    Great video and build! Thanks for sharing! If you were going to use this rack with belly heat, would you be running a single long heat tape for the entire rack? Is the heat tape passing through those routed slots and running on the outside of the rack to go between shelves? Just trying to get a better idea of how your design accommodated tape for belly heat. Thanks so much!

    I want to build some PVC racks but the PVC board is like finding a unicorn, where the heck can you get it? I even checked the places you suggested in the US and there is nothing.

    need to know what best to keep ball pythons in an small tub then get the bigger ones later or start off to the big tub rack so you dont have to change the rack later when snake is full grown ty

    How do you drill the 5 inch holes for the heat tape? What tool would you use?

      just drill a hole in the back for the wire, take the plug off and feed the wire through, much easier!

    Quick question , what is the pvc listed as on the U.S vendor . everything looks like its just foam to me, over a solid PVC. iv built wood racks be for the same way , was gonna try PVC for a baby boa grow out rack this time .

      It goes on the top of the bottom of each "shelf" in the rack. He mentions using a router to etch a notch for it in the first minute.

    Would ABS sheets work as well instead of the pvc?
    What are your thoughts on ABS?

      yes you could. ABS is good as it doesnt leach into water or soil so youll be fine.

      Awesome was just curious because it says u can mold it with heat and was worried about the heat tape worping it, or offgasing any fumes from the heat.

    I should be able to use this method for my adult females that I have in 56 quart tubs? running belly heat and that size tubs should I use 3/4" or use 1" to avoid flexing and causing sticking tubs?

    Where did you find these pvc boards I cannot seem to find them at home depot. What were the dimensions?

      If you look on home depot's or lowe's website search for pvc trim boards and it comes in 4x8 sheets. The website can tell you which stores have it in stock.

    Good luck finding the PVC board, for some reason these guys never want to let anyone what to specifically get and its not a common material at big box stores. Just use melamine it's great stuff just make sure to edge band any exposed edges and it will be totally water safe.

    What type of PVC did you use?? Does anyone know? I checked the sites but cant figure out what I am actually looking for and there are so many types of PVC. Some are like $50 and some are over $200?????

      Miss B small snakes especially juveniles like small enclosures. They can actually become stressed if the enclosure is to big and there are no hiding spots.

      Leandro Loureiro heat tape fits. heat cable you have to route a path for it.

      +Dakota Aquatics cost of one sheet that can make 3 of these racks is 150$. It's a very large savings.

    I really wish you would have made a video explaining how to put in the heat tape. Also your recommendation for a larger size rack and the dementions of the PVC this was so helpful for how to prepair a place for my hatchlings this spring but not how to give them heat! I'm not super handy
