I must have watched this show more than any piece of media in my life I’ve only now just realised the can of hairspray Paddy throws in the bin is the reason the fire spreads so fast!
Mate I look forward to these every month. Something about seeing a transatlantic cousin lapping up some niche northern comedy is so warming. You're ace pal. Keep it up and stay safe.
Used to get home from school think I was maybe 13-14 and me and my uncle would be so excited to watch this and max and padddy road to nowhere and he’s now passed away gives me great memories
fun fact: Peter Kay did not want to make a Series 2 orginally, apparently he doesn't like to make followups to stuff he makes but Pheonix nights was so popular he made a series 2
Series 3 has been sat written and ready for years, It never happened as he couldn't get all of the cast together at the same time, Then there were a few "Fall outs" with some cast members and sadly it never got to go ahead, Which is criminal as it's so good.
This guy really loves this and i can tell because of his face at 22.50 . He is so deeply into this that i dont even think he knows he doing the jaw drop. Well done and well done for getting the northern humour. half of the English dont get it so yeh well done.
4:15 - they cut the best bit! This is the first of your videos I’ve watched so I wonder what else you might have missed? This is good anyway, thanks for uploading
"Are my eyes deceiving me Jerry or have you got two of my builders singing acapulco? Get down the pair of you!" same two builders in episode 1 Jerry has helping him rehears... Little hidded gag there.
When you read a bit deeper into the beef between Peter Kay and Dave Spikey after Phoenix Nights, it's a shame that Spikey's career faded into the distance after this. He was clearly the writer of most of the best work in this show when you watch Peter Kay's subsequent work, which in my opinion is relative. Kay flew by referring to his older stand up material, which was co-written by Spikey. Proof being if you watch Spikey's stand up show which is readily available here on UA-cam, and hear it in Kay's voice. Same stuff. Everything Peter Kay has put out since the mid 2000s has been co-written with another partner, most notably Car Share in the late 2010s, which was co-written with Sian Gibson.
Loving your reactions noah, keep up the good work,, i know you reacted to that one episode of steptoe and son, which by comparison is one of the weaker episodes imo, but if you do consider trying it again i strongly recommend the episodes "divided we stand" and "Oh, what a beautiul mourning".. Both in colour and both much funnier and eventful.
Lol I know this is an old reaction and not sure if you worked it out eventually, but Peter Kay isn't the drummer. Thats another actor called Toby Foster
@@makaio9578 hey it's all subjective! i just think phoenix nights has the edge in its writing. max n paddy are good characters, and kay n mcguiness are great comedy actors, but i think the scripts are pretty shit. phoenix nights had kay + Neil Fitzmaurice and Dave Spikey whereas max n paddy just had pete and paddy writing it. plenty of funny moments but not as many (imo) and the general episode structing and stuff is a lot worse (again , imo) max n paddy always felt a bit too "what wacky sitcom situation will our two heroes get into this week!" to me, which is fine, but i watched it through twice and i don't remember a single plot apart from the main hitman thing, whereas i could probz recite the entire script of phoenix nights :D
@@jageiosjgaeiojg Max And Paddy was good but definitely cliché and generic compared to Phoenix Nights and That Peter Kay Thing, I even think Car Share is better than Max And Paddy, but still it's a good show just not as witty
Fair warning: S2 isn't as good. Season one of phoneix nights is untouchable, and there's still some terrific moments in S2 but... well, the stuff with the Asian chefs particularly has not aged well.
Mate, i'm enjoying the complete series of Phoenix Nights on UA-cam, thx, but what the heck are you doing on it? If you're trying to 'add value' to an already comic gem then I'm sorry you have truely failed. Did you think that adding an american voice over would make american's appreciate the humour more or did you think that by associating your self to a classic that it might elevate your ego? Either or, please stop. It diminshes both you and the humourous content. Bell end!
In my eyes you're such a legend, take care Noah!
Paddy rocking up in his XR2 listening to Bodytalk 😂
XR3i Escort M8, XR2 was a Mk2 Fiesta!
I must have watched this show more than any piece of media in my life
I’ve only now just realised the can of hairspray Paddy throws in the bin is the reason the fire spreads so fast!
The two builders singing "Building a Bridge to Your Heart" were builders from the 1st episode being backing singers for Jerry.
I used to know them. Great blokes.
Mate I look forward to these every month. Something about seeing a transatlantic cousin lapping up some niche northern comedy is so warming.
You're ace pal. Keep it up and stay safe.
I actually think series 2 is even funnier, you’ll love it!
Max and paddy Road to nowhere my favourite
Looool I love how every British series ends with some tragic or messed up scenario
The look on Noahs face when he dropped that cigar.....
lol priceless
great series. young mary in the show who paddy has a thing for is sian gibson who whould later appear with peter kay as kayleigh in car share.
Some of the best moments are in season 2. So good man keep em coming.
Used to get home from school think I was maybe 13-14 and me and my uncle would be so excited to watch this and max and padddy road to nowhere and he’s now passed away gives me great memories
Return of Michelle Coffee from That Peter Kay thing for those that didn't catch it
coffees upset cos creams gone off
Forgot how funny this was. Wish we still had stuff this funny on TV.
just watch the endless reruns on uk tv
fun fact: Peter Kay did not want to make a Series 2 orginally, apparently he doesn't like to make followups to stuff he makes but Pheonix nights was so popular he made a series 2
Must have changed his mind as he made a few series of car share and a special
Series 3 has been sat written and ready for years, It never happened as he couldn't get all of the cast together at the same time, Then there were a few "Fall outs" with some cast members and sadly it never got to go ahead, Which is criminal as it's so good.

