@Slyme1big just like in real life, sports teams are not ALWAYS good forever. Look at the Lakers for example. 80s-90s (to early 200s) solid title contending teams. Didn't win another until 2010. Fell off HARD then won it in 2020. Point being. You can rise, fall, and with the right opportunity rise again. With so many people fed up with 2k that window is starting to open a little more than people think. The only reason Live quit was they tried adopting something so new to "Elite 11" it was just ahead of its time, thus forcing them to go back to their initial title and play catch up after 2k had solidified a solid game... BUT 2k then was starting it's downward trend of their users not caring for the game, but having nothing else to buy

I still play 19 and get games mad quickly 😅 haven't played in a month or two, but if I hopped on rn I'd find a game. Most the people playing it now bought it because it was cheap and got so tired of 2k they said "why not"... and most of them actually like it. Imagine what a brand new game (or even updated rosters, jerseys, and additional accessories) would do

I remember Scott O Gallagher leaving 2k around 2020 and was thinking he was leading the NBA Live Team and somehow the nba got involved cause there was rumors it was going to a free to play model and have a licensed community college in The One Mode for 21. With the CFB news who knows if scott was primed for nba live but when the nba said no and he hopped on the CFB team for their experince because one of the devs on the new CFB game is a former dev who helped on College Hoops 2K8

In my opinion, they should’ve tried to get in on the new agreement with the college foundations like they did for football and make a college basketball game, moving in the direction of making a street NBA game after that….
Another clue that live is still being worked on is a short from Pat The Roc Tv doing dribbling mocap for nba live in 2022 and in one of the comments he recently replied “coming soon”

From what I heard, the entire team shifted over to the college football game. I just don't think that we are going to get another Live, ever. Similar to that 2k football game that was supposed to come out 2 years ago and we haven't heard a peep about it.
I hope this is real. I actually wrote a pitch ima send to everybody at EA to get this done.

@@keymonrobinson2617like what Rockstar has done with GTA V, virtual currency, new items etc. To this day I still can load up Live 19 and get a game quickly. Most the players I talk to are tired of 2k and got it (because it was older and cheap) looking for something new/different and love it. Live 19 did not have a "pay to play" system so it was more authentic. People genuinely like that aspect of it. If they updated Live 19 ever so slightly, incorporated the new players with updated jerseys I think they could still make a buck just off that without even slapping a new title like "NBA LIVE 25" on it (even though that has a catchy ring to it)
@@keymonrobinson2617 *if a game is Great and continuously supported, it will do the numbers. Fortnite taught us that, GTA5 taught us that. optional micro transactions don't hurt....99 cents for an item of clothing or a rare player....give mfs a dollar every now and then, it goes a long way* 👍

@Jevonechy You and me both, I love Live! That's all I ever played before they quit selling. I had Elite 11 on oreorder as a kid and it was the first EVER game I pre-ordered. I was bummed when they announced they weren't releasing it and all pre-orders would get their money back. I was devastated. I play Live 19 any chance I get.
@loganball7517 yeah I think I pre-ordered it too. I for sure had the demo. I played the hell out of nba live 10 , so I was ready for 11. Elite 11 was going in the wrong direction though. Well it had the right concept but somewhere they lost their way. Their mistake was letting Mike Wang leave and go back to 2k. Elite 11 was the game ea sports told Mike Wang they didn't need his services anymore. Mike Wang played a big role in the development of nba live 10. Ea biggest mistake was letting him go back to 2k. He was pivotal in the development of 2k11, and that game ultimately buried the nba live franchise. Nba live 19 was good, idky they just didn't keep building off of that Smh

What you mean rockstar been putting out updates for GTA v since online. Even rockstar has been busier than those who worked on live except Mike Wang.
@@jaysilva5854 they just put up UPDATES…not a completely new game on a new engine, that stuff takes a long time…especially for a game the size of GTA. Updating a game with DLC’s, new graphic renderings, etc is just a matter of coding. But building a brand new game from the ground up is different, so technically they’ve taken 10 years off to build a completely new game…same thing EA could be doing with Live 25

Bro....2k got basketball game for NBA on lock ...they do have a license with the NBA, so the NBA wants 2k to do good so they help fund 2k even though they don't need it. They can help 2k to shut down any competitor. EA Sports would need to come out with a game just as good ...no let me rephrase they would have to come out with game way better than 2k ...but investors don't trust EA Sports anymore. Also in 2 years 2K signs a new contract with the NBA the money will be doubled or triple than now.
EA Sports should do a better game than 2K by first bringing a better game with college basketball but it has to blow 2k out the water or it's a waste. If they can year later bring out NBA Live better than ever

Demi you’re reaching lol, nothing implies that there’s a basketball game in development. Mike Straw, who’s a journalist that’s been flown out to EA to play College Football 25 early has already confirmed that there’s no College basketball nor NBA Basketball in development. It’s confirmed, NBA Live isn’t currently being worked on. I know y’all make these vids for views, but playing on people’s hope isn’t a good look.
That intel account probably got clipped for putting out false information, Herb saying that they couldn’t even direct him to to talk to about NBA Live tells you that there’s no division or team for the game. Not that they’re keeping it top secret. You talk about how they announced College football and that further proves the point that there’s no Live rn. They announced they were working on it years prior, then gave an update still with some time to go, then next year began the roll out.
Would love for a return, but at the moment there’s NO basketball game being developed by EA Sports.

No they didn’t, they still have NBA live mobile which is always updated with the current rosters. If they lost the license, they wouldn’t be able to produce a mobile game.
