season 9 because he missed Abby so much.
There were so many powerful moments on ER i especially love the episodes with abbys mom Sally field..... I love this show and I'm so happy they put all the episodes on hulu
That Mark bit scared the hell out of me. I know exactly how he feels as have been through a moment of fear when I was convinced I had something serious. It's the worst feeling ever and consumes everything
The NICU scenes hit me in a certain way when I watched as a kid. Little did I know years later I’d have my own NICU baby (who is now almost a teenager, healthy and happy). I felt oddly connected watching it so long ago and I swear seeing it helped me get through it.
I watched ER from beginning to end. When Mark had his seizure, I cried because I knew what he was going through. Except my tumor is benign. I haven't had a massive Grand Mal seizure in 15 years now but I'm having trouble with the tumor again.
"No! I got stabbed! I got stabbed in the back and where were you!?!?!! Bobby died and I lost a mother...!" Period! Point blank! I've felt that pain...and I felt this!

Poor Paul McCrane...he has 3 of the worst deaths in history: Emil in Robocop, Deputy Briggs in The Blob (1988) and Dr. Romano in E.R. Of the 3, this was the worst: the helicopter took his arm....and then a year later, SPLAT!!!!
Killing Romano was a huge mistake by ER. They had a phenomenal actor and they just let him go. They could've turned his character into something special

Romano and those damn helicopters!! I'm sorry to say, I laughed when it landed on him! Getting his arm chopped off was shocking, but this was almost comical!
This show had every possible disaster. Hostage situations. Explosions. Plague. Guerilla attacks. If they could, the writers would have created an entire episode where the ER gets sucked into a tornado and they have to do emergency surgery while flying through the ER.
It's unnerving to that condolences are being given in grainy VHS video knowing that that same war just finished yesterday with HD cams around like, with everything. I served in VHS mode and finished in V

Please look it up on Google. E R is there for “free” in a couple of sites. It is a bit picky to load to watch, but have patience. You will save a ton of money, it’s worth it. On Apple TV it would cost you $4.00 per episode and YT $2.99 plus taxes. I have been binge watching thru these sites for a month now. So much enjoyment, can’t believe it !!😅

Carter was born rich and had more family problems than any of the other characters on the show. That's great writing.
