Some have said my videos are too long. They suggest I edit the mistakes out, and it would help with the overall length of the video. I tried that on a video that was originally 25 minutes long. After editing the mistakes, I was left with a 5 minute video. 🤷🏼♂️ In order to maintain my watch hours, I'll leave the "misteaks" in.
Thank you for your wonderful videos that make our work much easier. I need help on how to design a house roof-type piece with four sides. I can't make it fit the pieces because of the perpendicularity of the base height and the total height. I have tried everything and they don't fit because of the thickness of the wood used. I appreciate your help.
How can I help you? Contact me at hobowithwood@gmail.com. Include a file that you are trying to make work. Or photos demonstrating where you are failing. I am happy to help.
Thank you so much! I have a bunch that are like that. I’m interested in seeing how you fix them. My methods aren’t the most effective, I’m sure. Thank you for all your instructional videos.
I will be uploading second part of this probably first of the week. If you have a particular file you are having problems with, I am happy to look at it and evaluate it for you. If after watching the second part of this series, you want me to have a look, send it to me.
Nope. Was my first response. Then I thought about it and thought it might work. Then I tested the theory. I was right the first time. Nope it won't work. It was a great idea. But if you try it, simply put the letter D on you workbed. Add a few tabs like you think they should be. Then without even sending the job to the laser, look at the preview. You'll see the tabs would work, EXCEPT, tabs will not join the inner and outer cuts. Nothing will fall away. But you made me think. I like that. Thanks for watching.
Yup. With them in the video, I shouldn't have a hard time convincing my accountant my gumballs were a business expense. Following that train of thought. I should be able to write off me liquor expenses as well. I design mini bottle holders for gifting liquor.
The only catch I can see is, they can't be the same bottles everytime. But you can justify the need to get every different bottle to insure they work in the design. Next thing to look at is designing full-size bottle holders for fifths and wine.
binge watching to get caught up.
I just love this community. Your generosity in assisting this fellow laser member is very commendable..loving this channel..thank you
I love seeing problems. It helps me to learn from others mistakes. PLUS, it gives me the opportunity to share what I learn with others.

Good informative video. Could you use tabs to keep the centers of the letters from falling out?

nice video!!
Part 2 is where it gets really good.
It was very nice of you to go out of your way in helping this fellow 🙂
I am really enjoying teaching others what I've learned.
I spy with my little eye a box of gumballs in the background :)

@@HoboWithWood I lasered some of those mini bottle holders :) If I can write off liquor then I am starting a business TODAY!