When he gets the note saying collapse,I actually did 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for this dude. I’m gonna make sure I go through all of these and like them for you
Series 2 is great, you'll really enjoy it

Brilliant, looking forward to the next series and then Max and Paddy. Cheers dude.
Great video. Will you be continuing That Peter Kay Thing?
Talk about going out in a blaze for the first series.
1:30 Blazing Saddles reference?
4:45 'Cocaine' made me shoot coffee out of my nose.....
so now season one is complete for a bonus u do the outtakes ? ull be in stitches watching them....
I think the second series is better than the first.
After Max & Paddy are you planning on doing Car Share...?
"Are my eyes deceiving me Jerry or have you got two of my builders singing acapulco? Get down the pair of you!" same two builders in episode 1 Jerry has helping him rehears... Little hidded gag there.
Is no one talking about the car alarm? 😂

Saw Spikey do stand up in 2004. He was absolutely hilarious.
Love the first episode of series two
Anyone know what the song is the brass band are playing at the beginning?
Wow that was some ending can’t believe it but I to enjoy it to here to season 2
Would this bloke know about right said / fred/ frank
Dennis is Paul McCartney's cousin.
And Emily Atack’s (Charlotte From Inbetweeners) uncle

Great video again, Only 6 to go, 2nd series is just as funny i prefer 1 but there's not one bad episode.
Who's that the Fonz?
How/Why I didn't see this when new is beyond me. I really must try harder with channel 4 stuff.
Lol I know this is an old reaction and not sure if you worked it out eventually, but Peter Kay isn't the drummer. Thats another actor called Toby Foster
And the less said about max n paddys spin off the better
Max & paddy was hilarious! I think it’s better than Phoenix nights tbh but that’s my opinion

The whole point behind Max & Paddy was that it gave the World more Peter Kay humour to cherish. Can ya hear me now!

Would you ever come to Britain? I think you'd like it here. You see really attuned to our sense of humour.
Thanks
Im ready to play marbles on stream :)))
You should react to the rest of Gavin and Stacey. It’s a really good series overall and I think you’d enjoy it
I'll be picking it back up again this month
please do more outnumbered x
Rising from the ashes of disappointed children who are learning karate,
Shit.
You should try max and paddy's road to no where if u haven't already peter Kay and paddy mcguinness
He is when he finishes phoenix nights
Plssssss react to white gold
Loving the super sexy haircut buddy!
Will you be watching the max & paddy spin off series afterward, continues on from Phoenix nights and is arguably better, sadly only ran for 6 episodes
That's the plan yeah.
@@bradders9743 No it's not!
It’s probably the worst thing Peter Kay has done; it’s not bad but it just isn’t on a par with Phoenix Nights or Car Share.
Series 2 is much better

Season 2 is great, it's way funnier just less charming and less cozy in a way
I think season 2 is better
