The tray turned out just gorgeous Claire! I bet your dad loved it. However, I haven’t been too impressed with their molds lately. It seems like more and more have blemishes now. I can understand some blemish es/marks every now and then but top coating every piece can get expensive. They are a big company now and should have better quality control by now. I’m not usually negative about things, but they need to do better.

When you say a top coat will hide most things, is it possible to use a tiny drill bit, break through to the bubbles and then fill? Asking purely out of curiosity. The tray turned out fantastic, and I'm sure your dad will love it. ❤

I haven't tried it yet, but I've often wondered if it would eliminate the mold lines if you nestled the mold into a box of kinetic sand before pouring? (Kinetic sand would be less likely to get into the resin.) When it warms up enough for me to play with resin again I want to try it with one of my tray molds. Has anyone tried anything similar?
I would love to know if that would work.
